We had a great time on the island. Georg is an amazing host, very friendly and relaxed. Living together with him was very harmonic, he adapted to our rhythm and we could choose our own working hours. He also made sure we are comfortable with the tasks we worked on. Georg provided us with everything we needed (and more), he is really generous and we appreciated that a lot. He, for instance, also took us on boat trips, and it was really a value to him that we had a good time on the island. We could also use a small boat to get on and off the island independently, and exploring the island by canoe was also really fun! The island itself is a very unique and precious land, not too far from places with shops, bars and more. Joya, the dog is very cute and loves company. To sum up, we really appreciated Georgs kind nature, living on a private island was a really unique experience and we would without any doubt recommend this project! :)

Toni and Amelie were wonderful. At a basic human level, they are thoughtful, kind, respectful, and spirited. As workaways they were responsible, proactive, thorough, curious, dedicated to their tasks, and communicative. They enjoyed being in the kitchen cooking delicious food (they even made their first Mexican food meal!), helping out around the house and garden, and most importantly, adoring and taking good care of my animals! Mature beyond their years and lovely to have around, they are the type of 'youth' who remind those of us who are older, that we can have hope: we really might be ok in this crazy world. Highest recommendations!

I spent 3 weeks in this magnificent community! First of all, I fell in love with the environment, the garden and the alpacas. Then I became attached to every single person. Everyone is open-minded, and there's a truly peaceful atmosphere. Yoga and meditation in the mornings really allow you to reconnect with yourself and others. And afternoons are free to go to the beach or for a hike. I really enjoyed the fire circles that are offered every Sunday for simple conversation. My time at Salt Spring left a deep impression on me and I can only recommend this human experience. Thank you Lou and Greg I send you my love

Our time at Mori's and Makiko's was about as good as a workaway can possibly get. Mori has dry but good humour, and Makiko is so sweet. The work itself was more than fair (actually, the fairest we've seen so far). We worked about three hours per day and if we worked more we had extra days off. You don't do work he doesn't really like to do either. Usually he cooked for us (delicious food) and typically there were leftovers we could have for lunch. The room was just perfect, the sun hit our window in the morning and we basically had our own bathroom next door. We could always get a ride to town, and whenever they went to the Onsen they would always ask us if we wanted to join. All in all, a truly perfect stay. We will definitely come back if we visit Japan again!

Jamie was our first volunteer for our house and garden project here. There couldn't have been a better fit! Although young, he's extraordinarily well-mannered and pleasant to be around. Because of his kindness and gentleness, we could focus on having fellowship with each other and work became just a part of it. He performed every given task with skill and a cheerful attitude. There were some unpleasant projects, like cleaning out the barn and moving a heavy stove to the first floor, which I would never even have started without his positive influence. At some point, the options were eating ice-cream or getting the stove up the stairs: he chose the latter! We would have liked him to extend his time with us but sadly, he had to leave. I fairly enjoyed our hikes and bike rides together, the cooking and baking, singing, badminton, tennis and backgammon. But foremost, our conversations about different aspects of life. He seemed genuinely interested and asked very thoughtful questions. I hope to have gained a friend and would like to see him again some day! Thank you, Jamie. All the best for you!

Leandro and Joice are wonderful persons , we loved have them with us . They were smart , practical and adorable we will miss them deeply . Great in helping in every way and above all beautiful souls ♥️. We recommend them to anyone as they are super organized , great at home and outside , and Leandro is also very helpful with any trouble with computers or phone , plus Joice is great in coordinate the handicraft and creative creations done at home as we love arts and creativity . They are just perfect . Keep their house nice and clean , always , very well in order , and very good in taking care of my place too . We are enthusiastic of them both and wish them all the best . Super recommended ❤️

I have spent a wonderful time with Darren! He came to Mons for a week, and we non-stop talked about a lot of subjects! Darren has a lot of very interesting facts about his life as he has lived through quite a lot of things! Of course, we also discussed a lot about computers and home automation, as those subjects are common interests of ours! Darren was a great help with the joints of the patio and the ceiling of the bathroom. He is quite a handyman with experience. He is very proactive and autonomous, whether it is regarding work tasks or daily life. Darren arrived with a lot of UK products for me to try, which was very lovely! Thank you so much, Darren, for those inspiring discussions, your help, and your kindness! I wish you the best for the rest of your trip! Don't hesitate for a second to host Darren!

The strong and hard working man, wow uncle Pet is so advanced with his skills , thank you for being part of our building team, within a month we managed to build a chalet to rent out and a chicken house for our egg project.

Grace was a wonderful person to host. She was very willing and capable. She was a happy person who even did some concreting.

Staying at Leoni and Peter was an amazing experience. I initially planned to stay 3 weeks and ended up spending 2 months at their place🤣 They made me feel at home and welcome from the very first minute I stepped into their farm. They are amazingly generous, kind, comprehensive and fun. Good music. Good food. Great times. Their farm is absolutely beautiful, a great immersion in nature with comfort. No need to talk about how sweet all their animals are. I will definitely go back to Mendiko and would recommend this experience without hesitation !

Camille is a strong woman and she is very hard-working. Within one month, she helped us building a chalet to rent out and the chicken house, which all required a lot of help (clay, concrete, cement tasks and wood work). We are happy to not have her only as a workawayer, but we have become family, we are deeply grateful for who you are and for your emotional intelligence 🙌🏾 ndoku ………..

These two were a dream! Super independent and worked very hard on a wide range of tasks. They handled numerous renovations, gardening, and general maintenance with great efficiency. They were wonderful company and just all-around lovely people. Highly recommend!

OMG, I was checking my profile and I just realised I forgot to leave the feedback to Cari, as she's a wonderful friend from the heart! (And she never mentioned about!) Of course, we keep in touch and I'm so looking forward for her to come again (and again and again!). Her stay was a pleasure, we enjoyed, worked together, eat together, laugh together as well as enjoyed our own space on our own. I couldn't ask more for a kindest, loving and helpful person. She has a "savoir faire" in life and an inner wisdom that provides the perfect balance between being helpful but never invasive, having a deep conversation but never too insisting. I don't know how to express the inner harmony that she expands around. I feel so lucky to have met her! I strongly recommend her to any host. Thanks so much, Cari! We had the immense pleasure of hosting Agathe, a French instructor, at our school for ten days, and we cannot express our gratitude enough for her presence. Agathe brought a wave of kindness, competence, and professionalism that had an immediate positive impact on our team and students. Despite the initial issues due to our school's recent opening, Agathe demonstrated admirable patience and understanding. Her ability to quickly learn all the nautical terms in Italian was astonishing, allowing her to collaborate with the instructor team from the very start, brilliantly overcoming language barriers. Agathe adapted with great ease and managed to create a welcoming and stimulating learning environment for the students. Her dedication and enthusiasm were contagious, and her expertise made each lesson a unique and formative experience. We are extremely grateful for her contribution and sincerely hope to work with her again in the future. Thank you, Agathe, for making these ten days so special!

This was my first workaway experience, Benoit was welcoming, flexible, considerate and friendly. I spent a week with Benoit in May 2024, we'd had a WhatsApp video call before my trip to Belgium and having some common interests, I was looking forward to helping him with his house renovation. Ben gave me a series of different and worthwhile tasks, but we also talked at length about life experiences and cultural differences, which made the experience that more rewarding. He also pushed me to refresh my French, even though his English is perfect and I loved visiting and exploring the region. A fantastic host, Benoit had the peefect attitude to help me understand how a good workaway experience should be.

Our time with Margaret and Richard was amazing! We did so many fun things and loved every part of it :). They showed us around the dairy farms, Cally and Marcus took Emma horseback riding and we've had really funny moments together. We really hope we will see you again! And we cannot wait to show you around in The Netherlands one day:).

Hi, I've stayed with Rudolf for two weeks and if I ever come to Munich again I certainly would like to stay with him again. Rudolf is very intelligent and funny and was always looking to provide me with what I needed. The work is very easy, mostly shopping, sometimes cleaning and occasionally he needs help to get to an appointment. Most of the time we spent talking about anything and everything, he is a smart man without being stuck on just his opinion. And in the evening I had my private time in my room, which was very comfortable. Thank you for a fabulous time. All the best

Besir stayed with us one week, he helped to repair Art studio, some good idea. He is easygoing guy, open mind and good attitude. Highly recommended.

Lovely , warm people. You will be their part of a family. There is a magic when Cheyenne cooks food ..it's very tasty 😋. The children nyuwen and Bar bagha you can't match their energies.
