Me and my boyfriend stayed at theirs for a whole month, it was superb. Safe, great communication, understanding people. Good facilities, versatile and flexible work. We are very grateful for this experience. All the great thought that they put into the environment was great. We appreciated all the tips and the rides they gave us. They have bikes for workawayers, which is nice. You'll want a partner to go with, since your life here will be quite independent. The area is stunning, fields and small roads. Skibbereen is a lovely town. Thank you Heidi and Des.

My boyfriend and I are incredibly grateful for our time with Myrtille, Aurelien, Marceau, and Ruben during our first workaway experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were apart of the family. Our "work" at the home felt more just like helping around the house. Marceau and Ruben are incredibly cute kids and we will miss them! We learned a lot about plant based cooking and sustainable living in our time at the home. Their home is beautiful with large windows and natural light, a pool, a yard with planted herbs, and a chicken coop with hens and fresh eggs. Despite not having access to a car (we can't drive manual) we still were able to get around, we went on hikes/runs, took a day trip to Lyon, rented e-bikes and visited a winery, walked into Beajeu town center and did a wine tasting, and visited the organic farm. Myrtille and Aurelien Again, Thank you!!! Will keep in touch & hope to visit again! You're always welcome in Philadelphia!

We had a very positive experience during our first workaway assignment when we stayed for about a week in May. Our host Leyilah is a very good communicator. She is also generous, kind, appreciative, and thoughtful. Leyilah provided us with a daily text of workaway tasks to consider. She asked us to pick jobs according to our interests and abilities. And, she reminded us that there might be items on the list that we don’t feel comfortable doing so to skip those. That wasn’t the case for us as we enjoy being outside and working with our hands. The list included things like weeding (she provided photos of the areas where to focus), sweeping debris from all around the outside of the house and stairways, digging up and pulling out thorny blackberry bushes, and general tidying up of flower beds. Bob charged up the lawn mower and cut the grass out back. The photos and explanations she texted us were very helpful. We also cleaned the bathroom assigned to us- scrubbed the shower, machine-washed the shower curtain, and cleaned up the little red house where we slept. We worked about 4-5 hours a day. Leyilah is an artist. She invited us to join her in prepping some canvases for her projects. That was a perfect task (and fun) to do when it was too hot outside. Leyilah invited us to delicious dinners with her family on workdays. We were treated to cultural exchange conversations and delightful Danish hospitality. There are two good supermarkets within walking distance and a 7-11 at the nearby train station, if you are desperate. We had access to our own kitchen which we used for breakfasts and lunches and dinners when we ate on our own. Leyilah provided us with many basic staples- coffee, tea, milk, bread, cheese, and some meats. One day she surprised us with a summer bread loaf and chocolates. Based on our experiences, we can highly recommend this workaway assignment with this very kind and generous host.

Carven and Alex are fantastic hosts with a great vision for how they want to see their projects proceed. Alex is fantastic at directing work and is frequently involved right next to you, and both himself and Carven are incredible conversationalists with great stories from incredible experiences that I encourage they write about and workawayers who stay with them to ask about. I found the accommodation (a tent) was comfortable and relaxing. Alex and Carven are both fantastic cooks, and the surrounding area is lovely. I'd say the only catch would be potentially difficult to connect to internet from the tent, though this could have been resolved since my stay, but this gave me plenty of time to catch up on reading.

Dane has been a great volunteer, whose dedication and hard work have significantly impacted our family. His kind and helpful nature, coupled with his responsibility and reliability, made him an indispensable part of our team. Dane's genuine interest in our culture was evident as he eagerly engaged with not only our family but the community here, asking insightful questions and showing a deep respect for new perspectives. Additionally, his ability to connect with children and his love for animals brought extra joy and compassion to his role. Dane's presence here has been incredibly positive, and we are grateful for the enthusiasm and energy he brought to every task. We highly recommend Dane to any future volunteer opportunity, as he is sure to be a valuable asset wherever he goes.

This Workaway was my first experience as a volunteer and will remain engraved in my memory. I stayed one month. Ralf and Julia set the bar very high! Julia made me feel at ease from the moment I arrived. Unfortunately, she had to go away for a while, and I'm sorry I didn't spend more time with her, but I hope I'll be able to come back one day to get to know her better. We kept in touch, and I knew I could always reach her if I needed anything. I learned a lot from Ralf, who quickly understood my way of working and my desire to learn. He's a great teacher and always takes the time to explain. I loved working with him and I'm happy to have contributed to the renovation of this magnificent catamaran. As for life on the boat, community life is essential, both for the volunteers and for our hosts. We shared a place and moments of life, and, just like at home, we divided the household chores between us. All this is very well described in the advert. I can only recommend this Workaway, and if I had to do it again, I'd stay longer. Thank you Julia and Ralf!

I stayed one month at the hostel and time just flew by. First to the work: it will be breakfast 1-2 times a week and housekeeping the rest, depending on how many volunteers are there. Breakfast times differed, they went from 8-12 + 1hour helping in the kitchen or with laundry in the evening. Breakfast was a lot of fun. You help setup the buffet, restock, clean the place & are there for the guests. Housekeeping was usually from 10-2 or so, whenever everything is finished. The housekeeping is pretty straightforward. In return you get accommodation, breakfast & lunch, (you can use ingredients for dinner) & can do laundry. You work 5 days a week and get two days off, but not necessarily consecutively, so you would need to ask if you had any specific wishes. Sometimes you would be asked to do extra tasks after your shift was done, which I wasn’t a big fan of but might have just been at that time or can easily be changed at least. The place: the hostel is beautiful and attracts amazing guests. The capsule you will stay in is suuuper comfortable and everything is very new and well designed. Location is great too & Kutaisi is a cute city :) The people: the staff welcomed me right from day one. Everyone was always helpful, fun to work with and made me feel right at home. I want to thank everyone, really. The team is amazing :). Later on, we were actually 5 volunteers which was also great and the others made the stay even more fun. I would definitely recommend the place. The mood, the hostel and the people made it worthwhile. I loved the entire month :) thanks for having me everyone & for all the love you have shown me.

Agnes and Daniel supposed to stay here for two weeks - well, they stayed for a month. 😁 (too short if you ask us 😊) What to say about this beautiful, hardworking and kind people? In the time they were here, they changed the place and our lives for the better. Always ready to help with everything we asked and we didn't even had to ask. They did everything - helping with dogs, with farm animals, with chores here, nothing was ever hard for them. But more importantly, besides being great WorkAwayers they are such kind and warm people that we're now proud of calling friends. All the best with your future endeavours and see you soon. ❤️

I had a wonderful time staying at Lucie’s farm-stay. She was very warm and welcoming and made me feel right at home. The kitchen was well stocked with lots of lovely food, and the meals were all delicious! Also shout out to my fellow workaway-er, Rick who made some incredible vegan Korean meals! Lucie was very generous, taking me into town to sample some of the local cuisine. I completed a variety of tasks and she trusted me to work independently. It was great to meet all the cats, though sad to say goodbye. Recommend to other workawayers who would like to sample the Tuscan countryside.

Wow, it was a crazy week! I only stayed five days on my way through the country but it was the most memorable experience. The location of the ranch is fantastic and the ranch… indescribable. I met so many great people, both the team that works there, Cemal & his family and the many customers that I got to chat with. I basically helped out wherever, most of the time keeping the place clean and helping in the kitchen. But Amir, one of the guys working with the tours, showed me around everywhere and taught me everything he knew. There wasn’t really a schedule or any clear tasks to be honest. So if you like fixed hours and very clear tasks, this might not be for you. So I helped in the morning at 7am cleaning the place and feeding the animals and mucking out their stables if necessary. Then we would make breakfast, get the horses ready, serve some customers. Amir also taught me how to be around horses (first time) and how to ride. I barely left the ranch because there was sooo much going on all day long. Time went by strangely. I learnt soooo much but I was also busy all day even though it wasn’t really difficult. Go and stop by! It’s totally worth the experience and the people you meet. I was welcomed like part of the family and everyone was very friendly and fun :) I am really happy I stopped by! Oh and Cappadoccia is truly stunning.

We stayed for almost a month at Emanuelas beautiful home. It was our first workaway experience as a family. The second we arrived we felt very welcome and at home at her place. She has a cosy home and a huge and beautiful garden where there is a lot to explore and admire. Our son especially loved the strawberries and mulberries. Our main work was in the vegetable garden and also some other small projects around the house. Emanuela gave us a feeling of confidence at let us work independently a lot. It was hard work but also rewarding as we could see a lot of progress. It was a pleasure that we could help her to realize her dream garden Almost every day Emanuela served us a homemade delicious meal with a lot of vegetables and well chosen ingredients. We had great late conversations in the kitchen while baking and we feel very grateful that we could get to know Emanuela (and of course her lovley dogs, cats and sheeps ;-)) She was also very helpful by giving us great tips for the area around to explore in our free time and we even got to explore some places together. Thank you Emanuela for this great experience and we wish you that you will achieve all of your dreams (big and small). From Fiete (sending you hugs), David and Pia

Howard is an exceptional host! We stayed with him for the month of May and made a table and playhouse out of pallet wood, plus a few little things around the garden. He is super organised so we were able to achieve and learn so much while never feeling overworked or rushed. Howard has so many interesting stories to tell, and a great sense of humour so our meals together were a pleasure. He has amazing friends close by and always invited us along to any get togethers. He generously took us on a few trips to markets, beautiful villages etc to explore which was amazing as we didn't have a car. Our room was spacious, with couch, TV and very comfortable bed. The house is beautiful and there are wonderful walks to take in the surrounding areas. Overall, a fabulous month - fantastic pallet projects, delicious food, a great balance of socialising and doing our own thing - we highly recommend!

Anita, Nano, Ari, and all the other people working there are so friendly and amazing, thank you so much for the care and cultural exchange. We felt at home, despite the short stay of 2 weeks, and we already hope to come back soon! We are a couple from Hong Kong and living in Japan, it's our first workaway experience and it turned out to be super amazing thanks to Anita! The place is very spacious and beautiful, in a quiet town in Yotala but accessible to Sucre with a micro, which is perfect for us to see a different side of the busy Bolivian cities. The cabin we stayed in was very nice and cozy. The animals are all very adorable. We are very grateful that Anita has been taking care of us and being flexible with us about working time hours, and we are happy that we are able to contribute more than the yard cleaning work like teaching about the computers, filming, and cooking a sushi lunch, etc. Ari cooks us wonderful meals every day that are definitely unforgettable too. The most valuable thing is the connection and cultural exchange we built during the stay, and we were able to practice and learn more Spanish with other non-English speakers. We learned different perspectives and gained more understanding about Bolivia. I wish you all the best, great health and happiness. Hope to meet you again and keep in touch:)

My time in Notodden was really a life experience I will always remember! It's really hard to leave this place, a small paradise with amazing people. 🥲❤️ The place itself is really beautiful, with the splendid view on the lake, which you can enjoy from the outdoor kitchen, the garden, and the sauna. In addition to that, Ted, Rebekka, Christina and Axel are really amazing people. Their dreams and lifestyle are so inspiring, and it is a great source of peace and enrichment to share time and conversations with them. :) I spent many moments of sharing, joy and peace with the four of them, the 2 children and the 2 Workawayers who stayed with me in the really comfortable tipi tent. :) It was really nice to learn each other's languages. It's also great to see the place evolve day by day thanks to everyone's help, and to see Ted Rebekka Christina and Axel's dreams take shape in reality :) To sum up, if you want to spend time with creative, inspiring and really welcoming people in a wonderful place, this is a great Workaway ! 😊❤️🌞

Lani & Matt were extremely hospitable and kind! Volunteers get their own space, including bathroom and kitchen. I got to use the (amazing) coffee machine and there was always plenty of food around, either cooked by the volunteers or Lani who was experimenting with new recipes. Unfortunately I had to cut my stay short of a family emergency but I would have loved to stay longer! During my stay, there was a short break in between guest groups so we got to organise the resort a little - cleaning out the fridge, labelling items, cleaning out the laundry etc. The town itself is very quiet, you have to organise your own transport to move around and explore. Other than that I can only say thank you!

Marcus was a joy to have around. He came with a positive attitude, took on anything we asked of him (and some things that we didn’t need to ask), and always with a smile and good energy. He also took great care of our dogs whilst we went away for 2 nights and always looked out for their wellbeing and made extra time during his stay for dog cuddles and play time. He was the perfect workawayer for us, responsible, reliable, efficient (I wonder why), fun to be around when we were together, but perfectly capable on his own when he was alone. Everybody who stayed at the same time loved his company and we can’t wait for him to come back again. Also, our garden has never looked better.

This was a great place to volunteer at. The work on the farm was straight forward, fair, and well communicated by Cecile, the host. Cecile is friendly and accommodating, and shared good advice on what to do and where to go on the Island and is good to chat with about general information on the Island. I only briefly met her husband Cesar while I stayed before he went away for work, but he was friendly aswell. The farm itself is awesome. Cecile isn't lying when she says you can eat as much fruit as you want. I think I ate my body weight in Bananas and Papayas during my stay. I'd definitely recommend this project to other Volunteers staying at Isabela. Thanks for hosting me Cecile, all the best. Hope the grass doesn't grow back too fast 😉 Zane

Olivia and Sille have shared their efforts in sharing English not Only to my students but also to my friends students and few of my private class students too. I really love their personality of being friendly and loving to the children and my neighbourhood. Thanks you to both of them for sharing new vocabularies to me. And we will always remember their help they gave to Jo at my new home. I hope you would come again and we all could have another adventure at another English camp, or places in South Sulawesi that you have not explore. Best Regards Ika Pangkep, Indonesia

We are delighted to hear you had a fantastic experience in Tunja. Your kind words about our staff and facilities mean a lot to us. Eni is an amazing teacher, and her outstanding qualities left a lasting impression on everyone. Her friendly and professional demeanor, coupled with her constant smiles and great sense of humor (rawr), brought so much joy and positivity to our school. The students and staff truly enjoyed her presence and benefitted greatly from her teaching. Her initiative to make an info pack is a thoughtful addition that will benefit future volunteers. To any organization considering her for future volunteer opportunities, we highly recommend her. Her dedication, enthusiasm, and exceptional teaching skills make her an invaluable asset to any team. We hope to see her back one day!
