We are deeply grateful that Sophie came here to help us out for mostly three months this spring. She is an energetic, responsible and kind person, who helped us with a variety of things. She cooks super nice and tasty meals and is efficient in the kitchen as with all other things she is doing. She brought delicious recipes from France and taught us a lot about seaweed harvesting and cooking. We now have a precious hand written sea weed recipe book. I was also very happy she fell in love with the greenhouse and garden work, and thanks to her the garden is better off than in a long time. Sophie is a practical person and can surely do many things. She was also a very good help in painting rooms indoor. Naturally, we miss Sophie a lot, but are happy we made a connection for life! We warmly recommend her to other hosts.

Pablo was one of a great bunch of volunteers who helped with our Color Fests in Salt Lake City and Ogden. These were on back to back weekends: Ogden we took the motor home, slept the night in Lorin Farr Park, and set up the stage, tents, exhibits flags etc. 1,500 attended this event. The next Sat June 8, 2024 we were on our own turf at the 4 acre temple property in Salt Lake City. Even though Pablo was within a few days of the expiration of his visa, he helped us out with SLC as well. 3,000 attended this event. We were grateful for the help that Pablo provided. The next Monday he flew to Canada to fulfill his visa requirements. He is polite, soft spoken, not a fast moving worker but slow and steady. He would get things done. He complimented the other volunteers nicely, both in work and in recreation.

My week by Chantal was very nice. The house is in the nature, very quite and relaxing. I helped in the garden and looked after the lovely dog. Chantal told me many interesting places to visit. So I was also busy with Sightseeing with my car. Cantal is a very beautiful region.

Me and my partner stayed with Meslisa for 10 days and had an amazing time in Xalapa. They are located in walking distance to town and activities. Melisa even took us to Xico waterfalls on our day off! The work is varied and will change often depending on the needs of the business. Some days we packed chips, worked in the shop or helped clean. We even learnt how to make soap and candles. Melisa stayed in contact in the run up to the volunteering and picked us up from the bus stop which was great! Melisa and her roomate were both lovely and made us feel welcome. They provided eggs, rice, milk and cheese to cook with and we sometimes cooked for each other. Overall this was a great volunteering experience and we will hopefully be back soon!

I had a very good time at Johans and Ylvas place in Hedemora. It was a lot of fun spending time with little Lion. Spending time with the rest of the family was also very nice. The whole family is super friendly and solicitous. And the time with little Lion was very funny. In addition it was also possible for me to come earlier to Hedemora and I was warmly welcomed. That was really nice in my situation. I can highly recommend the family and the beautiful city Hedemora.

We had the pleasure of staying with Andrija for 4 days and we loved it! Great relaxed island life with fabulous food, company, dry stone wall building and having the luxury of the beach on the door step. Andrija cooked amazing meals for us and was always there to support us in any way. Hopefully we will return one day! If you are interested in dry stone walls and using organic produce from the garden for cooking, this will be the place for you!

We spent just over 2 weeks at the farm with Karen and Chance and it was a fantastic experience. We felt comfortable as they welcomed us into their fabulous home. The work was varied and fun - learned some new skills, felt like we achieved a lot of projects during our stay, and had the most wholesome time looking after adorable baby goats. We were able to get immersed in farm life and see some of the realities of living in this wild area - thanks so much!!

Cathal has adapted well to the conditions and rhythm here. He was looking for a place to recover from emotionally tough times, and so it was easy to forgive him if he couldn't get much work done. He already jokingly called himself a 'lousy farmer'. If you want to meet an Irishman with a story or two, invite Cathal to your place.

Julien, fue de mucha ayuda para nosotros, siempre ayudo en lo que se le pedía con muy buena voluntad. El cuido el lugar mientras nosotros estuvimos en Punta Arenas, cuido a todos los animales muy bien.

Nicholas and Van were with us just less than two weeks and the time sped by. We wish they could've stayed longer! This delightful, respectful, kind couple added a spark to our house and did their best at everything they tackled. They helped with a variety of tasks around our house, including big jobs like making all the windows sparkle, and small jobs like brushing the dog. Everything was done with excellence and a cheerful attitude. Van made us some incredible dinners, with Nicholas as her capable sous chef. If I could do it all over again I would ask them to cook every night! These two put a huge dent in weeding the garden and taking care of the yard, and did some indoor housekeeping tasks which made our house look bright and clean the whole time they were here. We really enjoyed our conversations with Nicholas and Van, enjoyed sharing some videos, and were delighted to learn that Nicholas is a "famous" (my conclusion!) YouTuber. Don't wait 'till the end of their stay to check out his videos-- You will be impressed. Nicholas shared his skills with cameras and videography, helping Steve get started on a run for public office by making a short campaign video of Steve by the river. Then Nicholas spent quite a bit of time sharing tips and tricks for us making future videos- such a cool skill to be able to share (and Nicholas was so open to helping and sharing). I'm still chuckling about how they contributed to the cultural exchange by getting us to watch a Ghibli animated movie. I'll definitely watch more and am glad they exposed me to this producer! We also learned a lot about Vietnam, and trekking in Nepal. All fascinating. With their varied backgrounds, these two bring a wealth of knowledge and experiences to the table. They're flexible, enthusiastic, independent, and use their time wisely whether for planning for their next adventures, exploring the outdoors around our area, or getting tasks checked off our list. We thoroughly enjoyed hosting Nicholas and Van, appreciate all the help they gave us, and miss them greatly. We sincerely hope they will visit us again, and we recommend them to you!

It was a great experience! I spent a week there and the work was a bit tough, but the experience was totally worth it. There are some activities that you can try with the volunteers. We were supposed to go to the sea, but Burak's car was unfortunately under repair, I would like to thank Burak and his family for everything. I had a lot of fun!

Yo, mi pareja y nuestros dos perritos estuvimos aquí dos semanas. Cesar nos recibió con poca anticipación de nuestra parte y fue muy amable:) éramos seis voluntarios juntos con un grupo de Alemania y disfrutamos mucho el trabajo en equipo y las comidas compartidas! Cesar esta construyendo una casa para su familia y el trabajo a veces es muy duro pero con mucho aprendizaje! Gracias Cesar y tu familia por recibirnos en tu casa!

Dennis, Anja and their son Max were nothing but friendly and welcoming. I felt right at home staying there and I am hoping to go back one day. I enjoyed the work and I had more than enough time to explore.

Planeé quedarme 1 mes en el campo de Jennys y Mauricios y terminé quedándome 8 meses por lo cómoda que me sentí allí. Todos en el rancho son muy amables y divertidos. Me hice amigo de cada uno de ellos y me siento como si tuviera una nueva familia en Ecuador ahora. Mauricio es el jefe de cocina y suele preparar las comidas, que siempre son ricos. Sin embargo, a todos les gusta que los voluntarios compartan sus propias recetas. El trabajo es variado y sobre todo físico, como plantar árboles y sembrar vegetales, preparar la tierra, deshierbar, abonar, arreglar el camino... a veces duro, a veces relajante, pero siempre divertido y gratificante. Después de almorzar eres libre de seguir tus propios intereses, pero siempre me quedaba allí más tiempo para jugar naipes con Maria, Mauricio y los otros voluntarios. Normalmente hablábamos en español en el campo. Así que es una buena manera de mejorar tu español. Pero también saben inglés para cuando no entiendes algo. No puedo agradecerles lo suficiente Jenny, Mauricio, Maria, Sebas, Lucho, Noa y Luna por tenerme por 8 meses. Les extraño y les mando un fuerte abrazo.

Our family had the most wonderful time staying with Estelle, Christoph, Simon, Raphaël and Yoann. As our first workaway experience we did not know what to expect, but we can only hope that our future workaways will be as kindhearted, generous, open, and fun. I had a really good time homeschooling their boys with my own son, sharing language learning (they practiced English while we practiced French), my husband and I both enjoyed our work in the garden and all that Christoph and Estelle taught us, and my husband enjoyed his work on other building projects. It was a beautiful communal experience--we shared delicious food, joined them in their day to day celebrations and activities, and worked together to keep house. On the weekends they were happy to bring us along to their social gatherings as well as send us off with great ideas for hikes and activities. Their generosity touched our hearts and we wished we could have stayed longer. If the timing works to come back, we would do so in a heartbeat; and we'd welcome them all into our home in the future.

Hola Luis and Tezka! What a great experience, so much more than we could have ever asked for. Luis and Tezka are such great guys, it was fantastic getting to know them and being a part of this journey. Two of our friends joined us and there was no issues from Luis and with about 7 of us there most of the time we became a little tribe. The work was not too hard and we always looked forward to watering time everyday. It was great to strip back to the basics and have life centred around your basic needs. Overall, this was such a fantastic experience and I can’t wait to see the project in the future. All the best guys, hopefully see you again!

I immediately felt welcome and at home with everybody from the family ! Bruno (the 5 year old son) is a very sweet little boy, Adriana (their baby) is really adorable and Angela and Stefano are really nice people, happy to have you here and have you as a member of the family for few days ! I had the little guest house for myself, we also went for a bike ride to the village and I could learn gardening and how to make pasta with angela (was a lot of fun) ! Neighbors are also really nice ! It was a great experience, i would go back with pleasure ! :)

Lorenzo is a very peaceful and calm person and helped us with a lot of tasks like gathering fruits, and vegetables, cleaning, and cooking. His risotto is incredible, one of the best that I have eaten in all my life. The communication with Lorenzo was also easy and he gave us a lot of ideas for us to improve the place! Great hugs!
