Hello!

My name is Anastasia and I'm 22 years old. I was born in Ukraine, but I've been studying and working in Poland for 4 years. I finished my bachelor's degree in Journalism this year. I worked in a souvenir shop in the Wieliczka salt mine, where I have an opportunity to meet tourists from different parts of the world. I decided to take a gap year from my studies to explore the world with Workaway. I'm starting my trip by discovering North and Central America.

I begin an adventure around with the idea to generate memories, moments and learn points of view other than mine. I'm interested in exploring new places, listening to the life of local people, and contributing to it. I'm open to gaining new skills and developing existing ones.

My trip starts with 7 months in Canada where I'm planning to visit different provinces, improve my English, and learn everything about the Canadian people and culture.

I'm a hard-working, enduring, and open-minded person. My strong sides are good adaptation skills, fast learning and a sense of humor:)

I've been working at a supermarket and Wieliczka's Salt Mine souvenir shop, that's why I have experience in tourism, customer service and operating of cashier register. I also worked for several months at the post office warehouse. It was a hard job, but it gave me a lot of experience.

I'm also good at such areas as house helping, cleaning, cooking and gardening. I like taking care of animals and children as well.

I also volunteered at the social media department of European Games 2023, where I was creating, filming, and editing content for their Instagram and TikTok. I have some knowledge of content creation, photography and video editing. I believe these skills could be useful as well.

I'm a quick learner. I'm open to learning new skills in different fields. For example, now I've finished barista courses because I wanted to learn the secrets of making good coffee:)
