I would like to express our sincere gratitude for a month's stay with Lalla, Isa, Luciano and Alberto. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with friendliness and hospitality, who did everything they could to make us feel at home. The location is simply perfect, close to the beach, in a private village with beautiful houses and gardens, the accommodation has everything necessary for everyday life, making the stay comfortable and practical. Work is also very easy, such as gardening for men and domestic or other more creative tasks for women. I highly recommend these hosts. I will definitely be back in future opportunities!

Eva is a lovely creature that always smiles and help 🙏 hosting her made me feel light and in a good mood, because of her infinite kindness and desire to use hands for some works. She helped in every task, giving a big hand in maintenance and plastering the compost toilet. She is independent, respectful and never tired, always the first person waking up in the morning and the last going to sleep! Hope to see you again! Auf wiedersehen!

A lovely work away. Pleasure to have around. Kids loved her and she was a good role model. Helped with our basic requests and made the most of her trip. Def welcome back.

I had two great weeks with Annabelle and Phaon. I enjoyed to be with them on the property and also enjoyed the nice accumutation the offered. Annabelle and Phaon are both super chefs so all the dinners they invited me over were just delicious. I am a big fan of their pizza. Also "work life balance" was excellent. So if you want to make a workaway at some nice hosts in a not too busy area you are right here.

Hosting Sofia made me feel happy and lucky! She Is really kind, always smiling and willing to help and learn, and she works till she faints for weakness 😁 She does everything and she is and incredible fast learner. Nice cooker also! We did grafts on citrus plants and after she started making spoons out of their prunings! She teach to me and the volunteers how to carve wood and sharpen the tools needed for that. We worked with clay and straw to plaster the compost toilet, and after few days I have delegated all this work to her, leading the other volunteers. I felt I have been supported in everything at anytime, thanks a lot 🙏 Sofia is a person to put all your trust on, by being so calm and wise We'll meet again for sure, I know it! Buon viaggio!

I couldn't have asked for better cat caretakers than Daniela and her friend Morgan. They're both independent, easygoing and LOVE cats, so I knew I had nothing to worry about during the two weeks I was out of the country during their month on my land. They handled life on the land brilliantly, even dealing with a power outage that never got fixed during their stay (I had backup power that worked fine). I really appreciated how much they loved just living here, including the hike up and down the hill every day. I'm always so grateful when people who come to help also end up loving it! Thank you, Daniela and Morgan!

I (Joe) had an amazing time staying with Kassim and his family and working with the staff. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, and it was a pleasure getting to know everyone. And great fun! Great Lugandan teachers too ;) The place is really stunning, and I had loads of time to explore and chill out. The project is really well organised and they are doing great work there. I would really recommend coming here, and wish I could have stayed longer. Kassim, Bridger and the rest of the family took great care of me. Thanks again Kassim, weebale.

Our time on this farm was absolute great and it was the perfect ending of our Canada journey. Judy and Ron are warm and welcoming and we felt very comfortable with them. We learned a lot about the vineyard, wine and cooking and had delicious dinner and of course with well chosen wine from Ron. He also took us to a wine tasting, which we never had done before and it was a great experience. The working hours were very flexible and we had the possibility to take his car to tour the Island. We also got to spend one week at their house in Vancouver and were able to explore the city. Amanda knows a lot about the Island and great places to visit and took us on a beautiful walk. They invited us to a lot of places and we were able to pick out our own food for breakfast and lunch. We really liked the way they communicated and treated us. We are very grateful for this wonderful time and made some great memories there and we like to think back to the time. We would highly recommend visiting them and we hope to see them again in the future!

My month in Iceland was amazing thanks to Halla, her sweet daughter and all the animals. I felt as a part of the family and really enjoied living in her farm, where every day is fun and never boring. From day 1 she was super kind and welcome to me. The work is enjoiable and not hard and she invents and adapts projects based on each workawayers abilities. I learned so much from her, she inspired me especially with her force of will and strength, while being one of the kindest and genuine persons I have met. Thank you for everything, I miss you and hope to meet you all again soon (and maybe go skiing together again)! <3

I stayed with Levi's lovely family for 3 weeks and I don't have any complaints. Levi is a caring and fun host, always made sure that I had everything I need and that I was doing well. They even invited me to their family's day trip to Slovenia which was a lot of fun, had a chance to tried Bled's famous cream cake. I had a bike to explore the area, it's near a big lake with many nice waterfalls. Work was mainly building IKEA furniture and also helping to clean some airbnb flats. Après de rester chez Vonlanthen trois semaines, je les remercie pour leur attitude attent et accueillante. Le temps était très changeant, on a eu la neige en avril! Et je n'ai pas travaillé dehors plusieurs jours pour la pluie, par contre j'ai fait le ménage et aidé dans la cuisine. J'ai aussi été en contact avec des personnes que ne sont pas familiale mais ils sont parts de la vie dans cette ferme. Mon séjour a été juste comme c'est décrit sur le profil mais ce n'est pas facile expresser comme c'est agreable la cohabitancion et delicious la nourriture. Je vous remercie parce que j'ai trouve la paix que j'ai recherchée, partagé les different habitudes culturelles et appris beaucoup le français.

It was a great experience I spent during 3 months there with Toni and his team. Fantastic people working around there and the place... very very nice. I would like to come back the next year. Heider, the cooker is a great person. It is very easy work with him and enjoy the job. Marc and Martí, the boys who are in charge of the dogs, are very nice also. Work with them, learn from then about the dogs, the cares, the musher job.... also with Toni, who is de boss and is some time around there. Easily communication and easy to find a good way to work in your taks. The most I enjoyed was the job around the dogs. Was an amazing experience learning about their behavior as a pack, how to take care of them, learning to handle the snow sled.... wow, incredible. The are where the hostel is situated is a very quite area, and very rural. Small villages and the city is about 40 minutes from there, so is good if you go with a car and you can move around the natural areas and mountains there are around, Many places to visit. We didn't have much snow, but the dogs are situated in a nordic ski resort and you can practice the sport and there is also another ski resort very near (alpine skii) So, if you get bored is because yo want ;) Come and enjoy the experience, because it's worht it. During my stay I met three volunteers, all of them very good people and eager to work and add to the project. Thanks for the great time and for the opportunity to learn many things. I hope come back the next winter!!

A home-like organic farm experience. All the volunteers shared a villa, which encouraged bonding and was frequently the scene of family dinners, homebaked cookies, and lots and lots of conversation. I stayed two weeks and really enjoyed the experience, from tending animals in the mornings&evenings to planting/weeding/manuring the fields on the farm. The work was never too hard or physically exhausting, and doing it with other volunteers only made it more fun. Our host Burak also provides very clear and detailed instructions once the request is accepted. Recommend, and wish this place a prosperous future ahead!

An absolutely splendid Workaway! From the start, Karin was one of those people that made you stop wondering if things could get done. Whatever was the task, we could trust Karin: COOKIES, cakes, garden stuff. All bests in your adventures Karin; wee loved having you with us.

Meine Frau und ich waren im Winter zwei Wochen auf dem Hof und haben beim Renovieren des Hauses geholfen. Die Hosts waren sehr, sehr freundlich, haben uns bestens versorgt und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Kommunikation war perfekt und wir haben für die Zeit unseres Aufenthalts auch ein Auto bekommen. In unserer freien Zeit waren wir Ski laufen oder wandern, z.B. im Skuleskogens Nationalpark. Am Ende der zwei Wochen konnten wir noch drei Tage im Livsstilsmedicinskt Center sein, wo unsere Hosts wohnen und dort die Sauna und das Schwimmbad nutzen.

Mi estadía en la finca fue mi primer workaway. Me quedé dos meses en las hermosas tierras de Cartagena, el sitio es increíble, tiene un paisaje que te deja cada vez sin palabras, hecho para personas a las que les gusta desconectar un poco del mundo más "urbano". He aprendido muchísimas cosas y de todo un poco y tengo que agradecer todas las personas con las que estuve trabajando por haberme dado esta oportunidad. Ha sido una experiencia con altos y bajos, osea real, que refleja exactamente las cargas y las dificultades que se pueden tener trabajando en un sitio tan grande, que ofrece tantas oportunidades y servicios. Es un proyecto hermoso que acoge gente de todos lados, con ganas de relajarse, descansar y conocer. Estoy muy contenta porque también la experiencia con mis compañeros workawayers ha sido especial, me encantó conocer cada uno de ellos. Muchas gracias a todos, espero que el proyecto siga adelante y cada vez mejor! Ad maiora :)

It was wonderful to have Timo at the hostel. He helped with several things such as painting, general maintenance, reception, and also shared his baking abilities with us. His customer service skills are outstanding! Any place would be lucky to have Timo as a volunteer :)

What a nice place! When I came into the place the first time, I was warmly welcomed and felt at home! this is definitely a place with a lot of energy and a lot of possibilities for different works and projects. I got to work on some carpentry projects and while I do have some experience with that, I am far from being professional, but I was trusted with all the tasks from the beginning. Additionally, the work is not the only good thing here. I've got to have some of the most interesting conversations of my entire life here, and dont get me started on nature here, words cannot do justice to its beauty. I can only recommend coming here to everyone who s willing to get out of their comfort zone, learn new skills, meet interesting people and spend time in nature.

Estar en este lugar fue increíble, es un lugar muy mágico lleno de vida por todas partes, Perico es muy amable y atento a las necesidades de cada persona, además de hacer un trabajo admirable en pro de la conservación. Siempre habrá algo que hacer allí, diferentes tareas que ayudarán a sostener el lugar, se respetan las 5 horas diarias de ayuda y además de una cómoda habitación, se obtiene algo de ayuda para comprar alimentación y poder cocinar. Aprendí mucho en las dos semanas que he estado allí, me llevo en mi corazón lo compartido y a mi amigo Peri, muchas gracias 🫶🏻✨💕🌱🧚🏻👩🏼‍🌾🧝🏻‍♀️🧙🏻‍♀️

We had an excellent experience with Lukas and highly recommend him to others. He was with us for a month at Loustalot and proved himself to be a diligent and hard worker, always willing, and open to trying new things. He has an intelligent and careful approach and is happy to check if he is not sure about something, but has plenty of initiative and common sense. He turned his hand to mowing, pruning and weeding; he waged a mighty battle against the invading brambles here at Loustalot. His experience in preparing guest accommodation was obvious when it came to making up beds, and he is great at cleaning anything from ceilings to cars! Lukas is a delight to have around, communicates skillfully and is always interested in others. A kind and open-minded person, he is welcome back any time.
