Description
The Brewery is located in the heart of Prince William Sound. Often called Alaska's hidden gem, Cordova offers adventure that is truly off-the-beaten path. Cordova is a rural community of roughly 2500 year-round residents with no road access. Cordova is surrounded by the Chugach National Forest and opportunities for hiking, backpacking, kayaking, and exploring are basically endless if you can brave the weather that comes with being in the farthest north rainforest. If you are interested in having a summer experience in Alaska that is truly unique Cordova is the place to be!
The Copper River Brewery is the one and only brewery in Cordova and it serves as the social hub in the community with weekly trivia nights, really good food, and locally brewed beer.
The kitchen half of the brewery is owned and operated by the dynamic duo, Joe Hamm and Shae Bowman ( the OG Copper River Couch Potatoes). We are in our 30s, we love Cordova, we love to have fun in the kitchen and we especially love to adventure in Cordova. As a member of the Copper River Couch Potatoes (Kitchen staff for Copper River Brewing) you will help us serve up some of the best eats in town. We serve sandwiches on bread baked-in house, tacos, locally harvested oysters, tasty desserts, and general brewery fare.
Our team is a close knit brewcrew and we are looking to welcome a new summer-time member who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited about endless outdoor adventures!
Compensation: $12 - $14 depending on experience + tips.

Cordova, Alaska is an amazing place for an outdoor enthusiast. We will provide you with a bike, a vehicle, and kayaks, and canoes so that you can access all that this place has to offer in your free time. The brewery is a great place to meet the locals. Cordova is all about community and there are so many ways to get involved. Cordova is truly off-the beaten path. It is in rural Alaska and there is no road access to this community which makes it very unique in many different ways. Our year-round population is 2500 people which can double to 5,000 people in the summer time.

We are looking for someone to come chef it up with us at a craft brewery in Cordova, Alaska. We serve sandwiches on a house-made bread, locally harvested oysters, and general brewery fare. Accommodation
We can provide lodging space at the brewery. The space includes a bedroom, bathroom, shower, couch, bed, and projector for movies. It will also have a microwave & toaster oven. Workawayers will also have access to cooking meals in the brewery kitchen during closed hours.
We also provide a free meal with every shift and brewery staff have access to a "leftovers" shelf in the brewery kitchen fridge.
What else ...
During time-off, helpers will be able to access hiking, biking, kayaking, camping, ect. For someone who wants to spend time outdoors Cordova can't be beat! The community is very walkable, safe, and friendly. There are several festivals hosted throughout the year along with local community art classes. For camping there are several Forest Service cabins that you can hike to.
