    Description

Hi there! We’re Bec and Simon, and we’d love to welcome you to our beautiful 55-acre property in the heart of the Yarra Valley.

We’re a laid-back couple in our early forties, sharing our space with two friendly dogs and five curious goats. Our hobby farm is all about living close to nature and enjoying the simple pleasures of country life. Our goats play a crucial role in helping us manage blackberry growth and prevent bushfires.

We’re looking for some enthusiastic helpers to join us. We need a hand with our goats and fencing projects. Our big goal is to let our goats graze freely on pasture during the day and safely return them to their pen in the evening. We’re also excited about setting up a rainwater capture system specifically for our goats.

By joining us, you’ll dive into the world of goat care, learn about fencing techniques, and soak up the stunning views of Victoria’s countryside. If you speak German we can also! But if you want to practice English we're more than happy to converse as well.

We’re excited to host a few Workawayers to see how this all works and get some help on our property. In exchange, we offer a great spot for your camper (with plenty of off-grid options or an available powered spot) or a comfy guest room with meals included. Families in a camper are welcome, but please let us know the length of your trailer/van/bus for driveway access, and if you’re bringing any dogs. Our property is rich with wildlife and has some unfenced areas, so it’s a real nature lover’s paradise.

Just a quick note: our property also includes our retreat space, a separate accommodation business run by our staff. This isn’t part of the Workaway project since our farm isn’t commercial.

Once last thing! Apologies in advance if there is a delay in responding. We'll aim to get to it by the weekend.

We can’t wait to meet you and share our slice of paradise in the Yarra Valley!

I am currently updating this, however we are looking to fence our property for our land management/black berry control program of goats. We will be adding electric fencing and fixing the current paddock fences.
