Description
We are a Caribbean Colombian natural reserve that has been passionately nurturing an ecologically conscious agroforestry project for the past 11 years. Nestled in the mountains of the breathtaking Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, our sanctuary spans 35 hectares.
Our tale revolves around the yearning to broaden our family with the involvement of volunteers, granting them the exclusive chance to become part of this life-altering endeavor. Through the enchantment of storytelling, our aim is to enthrall individuals from all walks of life, beckoning them to join us on this remarkable voyage.
In our secluded haven, we deliberately restrict the influx of visitors to a maximum of 3 at any given time, ensuring a tranquil and intimate encounter. Enveloped by the serene beauty of nature, few neighbors dwell in proximity. If you seek a lively social scene, this may not be the perfect haven for you. Nevertheless, the Kogi Families, who grace this land with their presence, and our own kin, will be there to share in the profound communion with the natural world.
We encourage volunteers to embrace self-sufficiency by bringing along their own sustenance, aligning seamlessly with our ethos of harmonious coexistence with the environment.
Come, become a part of our narrative. Join us in weaving a future where ecological preservation and agroforestry flourish, as we cultivate a vibrant community within the tranquil embrace of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta.Types of help and learning opportunities

The National Park of Tayrona is a vast protected area of 150 square km on the Caribbean coast. Visiting Tayrona is an excellent way to explore a rainforest and spot animals for days without a guide. The trails are well marked, and the hikes are easy. Plus, the visitors don’t have to carry a heavy backpack filled with bottles of water and foods because there are campings nestled along the coast.

Giuliano, Marcella and their little daughter Flora are very kind, heartwarming, welcoming
and helpful people. The communication was also very good.

They undoubtedly left a positive mark on our project.
The plants, the peaceful place itself, the sound of the animals at night, the food gathering and cooking made it to a great adventure. We were there by ourselves, with the company of Fermin, a local of the kogi tribe. An exciting encounter and experience that we don't want to… read more
