Even though Lily been staying with us for a week, she helps me a lot with maintaining the campsite, cleaning and cooking at the house and cutting the bamboo trees for the construction of the bridge. She has a good personality and can mingle with other workawayers at the campsite. She also has the chance to drive a 4x4 vehicle and going offroading with my friends at the track nearby campsite. I would recommend Lily to other host!

Philipp is such a creative guy and respectful and have an open mind about all sorts of things. He was always ready to help us and always fun to chat with him. He was very good with kids also. We are very appreciate for that. It was such a blessed to having him around. We highly recommend him to any and all potential hosts . Hello there, Where to begin? This is a magical place. Amidst the ambiance of the tropical forest, the wooden houses on the hillside, and the monkeys that wake you up in the morning 😁. Every person in the community is caring; you'll love their hospitality! 🫶🩷 We'll try to be as precise as possible in our feedback to best assist future volunteers. Key points to remember: *The Community*: You'll be immersed with a friendly community, including the staff and teachers (yes, there are schools in the trees ❤️). There aren't strict rules, but I recommend trying to eat with everyone for more sharing and, above all, respecting the place 🙏 😁. For dinner, the cuisine depends on the guests present; if dinner needs preparation, don't hesitate to help the chefs 😁. Also, feel free to ask for help or advice on the WhatsApp group or in person; they are truly accessible and caring. *The Location*: You'll be in the heart of the rainforest, so conditions are challenging. There's a lot of humidity, clothes are slow to dry, so bring breathable clothing. The rooms are situated on the hillside, and you'll be assigned a room based on the guests; you may change rooms several times during your stay (know that the staff tries their best not to move you too often 😘). *The Work*: Work is really at your pace (5 hours/day) and depends on your personal abilities. Jeremy worked with John on construction, organization, and the smooth running of the working place (building shelves, sorting, and organizing!). Thanks to them for their trust and the freedom of action we had. Tiffany took care of organizing and tidying up the storage area, meals, and cleaning. Helping at the café was also super fun, and the team is truly amazing; you'll adore them 😁. We had the opportunity to meet the students, talk about our country, exchange with them, and play together. Overall, no matter your skills, there will always be something for you to do based on your abilities. *Conclusion*: Help this community grow and give them new horizons, invest yourself as much as they do, and don't be afraid to propose new projects. Bruno stayed with us for the month of April. He was keen, ever-present, kind and helpful. He was great with the animals and steadfast and thourough with tasks given. His engineering background was appreciated with problem solving. He made the most of his time here on the north island and truly enjoyed the peace and quiet.

We loved having Yasmine stay with us, she was a wonderful addition to our team and we were sad to say goodbye! Thanks for all your care and attention during your time here, Yasmine.

what an incredible experience. I volunteered in Dec 2023 at the school. The students we're amazing and so eager to learn and interact. The teaching team was so friendly and supportive. My host was kind and shared knowledge about the different cultures and and traditions in the community of Bokonbaevo. I hope to come back again in the future. I had a wonderful time at Tamalyn's beautiful and cozy house. We had many opportunities to share our experiences about the countries we have already visited during these couples of weeks together. She always invited me to explore many interesting places in New Orleans, such as musical festivals, museums, parks, restaurants, bars and dancing classes as well. She was patient to teach me gardening skills, which I appreciated a lot. I had plenty of free time to take my French course while I stayed at her place. I highly recommend Workawayers this experience!

It's already been two weeks since I left this wonderful place. Thanks to Marie and Cristiano, who are exceptional hosts with big hearts. It was truly a magnificent experience; I was very well received, and the local people are extremely kind (a little nod to Reynaldo). The tasks are varied and not complicated! In any case, I will never forget my time in Delfim Moreira.

I recently hosted Mylene and Jacques. They were an absolute pleasure to host and perfect Workawayers. Interesting, interested, very polite, fun, intelligent, inspirational and all around great company. Interesting conversations were had over a cup of tea or a glass of red! No task was too big or to small and I certainly didn't need to be by their side for any of the jobs they completed for me. I'm sad to see them leave, but they are on a one year sabatical and are off to a few more countries. Some other lucky workaway hosts might get to meet them soon. Have fun and good luck you two and I hope our paths cross again sometime soon x

Mayra and Pietro have been an amazing company for us. Taking care of artwork, organization, watering the reforestation project and and giving us support gathering at the bar on special days, even Pietro got to play and show his skills with drums with local musicians. They also took Wilson to the beach many times. They were very helpfull and proactive in artwork. They respect the house rules and i could reccomend them anytime always. 100% happy with them.

John and Sandy are awesome people, very nice and communicative, that made us feel really comfortable and at home. We stayed in their cabins on top of their property in a lovely environment, surrounded by nature and the songs of birds. The tasks we did were really interesting and pretty fun to do, from setting up a gravity water system, planting trees, spraying and taking care of the gardens and the lovely sheep. Our car wouldn't reach the cabins because of the steep gravel road, but they let us use their Polaris so we could move around the property easily. They left us the keys and trusted us to organise our time around the tasks needed to be done. Those were really well explained, John and Sandy communicating with us when needed, very clear and to the point. In conclusion, it was an amazing experience in a unique place that was the cherry on top of the cake that was our New Zealand experience!

Our travels ended promptly due to the covid pandemic in 2020. Therefore, our feedback comes late (because we just started travelling again and re-activated our profile), but from heart. We fully recommend staying with Nicola, Patch and the girls and would like to thank them again, that we can even look back after years to a wonderful Workaway with this awesome family. We stayed with them for 4 weeks and felt that they totally integrated us into their family. Our room was awesome and we still dream about this beautiful farm house which indeed looks like a cozy seaside mediterranean house situated on a hill overlooking the surrounding hills and even seeing the ocean from far. Food was provided all day and dinner was cooked in the evening. We really enjoyed the fresh garden vegetables and the variety of food. As already mentioned we really felt integrated into the family. We took part in birthday parties, went with them to their beach house, went surfing with the girls, to Gisborne for grocery shopping and to a fishing event and on their boat. Their farm is huge and we found it awesome to cruise around with their quad, play with the sheep dogs or riding a horse. Our main task in the beginning was cutting the plants along the pathway. Benji then designed, built and painted a wooden cover for the air condition. Jeannine built a new pathway (which included digging and pathing itself) and painted some walls. We also cleaned windows and floors. We usually worked during the mornings with a break and finished work during midday. We never felt that it was too much work. Thank you for this awesome experience. We always kept NZ in our heart. PS: We often think about Larry and how he is. And... if Storm made it to a proud sheep dog.

This is just an amazing & idyllic place, created with a lot of love and care. The whole resort is eco-friendly and offers modern accommodations in a forest setting, which makes the work day just nicer to work in such an environment. The tasks are mostly doing housekeeping but we also had the opportunity to work outside and assist the terrain-team with different things. You can cuddle with the goats, enjoy the spa after your work and even spend a night in a cabin for free when not booked, it was just an unique experience. The whole team was just nice and lovely, even when the main language is french everybody can speak English and tries to include you and makes you feel welcome. The woofhouse is big with a huge outdoor area, we had pleeenty of food and could make our own grocery list every week with wishes. We had wonderful company from the other volunteers and will miss them dearly - thanks to our woof family! Special thanks to Sarah, Paul, Julie, Peter, Michel for creating a welcoming atmosphere and that we had so much fun and felt always comfortable.

My stay at Samuel house was amazing! we shared 2 mexicans dinner, one made it by me and he and his boyfriend made other one! Samuel is a very kind and nice person who likes to help everyone, including animals and plants. You can practice your english and french with him. I truly recommend this workaway!

Nunca he planeado para ir a este parte de Colombia, pero estoy muy agradecida que la vida me traje a la finca de Clem y Ricaurte. La finca es muy tranquila y he aprendido mucho de Clem, Ricaurte, y Tío. Especialmente he aprendido sobre el proceso del café y cuánto trabajo es necesario. Nunca puedo beber el café sin mucha gratitud después de esa experiencia! Me encanta aprender de cocinar con Clem, nuestros caminos a la otra finca para huevos y leche, escuchando la música de Ricaurte y sus amigos muy talentosos, y hablando sobre la vida con Tío con un té. Si quieres vivir en un lugar muy tranquilo donde puedes aprender más sobre la permaculture, definitivamente recomendar este workaway para ti. Eso fue una experiencia que cambió mi vida. Gracias por todo Clem y Ricaurte! Ojalá que nuestros caminos en la vida cruzarán en la futura. (Mi español es muy básico pero aprendí mucho en esta experiencia. Lo siento para los errores :))

We had a fantastic time at Monte Alvao with Iara and Johan. Their place is incredibly beautiful and is a bit remote, which gave us a perfect way to relax. The work was really easy, we were required to work 4 hours a day and they usually gave us tasks for working in the garden or helping with the guests. We slept in a tent with a comfortable mattress on a nice campsite with hot water to shower, which was great. During our free time we were able to go rock climbing which was extremely fun. Besides that, we had to make our own food, but all the facilities were provided. Iara even invited us to family parties and gatherings, which made our stay even more memorable. We can say that we really were given a Brazilian experience. Thank you Iara and Johan for your hospitality!

I had a great month volunteering at this place. The location of the hostel is incredible, and you are always surrounded by stunning views and amazingly diverse wildlife. The working hours are structured really well, and give you plenty of time to explore everything the jungle and the surrounding areas have to offer. The staff and other volunteers were so friendly, making everyone feel at home as soon they arrived. I feel so lucky to have been able to stay for a month and experience such a remote part of Panama - thank you Andrew and the rest of the team for the opportunity! Hope to see you guys again one day soon!

Will is one of the best workawayers we've ever had stay with us. He's fun, capable, interesting and willing to give anything a go. My kids adore him, and wish he could stay for ever! He's very good at problem solving, doing hard physical work without even hesitating, and gets jobs done to a very high standard. Will is definitely someone to say yes to if he enquires about staying with you :-)

Clara and Caroline were great! They helped me with all kinds of jobs and were capable enough to house sit for me while I went away for a week of much needed family time. Clara is an excellent rider - with a quiet and gentle seat, but very clear in how she communicates to the horses - it was a pleasure to watch her ride. Caroline was someone who loved detail but can then follow it perfectly when given the info she needed. Altogether the two were wonderful and I'm really grateful that they chose to come and stay at our place.
