Hi! My name is Philippa and I am from a small town in England looking to explore Europe on a gap year before I study Literature. I have always wanted to travel and I am very excited to explore and learn more about different people, languages and cultures through my first Workaway experience, and I am enthusiastic to grow by being out of my usual routine and comfort zone. I love spending time with my friends, as well as exploring solo, and am hoping to meet kind, open-minded people. I also love reading and books, and I’m hoping to find writing inspiration.

-Friendly communication! I have worked in hospitality (bars and cafes) for over 2 years
-I love to cook and can make brilliant vegetarian meals
-I have studied German and Spanish and I can converse in both, and am open to teaching English
-I am very social and can speak to almost anyone- I have volunteered in an elderly care home organising bonding activities and I am also good with children
-I love to learn and I am keen to learn more languages!
-I am creative and have had a role creating displays in both the charity shop and the cafe that I have worked at
-I have lived in Germany as a child but grew up mainly in England, I am adaptable and fit in easily into new places

Growing up I always loved travel writing, and have always been inspired to see more of the world thanks to books! I would love to write about the places I visit through Workaway, and I also love photography. At the moment I am trying to be more creative, and I'm open to anyone who can give me some guidance or inspiration in art. I also love music (I play piano), and I'm excited to meet people who can give me new recommendations.
