    Description

Located just a 10-minute walk from the ancient town in Siwa Oasis, secluded from the buzzing noise from the downtown, this is an Newley built camping in the middle of the palm tree forest embracing the simple life of Siwa.

The simple life revolves around nature, local resources including the building materials: local mud, Kersheef (Natural Salty Rocks) and palm tree trunks.
Embracing the coziness of living in nature under the open sky.

We offer our volunteers free accommodation, access to the kitchen so that they can cook their own meals.
Volunteers will have their own room during the stay with shared bathrooms.
Maximum 3 volunteers can stay at the same time, you might have to share room with others depending on how many workawayers we have at the time.

Our teamwork of 3 local Egyptian nice and friendly, helpful persons will help you with anything, Thay working for 8 hours during the day in shifts or together as work need

You will enjoy a wonderful experience, a safe environment and lots of open space for creativity to grow, meet with the local people and learn about Siwi culture, learn eco construction while helping with natural or recycled materials and hopefully learn or teach somebody somethings new.

Volunteers who qualify are those who love what they do and do what they love, people who would like to add their touch to the place and are easy going, artistic, energetic fun-loving people.

You will be given a brief orientation about what can be done in the camp as well as in the amazing oasis of Siwa, then you will have free reins to develop your project while at the same time helping out whenever it's needed.

Usually, the stay is 7 to 15 days, however sometimes we offer longer-term assignments with free accommodation.

  • Help

    Help

The camp has a lot of potential, but we need hands on people to make our vision come true.
If you are a versatile person is a plus, since we have a big variety of things to do around, like:
    -Building
We build everything ourselves, and could use some help with that. We use mainly local resources like: mud, Kersheef (Natural Salty Rocks) and palm tree trunks & leafs. So if you have experience/interest with building with natural resources and Up-cycling that would be great!
    -Farming
We are aiming to be a self sustained camp, with our own animal farm with goats, donkeys, chicken, and we’ll need loving & patient people to take care of our animals and help with farming.
    -Gardening
If you have green fingers we could also need some help with landscaping, gardening around our camp and our vegetables garden.
Help us grow our compost and water the plant’s in the garden.
    -Art/ Decorating
Our camp is a blank canvas!
Explore your creativity and advance your DIY skills making decorations for the camp, painting murals, creating hang-out spots, anything that would make our camp even more beautiful and artsy is welcome.
    -Hosting
As our on the camp ground staff you will be dealing with guest relations and acting as an intermediate between staff and guest.
Generally keeping the communal camping ground tidy, sometimes setting the mood of the camp, by making a bonfire, putting some music on, or things like that.
    -Workshop
We would love to host workshops at our camp. Share your skills and knowledge with the world, and help our community to grow!
    -Social media
If you have social media skills, we could use some help managing our social media account, making stories, posts, sharing the everyday life at the camp.
As you can see there’s a variety of possibilities, so we are available for discussing the details of what your tasks in the camp would be.
