We really enjoyed the stay at Arthur's farm, really liked the work, did a lot of different things and really appreciated that you and Arthur was always paying attention to be sure that everything was good for us ! Also Coldstream is a very nice small city, with a lot of outdoor activities, and Arthur let us use the truck, bikes and kayaks so that was really great Living with a lot of others workawayers can also allow you to meet new people and exchange on different cultures

I spent 10 days volunteering , and it was one of the best parts of my trip. By the end, I didn't want to leave! Working with the students and helping the teaching assistants run classes was really rewarding. I got to meet customers, learn about Vietnamese culture, and spend time with customers, staff, and other volunteers during our days/evenings out together, which were great fun. The café has a friendly atmosphere, and I met many cool people during my time there. I’ll always look back on the experience fondly and hope to come back someday. The hostel was relaxed, with nice cafes and bars just across the road—perfect for hanging out in the heat. I also loved exploring Da Nang; there are so many beautiful places to visit nearby. Thanks guys! Ollie

The time that I spent with Gülbahars family was not enough they showed me great kindness, love and willingness to teach me the work was not hard, and there was always an opportunity to help out if you get the chance to volunteer here probably be one of the best decisions to make your time in Turkey they made my time here, special, memorable and amazing and if I got the opportunity, I would volunteer with them again in a second lots of love Dane

This was my first workaway experience, and I definitely lucked out coming here! Living and working with Brian and Jen was a great experience. I got to stay in a lovely, comfy and well kept house for the duration of the stay, and got to experience lots of healthy and nutritious meals. The work (a short drive away) was varied and interesting, and the weather was magic, so I got to do a bunch of tasks outside like building a rabbit proof fence, prepping an area and planting a cover crop, digging a few holes for planting trees, touching up window frames, helping install some cladding and many more odd jobs. It was great to see the progress we made in just less than three weeks! Jen and Brian had plenty of suggestions of things to do and see while in Margaret River, so me and the other workawayer had plenty to explore. Playing Dutch blitz on the odd occasion after dinner was also great fun! Jen and Brian are just really good people (and their family that I met too) that make you feel very welcome, I had a great time with plenty of chats and laughs, learnt a lot, and would recommend this host to anyone. PS. Thanks Jen for showing me how to grow spouts, mums are a few days in now and she loves them!

I have worked with over 600 volunteers, and Sara was one of the best among them. You can even hire her with a salary because she deserves it. She is always ready to do even more than the tasks you ask her to do. I am very lucky to have her in October. Thank you, Sara.

I had such an amazing time! I worked with 3 other volunteers and we were such a nice team. The stuff was really friendly and I just made many new friends and could also work on my Spanish skills. The work is really easy and Joe is just the best volunteer coordinator! You can ask for your days off to be together, so you can do trips to other cities and the work time is really good to also explore Granada. Thank you so much for the great time! <3

I really enjoyed my time at Crystal's place! Gabriola is a beautiful Island with spectaculare beaches and a pretty interesting nature. The work is really fair and gives you a lot of free time to explore the Island. Her dog Aries is a wonderful animal and will be your best friend if you take him for walks to discover Gabriola's beautiful beaches and forests. We had a lot of interesting talks with Crystal, she is a very open-minded, generous and funny woman (who also makes the best salad dressing in whole BC😉). So I would definitely recommend this place! I will miss Crystal, her sweet kids and of course Aries, the friendliest (apparently scaries-looking) dog in the world! see you soon💌

Sandra and Alejandro hosted us with barely a day's notice and we couldn't have felt more welcome. We spent a lovely week here in this idyllic rural setting. Our tasks involved chopping and collecting wood from the forest, herding and helping immunise sheep as well as insulating windows. We were provided with nutritious and delicious meals for breakfast and lunch which included many homemade ingredients, from Kefir and Jams to garden vegetables and lamb. Due to our basic Spanish speaking level, our experience was enriched by both Alejandro's and Sandra's excellent level of English and they were able to share with us insights into Chilean culture, history and music. We have come away from this workaway with a greater appreciation for rural ways of life and for living more sustainably, learning about Aquaponics and having access to their private forest were certainly two highlights of our time here.

We started our Australian adventures at Micheles place. We immediately felt welcomed and safe, Michele is such a good hearted person. She helped us out with everything you can imagine, from finding a campervan to alot of tips and tricks you would need in a new country 15.000 km from home. We hade great fun working with different kind of stuff, from gardening, horses and baby chickens. We also met alot of friendly people that had their horses at Micheles place. We would highly recommend Michele as a host! 😊 One more thing, Michele makes delicious food!

While Saitu was a short stay by my standards we accomplished a lot and had great fun in the process. He was a willing helper in all the tasks I asked of him. He brings curiosity to new experiences as well as a great deal of warmth. I hope he returns before he completes his studies in the US. I recommend him without reservation. We remain in touch for which I am grateful.

We stayed 1.5 weeks with Barbara helping around the camping site (cleaning, painting, putting stuff in order etc.) It was an amazing time, Barbara is a very kind and cheerful person, it was a pleasure to be around her, she made us feel like we are a part of the family. I am amazed by the work she has done so far to improve the camping, she also helps the locals and manages so much stuff all at once. I am happy we were able to help her, if you are looking for a meaningful job and you are proactive with your tasks, this is a place to be! On the days off you can explore the nearby river, the beach as well Cahuita national park.

My experience with Katherina has been great, from all points of view. I felt very comfortable with her, as if we had known each other for a while. I didn't need to explain anything twice, she was always cooperative, energetic and willing to contribute with me and in my home. We had long and deep chats about everything, and I found a friend in her, apart from an amazing volunteer whom I strongly recommend. I had the bad idea to paint windows in the middle of winter.. but still, we found a way to do it and even had fun in the process! Gonna miss you Kathe.. and REALLY hope to come and visit you soon!

I got to have a brief stay with Bob and Xene with my friend Anna, who has made multiple trips back to Iowa since her first time here! It was amazingly lovely. The Barnyard is beautiful and there is so much art to soak in. Bob and Xene were a delight to work alongside--we trimmed vines, moved breezeblocks, and made progress on cleaning out an old bus to convert it into something new! Exploring the land was a gorgeous experience, and the food we shared together was delicious and home-cooked. I look forward to visiting again, hopefully for longer next time! Bob and Xene are creating something truly magical, and sharing their energy was inspiring and soul-feeding.

Max, my heart is so warmed by your remarks. You are our first Work Away individual and we have been so spoiled by you. You are so kind and willing to assist at every moment My garden could not be in the state that it is if it were not for you. All the animals love you and want hang with you all the time. We worry that the bar has been set too high for our expectations of future Work Away individuals. Thank you for bringing joy and light to our farm. It has been such a pleasure to have you in our family. Therese

I stayed in the farm with 조 & 정선 for 5 weeks during the spring time. It was full of teachings for me and I can only recommend you to go there. They often took us somewhere to visit with other volonteers and the balance between free-time and working time is perfect I think, you never get bored of the different tasks you do here. 조 is such a good storyteller, you will learn things all day long about korean history. Maybe he was history teacher in another life. 정선 is such a peaceful and kindhearted being, you will feel calmed down around her and her cooking skills enhance the already good taste of the vegetables from the farm. When I had to leave, there was suddenly some train workers' strike, but they cancelled the strike just before I took the train. What a shame, I could've stayed longer in the farm, but in the end, I had to take my train ! Jokes aside, I hope to see you again. Thank you 1000 times again :)

Workawaying with David was amazing! My friend and I stayed here for nearly two weeks, and the entire stay was absolutely lovely. David is kind and generous, the food was wonderful and fresh, and we were happy to trade work for a stay in paradise. We worked on practical and creative projects with much artistic freedom and got to spend our spare time swimming in the cenote, watching wildlife, playing music, and cooking meals together. The cabanas are very comfortable to sleep in, and we woke up to the sounds of jungle birds in the morning. We would both love to come back again and see how the cenote grows and changes!

We spent seven lovely weeks in Ben and Emma’s home enjoying the countryside in Brittany. The space they have curated is so cozy and special! Their humor, fascinating travel stories, and genuine kindness made for a relaxing and memorable time:) The two are a vibrant, funny and incredibly cool pair. We will never forget all the delightful music and films they shared with us; we especially loved experiencing their colorful social life. Loup as well the sweet kitties Simone and Muriel were exceptional little companions! Loup actually turned out to be an excellent buddy to learn basic French with!! And Ben and Emma had the best ideas about where in the region we had to see or what French food we could taste next which was very much appreciated. Our work mostly entailed renovation work as well as work in the garden. It was also such a treat to cook with and taste the delicious butternut squash and tomatoes from their last harvest. All in all our stay was inspiring and bunches of fun. They were so generous and thoughtful— truly a pleasure. Good luck guys!! And thank you ❤️
