My stay with Leonardo and Mariana was a wonderful experience. They went out of their way to make me feel at home and comfortable, and the setting is absolutely beautiful. Mariana made sure to be sensitive to any dietary issues I had and I enjoyed the delicious healthy meals. It was the perfect opportunity to practice and improve my Portuguese. I loved our conversations. Leonardo set up an opportunity for me to meet a bobbin lace maker and learn from her, which was an unexpected bonus. I really enjoyed building my relationship with Cora and Mateo, and they were so much fun to spend time with. They have great imaginations and lots of ideas and knowledge from all their family activities and exposure to books. I truly felt included as part of the family and loved accompanying them when they invited me along for extra weekend activities, like hikes and camping, and beaches and waterfalls. I really felt like I met kindred spirits, and I hope we will be able to continue our friendship.

My time with Cam and Jeanne was delightful. It was my first workaway and I didn't know what to expect, but they are truly the most welcoming hosts and made my stay so easy and enjoyable. The work involved weeding, landscaping, organizing, and other various tasks, and the accomodation was prime. You won't believe the view. And the food... Be prepared for healthy comfort food and amazing baked goods. There is also an ice cream stand right by the house with the best ice cream you'll ever have. Cam and Jeanne are caring, generous, and extremely interesting people. I really enjoyed listening to their crazy stories. It's like they both lived several lives. We played games, enjoyed listening to music together, stargazed from the hot tub... I don't know how I landed in such a perfect place for my 1st workaway experience. If you enjoy good views, great conversations, good food, and the quietness of an island without shops, this place is for you. Cam and Jeanne, thanks again for welcoming me, I am forever grateful and can't wait to come back for a visit!

My experience in the castle and with Pete´s family and friends was amazing, I learned a lot bc it was my first WA, I Stayed almost 2 weeks, and I loved the campaign and all the nature around, a lot of things to do in the outdoor, I loved to walk around when the hours were over, and I appreciated the confidence in me and the help with all the activities, especially with the via ferrata . I felt nostalgic at the moment to leave St. Girons. The food was so delicious, thanks to Pete, I got a lot of new recipes and I hope your project will be finished very soon it is a beautiful property. Merci !!! P.S. "one of my best workaways ever" i really enjoyed the stay at Heidi's and Roman's. I loved to work with here and felt welcome since day one. We always had things to laugh about. The view into the sea from my accommodation was incredible beautiful. Can't wait to see you again

It has definitely been a good experience. For four days I had a wonderful time with Damian and Jenny, plus many dogs and cats. They speak mainly French, which would be ideal for native French speakers and learners. I cannot speak English very much, but they listened and communicated with me so warmly. We talked about the job of a breeder, about France and Japan, etc. and I gained a lot of new knowledge. Above all, the dog and the cat were very cute and kept me smitten throughout my stay. I thank them for providing me with such a wonderful time. Information for future workawayers is written below. Work during my stay: Engaging with animals. →You should bring comfortable clothes and shoes. If, like me, being involved in breeder work is new to you, you may want to bring a face mask and sticky carpet cleaner. Food culture exchange →I served Japanese food. Other household chores →Cleaning, washing dishes, etc. Other activities: Exploring Santarém. →They showed me around the city on a drive. Also went to the market on Sundays. Cycling in the neighborhood →They lent me bicycles. Environment: The bedrooms, bathrooms and toilets were completely isolated and very comfortable, and the Wi-Fi worked fine. They also provide healthy and tasty meals.

I am super happy that Jonathan joined, he is adult, fantastic cooking skills, I learned how to make the best majoinaise. He is also hard working and we had a really good time! I hope that we meet again one day!

I had the best time here together with the other volunteers. It felt like a home away from home and I was very sad to leave. The work is really chill and the hostel seems to attract such cool people. Javier is so so kind, he even went to the hospital with me in the first days because I was sick. Xela is such a nice town with lots of things to do. 10/10 would recommend. Xela has a special place in my heart. :)

Laura has been for about two month with us and I can recommend her highly to all other hosts. We had a great time together. She helped us in a period (springtime) when there was so many things to do and I could ask her everything. She tried hard also the thing what she never done and seemed a bit difficult at the beginning. But at the end she was always able to the work I asked her. She was always on time and with all thing uncomplicated. Beside this we enjoyed a lot the time we spend with her after work, when we played games or made party...And last but not least, she is great cook !! Thanks again Laura, wish you all the best and hope to see you again one time in future!!

It was a pleasure to host Martina who is a willing and kind girl. She has always been helpful and attentive with a very nice and discreet attitude.

Cyrus is an amazing guy, with a very good vibe and attitude towards life, he learned the job very quickly and did it very well, he handles customer service in a very agile way and is very kind and good hearted. He made a great friendship with the whole team and we will miss him a lot, don't miss the opportunity to have Cyrus in your team, he will fill the spaces with good energy and a lot of love. We will miss you.

It was my first workaway experience and david and Tala made it a unique experience. I felt very comfortable and I had a lot of freedom to decide what I wanted to do. I learned a lot of new things during this time. Tala and David were open and allowed me to share their lives and interests. I had my own room, the food was great and the work wasn't too much. If you want to experience the outdoors in Canada, this is the place for you. I can highly recommend these two hosts.

It doesn’t happen every day to have an ambassador from Taiwan - land of the most delicious pineapples. We have a splendid time together with Luhsin, an absolute wizard at graphic design by the way. A great workout for Jenny’s Mandarin and an unforgettable playmate for Agnese. Thank you Luhsin, see you next time for hotpot in Taiwan.

I stayed at Christelles for nearly a month. I went to France initially to improve my French however I had a much more fulfilling experience than I anticipated. As well as improving my French, I found the jobs enjoyable at the farm and met a wide range of people. I would highly recommend this workaway for those who prefer to work outside and have experience with machines or manual labor. Similarly, for those who wish to improve their language skills this would be a great opportunity. I appreciate my time at Christelle's and would highly recommend this workaway to people who are hard working, are physically fit and like working with machine/outdoors.

Emma has been absolutely fantastic, speaking English, Spanish and German has been amazing. She has wonderful people skills, super helpful and always punctual. Very reliable and hardworking. I have really enjoyed Having Emma with us and we will be sad to see her go, wishing you the best on your travels!

Renan stay around 3 weeks with us. He helped me to convert the old mattress to cusion so we don't need to throw away. Reuse concept. He also help to sand the new balcony and painting. He follow our kayaking tour and take some nice pictures for guests. He is simple and minimalist. Easy to communicate and good manner always. Respect people and calm person.

Our stay at the ranch was one of our best experiences volunteering through Workaway. I hesitate to call it a volunteering experience, because it was so much more. Marcos and Ari welcomed us into their family, we learned how to hand make Chagalapoli wine and cacao, and had free time to enjoy the beautiful paradise surrounding the ranch. The food we got from the kitchen was truly incredible and cooked with love everyday. If you're considering this, do it! The setting is rustic and basic, but you don't need much when you're surrounded by the beautiful river and lake and all the animals that inhabit the area. It is truly a hidden gem and by the time we were leaving, we didn't want to. And on top of everything, the work they're doing here is vital to saving the environment, they are paving the way to restore the surrounding forests and push for more sustainable living. Truly incredible!!

Nathan stay 4 weeks at the floating house, he is very sincere to his work for our floating you. We have good discussion and re-do the website and booking system. He help me.a lot and some advice from his professional background. He is a traveller who love to explore interesting places. He wrote blogs at our website to introduce places of this small town and improve seo. Very comfortable and easy to work and stay with Nathan. Always welcome back if you travel to Malaysia again.

We Thank Robert for his friendly attitude and his mission to help wherever he could. His eagerness to help with whatever was coming up was great. We apologise if we didn't have enough to do for him. Unfortunately, Robert could only stay a week with us, instead of 4 weeks but we wish him all the best and hope he has a great time exploring Ireland. All the best from the Team
