Description
It's the beginning of our adventure...
We are now trying to become more productive and so the garden is our priority. We deal with it daily with trasplanting and seeding, harvesting and weeding, watering etc... Help is mainly needed there.
The plan is to start more beds in the garden by springtime 2024, reaching something like 5000 m2.
Plus little by little, we have to set up a washing/storing area for veggies, renew the caravan that we bought recently to make a tiny house for Workawayers, build the compost-toilet, the composting area, build the plant nursery, build the chicken coop, dig some ponds all around the property, plant the new vineyard, build a wood-fire oven and an outdoor kitchen with bbq and a picnic area and so many more things...! That is why we need your help!
The job is usually run from the morning until sunset with a long lunch break, especially when the sun starts to hit - the famous "siesta time"!!! Where you can decide to take a nap or chill... In total you will work 5 hours per day, 5 days per week. After your chores you have plenty of spare time to enjoy the surrounding nature chilling around...
Let's talk better about food! We eat pretty much veggies, some PASTA and dairy products, just sometimes meat/fish.
Breakfast is enjoyed at home in the morning with coffee, yogurt, muesli, fruit, eggs, bread, butter, honey, and jams but of course, if you have preferences just name it! Then a pleasant lunch-break usually in the countryside around midday and at 8PM (think flexibly) we dine home. If you feel sometimes inspired to cook, then it would be fantastic to enjoy your specials all together!
Sometimes if we are in the mood and not too tired we hang out all together after dinner!
All the chores at home are shared with commonsense (like washing-up, cleaning, setting/unsetting table) the personal ones instead (like to make your own bed and keep tidy and clean your room - to clean the bathroom after every use) are your responsibility. The washing machines are usually managed by us , in a way we can load it fully, because it's a waste to start it for just a couple of shirts, but you can always decide to make a pile of clothes for 3/4 of days and then you can load your own wash.
It could be that we will need extra help with various tasks sometimes home, so be ready to be flexible. We are not on a precise schedule... Especially when it comes with unstable weather!
Then there is "The Olive Grove" a special part of our farm where we need some extra help for the harvest - which is from early November until the second week of December - always alternated with regular maintenance at the gardens, planting, harvesting and weeding if needed.
What do you not find here? Party life/night life for sure in November! So be aware that it is going to be a relaxing and meditational period of your life staying with us! Be aware, it's physical help most of the time, be ready and fit and motivated before deciding to join us!
Thanks for your interest!

Lots of food, lots of new friends, the possibility to take a break from stressing city life, the possibility to discover Apulia in a no-peak touristic season maybe... You could also learn more about healthy nutrition and sustainable agriculture, learn Italian directly from an Italian teacher, learn more about meditational yoga (Nonna Giovanna is a Raja Yoga teacher and an ex-school teacher! Take advantage!)

Help
We need help for different tasks, according to the season. Lots of weeding, and new planting, help cooking sometimes, fixing drywalls, painting, pruning or harvesting...
A quiet person or a couple who enjoy nature and manual tasks is ideal, definitely, not party animals but an easy-going and level-headed person/couple! We love good vibes!Languages

We have a double room to share if there are more workawayers involved. There are 2 bathrooms (you can use that one you'll like more) a kitchenette on the terrace and a kitchen with a fireplace in the living room.
The house is based in Lizzano (Taranto) near to the countryside (5 min driving or 10 biking)
We are also renewing a caravan in a way that Workawayers could stay on the countryside with a self sufficient accommodation, it will be potentially ready before summertime 2024 if you are planning to stay in that period.
We will provide you a bike to give you the independence to sneak around and we can drive you around to the nearby towns sometimes to discover new places when possible!
Buses are pretty easy to take if you want to travel farther sometimes...A little more information
