Description
We are a small farm raising two unusual breeds; Barbados Blackbelly Sheep and Mangalitsa Pigs. We need help with gardening, some infrastructure projects, for example, we are working on a bath house for our camping area, re-working our pigs' forest/pasture. We can also use help with worming, general care of the sheep, home renovation projects and I REALLY need to re-do our website and set up online shopping. We also have hiking trails that need signage, marking and clearing. We are considering adding a Disc Golf course as well.
We are making improvements on accommodations and hope to have that completed mid-November.Types of help and learning opportunities

We have a lovely place out in the middle of nowhere with no light pollution. Star gazing is nice here. We are involved with the Ag and Art Tour of Fairfield County which will be held on June 15/16 2024. We have several major projects on the to-do list but have checked off a few really big ones, including nearly finishing the house, getting the Vintage Camper set up with heat/air, a new stove, a TV, all those things that make it a comfortable, peaceful, retreat, etc.
Our main focus for our farm is our Barbados Blackbelly sheep and Mangalitsa pigs; both pretty rare breeds. We have a little farm store here on the property loaded down with our naturally-raised, healthy pork, chicken, lamb and beef.
We have lots of great neighbors and frequent visitors from all over.
Brad is very talented and is a great teacher when it comes to woodworking, building, etc, if you are interested in that type of activity.
There is plenty of gardening to be done, other interesting projects, such as clearing and marking hiking trails through the woods, animals to spend time with.Host offers payment in line with the minimum wage

We have a nice campfire area complete with a bathhouse. Monticello Lake and Parr Reservoir are not very far away.
