Description
This is a family owned business located on 50 acres about 15 minutes north of downtown Asheville, North Carolina.
We operate several different businesses on site. We have two wedding venues onsite (one in a treehouse!), 10 vintage campers that are used as vacation rentals and an on-site bar that is open when we are not hosting events. We also have a 1/3rd acre of flowers and are preparing 1 acre for alpaca.. Most of the work you would be involved with is related to set up and break down for weddings and helping out at our outdoor music venue. Sometimes we need help deadheading flowers and weeding.Types of help and learning opportunities

There is no better example of Agro tourism than this place! Although we all work hard growing flowers, mushrooms, veggies and beautifying the property we also have so much fun! We average 26-30 weddings a year and have host guests from all over the globe.
We also host weekly live music, open mic nights, karaoke and food trucks!Host offers payment in line with the minimum wage

Help
As a family owned business (Tom and myself) we are very involved in all aspects of the day to day operations. We are seasonal and open each year in May and close at the end of October. We currently have two full time employees and bring in outside staff to work events.
Along with accommodations we are offering $15 per hour for at least 20 hours of work.
An ideal candidate would be willing to pitch in where needed whether picking weeds, dead heading flowers, working weddings, cleaning campers or doing laundry. We all do all of the things.Languages spoken

Accommodation
Workawayers would stay in a fully furnished two bedroom (one queen bedroom, one bedroom with bunk beds) cabin on site. The cabin has a full kitchen with stove, oven and refrigerator and a wrap around porch that overlooks the garden. The shower and bathroom are located outside but has hot water. Although the bathroom looks like an outhouse it has a flush toilet and sink.
This is a paid position so you will be responsible for your own food. There are 2 grocery stores and a Walmart within a 3 minute drive.
Unfortunately we don’t allow pets. We’ve had a lot of challenges in the past. What else ...
We are located 2 miles from the town of Weaverville that has several breweries and restaurants and only 15 minutes from downtown Asheville....where you will find everything! Often referred to as the cultural hub of the southeast Asheville will not disappoint.
Locals spend a lot of time in the woods either hiking, mountain biking or exploring swimming holes. You can be on the Blue Ridge Parkway in about 20 minutes where you will find all of these things.A little more information
