Our stay at Laia's and Raul's finca in Ibiza was a wonderful and memorable experience. The farm's great setting amidst the stunning Ibiza landscape made it a truly unique place to volunteer. The hosts were welcoming and knowledgeable, and we appreciated the opportunity to learn from them about herbalism and sustainable farming practices. The tasks were engaging and varied, from harvesting aromatic plants to tending to the gardens. They have an amazing daughter Keira which was the best part of all this. She is super kind and helped us learn some more Spanish. Then there was the Abuelo that had some amazing stories to tell and we learned how to make the traditional tortilla. Living in a camper added an adventurous element to the experience. The overall good condition of the outdoor kitchen made cooking convenient, and the shared toilet facilities were clean. Overall, our time at the finca was enriching. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique opportunity to connect with nature and learn about herbalism while immersing themselves in the beauty of Ibiza. Thank you Laia, Keira and Raul for this opportunity and good luck with your project and your life. We hope to see you again one day.

We had a really nice stay with Gerry and enjoyed her company, house, and the presence of some other guests during our visit. She is a great host with an intelligent and experienced personality, and it's inspiring to see how she shapes her life and achieves her goals. During our stay, I helped with redesigning and rebuilding the website and guest rooms, but also rolled up my sleeves to build a pergola in the garden and attach bamboo to the ceiling of the "Lighthouse". My girlfriend worked on furniture to sand and repaint, and fixed the bamboo I later applied to the ceiling. She took excellent care of us, was flexible, and ensured a positive and pleasant vibe in and around the house. Thanks again, Gerry, and we wish you all the best!

Jacquelina is an exceptional woman, with deep insights, inner strenght, yet easy going, sociable, open minded and great cook. About tasks to do, she is very clear and open to any ideas. I highly recommend to go shopping with Jacqueline. You will enjoy how lightness of beeing tastes like in 21. century in Zurigo. We do, what we can! :)) Stay cool! R.

If there was a higher rating than excellent Eva would get it. She came to help out in the most busy time of the year and during a heatwave, and she was a rock. Her work ethics are phantastic, she does everything to perfection, is always on time, is pleasure to be around and never complaines about anything. We really really appreciated every second Eva was with us. Always welcome to come back. Thanks Eva for your amazing help. We miss you already

Marion is awesome! She is really fun to talk to about life, animals, Greece, the sun, the beach; everything really! I was planning to stay there about a week but ended up staying for almost a month! It was fun to work on different projects throughout my time there and build a chicken house, restore the paint on a boat and do some yard work as well. Marion and Kuldip are fun people, very generous and loving! I've left Kos with so many stories and lifelong friends! Definitely recommend volunteering with Marion!

It has been a huge help to have visits from these two amazing women. They have been super responsible and conscientious. We have had fun with walks in nature, boardgames and good talks. They fit easily into our family and it has been easy to enjoy ourselves together. It has been a really good match and we already miss them in our everyday life. We give Saskia and Sophia our best recommendations.

Being hosted by Gerard and Maggie was an absolute pleasure. They always make sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We learned a lot about gardening and construction. Gerard and Maggie would sometimes take us out on the weekend and it was always so much fun. Gerard would also take us sightseeing to see places and wonders around placentia. If we had the opportunity, we would 100% stay there again. Their kindness, generosity and understanding were boundless.

During my brief stay at the hostel, extending slightly beyond a week, I found the workload to be comfortably paced and easily manageable, primarily revolving around reception duties. This allowed ample leisure time for organizing excursions and engaging in various activities throughout the day. Situated centrally, the hostel provides convenient access to all essential amenities. The managers Coni and Lisa, conduct themselves with utmost courtesy, fostering an immediate sense of belonging. Likewise, the regular staff are very jovial and affable. Despite my short stay of just a week, bidding farewell felt similar to departing after an extended stay of a month or more.

It's no coincidence that this family has received so much excellent feedback from Workawayers. My experience with Veerle and Henk was top-notch, especially considering my previous experience on farms, which made communication about tasks and what needed to be done very smooth. I really appreciated the fact that they trust you in what you're doing and give you autonomy. The work hours are flexible, but at the same time, certain time slots should be respected, which is totally normal as the horses need to be fed on time and cleaning the paddocks is convenient at that time. Veerle and Henk are very professional and know what's best for their farm. It was an opportunity for me to learn from their expertise. Veerle and Henk are true leaders with high social intelligence; you really feel like you're part of the family, with everyone pitching in to help. For example, Henk gladly lends a hand in cleaning the paddocks when he has time, and Veerle does the same. On top of that, they include you in their outdoor dining routines, allowing you to explore some Belgian traditions. Thanks to Veerle, Henk, and the rest of the family for these moments. I'm sure our paths will cross again. Until then, take care and I wish you all the success you deserve. OG

We had a great time with Edoardo. He helped us a lot with the preparation of a big event on our land. He was interested and ambitious concerning the accomplishment of all tasks he was assigned. Besides that he is a great cook and he touched us with his open hearty warm presence and his magical singing and music. We look forward to see him again one day at our place.

I’ve struggled to write this review for such a long time as to reduce this incredible experience to words is no easy feat. Juliet was my first Workaway experience and I couldn’t have asked for better. She was responsive to messages even though she’s constantly on the move. Juliet is such a calming presence and such a joy to be around. She puts a lot of trust in us as volunteers to get recurring jobs done but is also around to provide instructions or information on specific tasks. And if not around she’s only ever a voice message away. I enjoyed having the balance of doing general repairs/ manual labour jobs around the farm as well as working with the horses. There’s something for everyone to do even if you’re not horse savvy. Speaking of horses, what a joy! I learnt so much about how to care for these beautiful animals. Building a connection with these horses and getting to see them every work day has been on of my highlights (Shout out to Baby Finn, and Reuben). Juliet is truly a mother at heart, and took care of us as if we were one of her own. She has raised two incredible young men who I had the absolute pleasure of meeting. I always looked forward to seeing Oscar, and I’m excited to keep in touch and see where his life is going to take him! Obviously it’s unfair to review a place on the volunteers there at the time, but I think I lucked out with my group. We all became really close and would enjoy spending time in the kitchen cooking, laughing, playing card games, eating, and watching movies on someone’s laptop. I still keep in touch daily with some of the volunteers I made there and would absolutely consider them friends. It’s a time I wish could’ve lasted forever. Juliet, from the bottom of my heart, I can’t thank you enough for facilitating this experience for me. I would’ve never thought that across all my travels, your little slice of Ireland would be the highlight. Until we meet again, Nathan

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mrs.Sushila's house, and I must say, it was an experience worth raving about. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with open arms and genuine warmth, making me feel like an old friend rather than a mere guest. Mrs.Sushila is smart, respectful, knowledgeable, caring and welcoming. You will definitely learn many things from her. First and foremost, the hospitality extended by Mrs.Sushila was unparalleled. Her kindness and generosity knew no bounds, as she went above and beyond to ensure my comfort throughout my stay. Whether it was providing helpful tips about the local area, whipping up delicious homemade meals, or simply engaging in delightful conversations. The accommodation itself was nothing short of fantastic. The house was impeccably clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated, creating a serene and inviting atmosphere that instantly put me at ease. My room was a haven of comfort, equipped with all the amenities I could possibly need for a relaxing stay. Moreover, Mrs.Sushila went out of her way to ensure that I had everything I needed to make the most of my time in their city. Allowing me to explore with confidence and make the most of my visit. In conclusion, my stay with Mrs.Sushila was nothing short of exceptional. Her unparalleled hospitality, cozy accommodations, and delicious meals made for an unforgettable experience that I will cherish for years to come. If you're looking for a home away from home, I highly recommend staying with Mrs.Sushila. You won't be disappointed!

The three months I stayed at Tamaras lovely place, in this interesting neighbourhood, were really life-changing for me. Not only because of all the different things I learned, like candle making, making wax paper wraps, how to rip sheets perfectly, or painting the stairs etc., but also just because of the good time we had, chatting in the morning before breakfast, or in the evenings after the movie nights, sometimes chatting about serious topics regarding your own life, or very silly things, like musical chairs in different languages. So far I haven't met anyone who is more accommodating than Tamara, whilst also being as busy as her, working for her non-profit organisation late into the night before going to bed. (I am actually not that sure if she even goes to bed, when she is also the first one to get up in the morning making her perfect scones for everyone to enjoy. (I don't know how she does it, but I probably don't want to know XD.)) During the day you can pretty much organise your time yourself and there is no pressure to get things done. Somedays there is more to do than on others, but the excitement for sure never ends, there are always new ideas how to do things differently and your ideas and research are always welcome. It is very important to her that you also take some time of go and explore St John's and the surrounding, which to be honest I have barely done, because I was very happy to just spend some time with JJ, "the best white dog in the house" (he doesn't quite make "the best white dog in the street" yet) I can only recommend staying at Tamaras even if it isn't perfect scones and sunshine everyday (most of the times just lacking the sunshine), it for sure was the best Workaway-experience I ever had. Thank you so much Tamara.

We loved hosting Laura! She was such a delight, self-sufficient, easy to talk to, did great with our daughter (not always an easy task), and a hard worker. She helped us get many of our indoor and outdoor projects done, and even cooked us a delicious dinner YUM! We'd welcome her back anytime <3

Wow, my heart is still so full because of this beautiful experience I had at the School! Being part of Sopharas Project meant so much to me! I ended up staying one month in the school and it was so beautiful to experience not only the school but the whole village life. Everyone in the village was so welcoming and shared a lot about the Khmer culture. The children in the school are absolutely amazing and stole my heart. They are so motivated to learn and they have so much love to share! All the teachers are super welcoming and open for new ideas! You absolutely don't need any experiences as a teacher but if you bring some skills they are happy to learn from you. Another highlight was of course Dalins hospitality, her food is just a dream. I'm missing her loving, caring soul a lot! Also, I feel so much gratitude for Tin and how much he always tried to make us feel welcome! Overall, I can just say, if you are planing to visit Cambodia, staying at the School is something you should definitely try! It's going to give you an opportunity to really experience the Khmer culture, to have a good time with all the lovely people of the village but also heaps of other volunteers there and to just give something back to this beautiful country! You will receive so much in exchange!

Marcie is kind, respectful, creative and hardworking. I had a great time at her place. She made me feel like a member of her family and she was very patient to teach me gardening skills. It didn’t matter if she was tired after a busy day of work or not, she always asked me how was my day and gave me suggestions to explore Atlanta. Her versatile skills are amazing and her stories about her life experiences are incredible. She is an example of modern mother, who is always there for her kids, but she is still have time for new hobbies. The tasks were simple and I had a lot of free time to do whatever I wanted. I highly recommend Workawayers this experience in Georgia!

We stayed with Fred and his family for around 3 weeks, and it was seriously a life-changing experience. We have been volunteering with different organizations around the world for many years, and I don't hesitate to say that foundation is doing truly inspirational and important work. It was amazing to see real-time change and impact in only the short time we spent there. We mostly helped Fred with his website, but were also able to help with the school sponsorship program, writing proposals, and even visiting different cases around Nairobi. Fred took us to visit different organizations, a medical camp, to his friend's bar, and even to his mother-in-law's house for Easter where we had delicious home-made pizza! We were even able to take part in a 3 day workshop on conflict resolution, for free! We were served delicious food throughout our stay (we will miss Mama Fred's chai!) and felt completely welcome in the family. We had a comfortable room and good internet. Thank you so much Fred, Christine, Mama Fred, Jennifer, Paul, and everyone else that made our time at the Foundation so amazing! We will miss you dearly, and hope to visit you again soon. The work you're doing is amazing, never give up and we will always be here to support you! Much love, Sabrina and Harsh
