  Hi, Emily & Mike here, and we run a ski lodge in Japan.
  
  The concept is simple. A ski lodge tucked away in the mountains that delivers our guests everything they need for the ultimate ski holiday. Comfort. Service. Movie room. Spa room. Located On-resort in Japanese powder. Inspiring and delicious food. Served by real people that know how to have fun & work together as a dream team.
  
  We also run ski-through / slope side cafés at Hakuba Cortina & Hakuba Norikura Resort.
  Serving specialty espresso coffee, homemade artisan style baked goods and great vibes!
  
  We have opportunities available at the lodge, and the slope-side cafes.
  
  We're looking for COMMITTED, FUN, ENERGETIC, GO-GETTER personalities that THRIVE IN CHALLENGES, are OPEN MINDED, and LOVE PEOPLE.
  
  The winters are fast paced, and can be an extraordinary experience for those that are willing to immerse themselves to its full potential.
  
  The lodge & cafes will be operating from 20 December 2024 - 30 March 2025.

  + Available to stay & work from December 1st 2024 to March 31st 2025
  
  + Valid international drivers license.
  
  + Japanese Working Holiday Visa.

  + Motivated in winter climates (if you're the type that hates the cold, this job isn't for you!)
  
  + Energetic and confident interacting with lodge guests, customers and your team.
  
  + Comfortable living in a shared space.
  
  + Have natural care for others & understand people's needs.
  
  + Be independent & comfortable managing your own free time.
  
  + Love skiing or snowboarding.

  POSITIONS AVAILABLE at the LODGE:
  
  + BREAKFAST CHEF
  Cooking experience, morning person, bright, energetic, organized, accommodating.
  
  + BREAKFAST SERVICE
  Any hospitality experience, morning person, bright, energetic, organized, accommodating to guests, confident to lead and handle in-house guest questions.
  
  + DRIVER / SNOW CLEARER
  Experienced & confident in driving in difficult conditions and driving 8-10 seater vehicles. Morning person, fit, happy to get uncomfortable jobs done (snow clearing, fixing, odd jobs at the lodge, dealing with issues in the snow if they arise),
  a leader, organise guests where they need to go, friendly, talkative, welcoming person.
  
  + HEAD CHEF (Head Chef, working alongside Mike)
  Experienced chef that will cook Mike’s menu.
  Each night we serve a set-menu, rotating daily over 6 days.
  Our restaurant caters up to 30 people.

  ''Our next chapter – Fire & Ferment – is a culmination of experiences and experiments gathered over the past 5 years.
  The use of fire, cooking over coals and smoking has become an undeniable favourite in our cooking. Meanwhile the magic of fermentation is our backbone for enhancing the flavour profiles of our dishes. This year we’ll be upscaling the use of both of these cooking techniques and paying homage to their deliciousness and nourishment.
  You’ll find plants & vegetables we’ve gathered and preserved from around Hakuba, as well as local meats and fish which we aim to present in a totally new way.
  Each night enjoy a tasty story from the warmth of the restaurant.''

  POSITIONS AVAILABLE at the SLOPE-SIDE CAFE:
  
  Hourly pay rate.
  Rostered on 4 days per week, 8:30 - 16:00
  
  Apply only if you have barista or food preparation experience.
  
  + BARISTA
  True barista experience, morning person, leader, thrives in a team environment, attention to detail,
  works well under pressure.
  
  +SERVER, FOOD PREPARATION
