    Description

    Hello

Is there anyone needing to grow passion and experience on social financing? we have a space for you in our organization. Yes we are excited to reach a milestone of two years since the date of its registration, we have done many initiatives, I can mention few especially those we did together with previous volunteers.

With Carijn from the Nutherland developed a roadmap that we call strategic plan for our organization, which refined with some inputs by Anna Harris from UK when developing a fundraising plan. After their flight in different times, it has been a whirlwind of positive developments based on stakeholders feedback. We have refined a development plan and the guidebook/Vademecuum that serves as a central resource for all aspects of organizational management, expecitng also to host Salome from France June 2024 to August 2024 who will volunteer time supporting with the organization communication strategies and partnerships.

We are a Tanzanian startup NGO "", passionately working to restore ecosystems, mitigate climate change, and empower communities through the domestication of native trees. It grows up to global NGO stage, with its main purpose of combining nature and small household income generation opportunities, to make community feel valued and be the stewards into tree planting activities for protecting earth against climate change impact and biodiversity loss. Community should consider vegetation as partners in their struggle for survival and willing to ownership of important nature’s system such as pollination, nutrient cycling, water infiltration, air purification, soil formation and rainfall cycle.

Forests play a vital role in regulating rainfall patterns and maintaining soil fertility. Deforestation disrupts these functions, leading to unpredictable rainfall, droughts, and soil erosion making agriculture, the primary source of income and food for many communities significantly more challenging. Erosion, reduced crop yields, and water scarcity all contribute to food insecurity and hunger. When agricultural productivity declines and limit water access due to deforestation, food insecurity becomes a major concern leading to extreme poverty, as communities struggle to afford food or lose income due to crop failures in turn, lead to further deforestation, creating a vicious cycle.
The problems are getting worse, people are still poor and can't escape poverty. Farms aren't doing well because land is degraded and infertile, there's no pollination, nutrients are washed away by rain, landslides are causing deaths, erosion is increasing and dividing land. Still washed away materials are causing floods, floods overflow riverbanks, people are displaced and forced to move to hills and mountains, this leads to more deforestation. What next? surface runoff increases, with no water to feed wetlands or rivers, this causes extreme evaporation, drying up rivers and killing wetlands, many animals disappear and become extinct.

To further amplify our impact, enabling us to reach more communities and contribute significantly to a healthier planet for all, we are Seeking passionate volunteers to join our mission! From september 2024 to April 2025 helping with social financing.

    Here's how you can contribute:

Can you stay for atleast four moths? we need you to be with our team on Social financing role and partnernerships as to fundrase for the activities in our organization. You don't have to be full competent and equiped with skills and experience to help us though would be an added advantage, we are looking someone with passion to fundraise for an NGO like this, to negotiate with corporate leaders and finance this mission.

If you stay with us will work in close collaboration with the program manager and the CEO to implement the workplan addressing local fundraising in Tanzania, will set various meetings with corporate leaders whose their social corporate responsibility is directed on tree planting for protecting earth. I believe that this will help you also develop experience into your future career.

We are also interested to host volunteer to help in proposal writing and other funding opportunities

About our place and the kind of help we need:

Tanzania is a beautiful place of nature, you will enjoy staying with us, you will experience life of our community and experience true wilderness nature, eating raw indigenous wild fruits, nuts and un-pasteurized fruit juice made locally by squeezing and you may also involve in making the juice in local methods if you are happy with it.
