Description
I am running a small organic farm on the Island of Föglö, belonging to the Aland Islands between Sweden and Finland. I have 5 horses, a very friendly dog and chicken. I have some fields for the horses, I grow hay and I have a garden for vegetables, fruit trees and berries. To the family belongs me, Karin, who is a former riding-teacher, nowadays just staying at home because of my reuma, my daughter Viola living on a farm nearby with her ponies and dogs, and 3 grown-up sons, sometimes visiting me.

The surroundings are beautiful and quiet, the people living here love the nature, fishing and hunting. We have ferries connecting to east and west. We speak Swedish.
Help
I need help in the garden, with some painting of buildings, some help with the animals. Unfortunately it is not possible to ride since the horses are not for beginners or for teaching.
You will have a lot of free time you can spend in the nature around the farm, there is a lot to see and enjoy at this time of year. I also have a beautiful wooden boat, we can do some fishing. And I have a spare bike, it is only 4 km to the central village Degerby from where the ferry (free) goes to the mainland.
Only one person. No dogs or other pets (because of my old dog Della). Independent -I can only take care of myself at the moment.Languages spoken

What else ...
You can google on Föglö, our Island. I can pick you up in Mariehamn, the only city on Åland, there are ferries connecting to Stockholm, Turku and Helsinki. It is also possible to come with a small, free ferry directly to Överö, Föglö, from Korpo, Finland.

It was an amazing experience, Föglö is incredibly beautiful, the horses are charming and last but not least there's of course Karin. She's very open minded and will welcome you with open arms on her beautiful farm.
I would definitely stay with her again and I would recommend staying there to anyone who… read more
