I am really blessed working with the best Host. I really don't have any words to describe, how everything was just so perfect with working and having an cultural exchange experience in Fritzler. Tanja is really the most warm and sweet-hearted person I have ever met and I am really thankful and grateful that, we were the first Asian from the south korea, doing our workaway in germany. We learned many things while doing our workaway, and after working at the most beautiful farmhouse for 3 weeks, I personally wanted to make my own stable and make a chicken stables in korea 😁. No more words can describe, how everything was just so perfect ❤️ at the last moment, when my little brother was injured from riding a skateboard, her care and support was the truly the best support she gave it to my brother and I am really thankful and blessed that, she provided us with everything. Once again this is the best experience in my life Tanja 🙂 Thank you for everything ❤️

Naomi and Jenn are wonderful people and their pup Blue is so sweet you can't help but fall in love with her! I felt very welcome and comfortable in their cozy space! Both of these ladies are excellent cooks! I was fed many delicious and healthy meals! I learned a lot about gardening and rather enjoyed the work! Naomi was organized with goals for each day. They made sure that there was plenty of time to explore and enjoy the area! Naomi took me on a wonderful hike, we had a good time playing board/ card games ♟️, even got to make some natural homemade lemon grass hand balm and dandelion tea! 💗I wish I had been able to spend more time with these two and look forward to creating memories together in the near future! Highly recommend! I am very grateful for my time with them, life long friends made!

It was a very pleasant week spent with Louis. What we enjoyed most was sharing Louis' daily life at home. We ate well together, played sport and worked at a pleasant pace. Louis is a very quiet, caring boy who has lived an interesting life. He has nice dogs and a lovely house

Thais y Uli son personas maravillosas. Su proyecto es muy respetuoso con el medio ambiente y tienen tantas ideas para recyclar las cosas de la vida diaria. Thais tiene mucha patientia para explicar y aprendernos muchas cosas. También pasa tiempo con nosotros y su cocina está muy rica. Los dos son personas muy amables, que cuidan muchos a sus volontarios. Nos sentimos como en familia. También el lugar dónde nos quedamos era muy cómodo y nos gustó cuidar a las plantas. Somos muy agradecidos para esta experiencia memorable!

Was a bit worried first time having a male Workawayer in the house alone but as soon as he arrived there was no need to be worried, he was an absolute gentleman. Very respectful and always up to doing the work, Lesley would always do a job no matter how hard or easy it was, he was always happy and smiling and he was always full of chat, great company very quick learner, he would always accompany you anyway you wanted I don’t think he knows what the word no is because it’s always a yes, the work he did was incredible and I don’t think it could have been any better, I would like to think I thought him a few new skills. He got on absolutely fantastic with everyone in the house and we are so delighted that he is coming back to us again in July, he will always be welcome back to my home Thank you Lesley for an absolutely wonderful work away experience and you will be highly recommended to anybody by me :) he was always so appreciative with anywhere I brought him and he was so glad we have helped him with his surfing Best of luck Marcelle grace Conor and Jess 😀

JAEHO and his brother were the first Workawayers from Asia to join us. A very special experience. Both were wonderful guests, always ready to lend a hand, whether in the household, with the animals or in the garden. In the almost three weeks, the two of them painted the chicken coop so that the chickens could finally move in. In the garden trees remains uprooted with a lot of force. And made the Korean cuisine palatable to us and cooked very tasty dinners several times. The two are very much liked by the whole family and the animals they took perfect care of. We had a great time, although the weather was often still wet and cold, there was a nice sunny trip to the lake. We have experienced and learned a lot about life in South Korea and try to keep a trace of the equanimity of the two of them, to accept things as they are:) Thank you very much for the wonderful time together. Always welcome in our home and friends at heart.

Hola Aleja y Chris! Perdón por los comentarios tardíos! Estuvimos unas 3 semanas en la increíble Granja de Aleja y Chris, ¡Un tiempo increíbles que siempre recordaremos! ¡Aprendimos a cultivar la tierra, a hacer compost, construction con tierra y muchas otras cosas! ¡Aleja y Chris son personas muy amable y divertidas a las que les encanta compartir sus experiencias y historias! Tambien muy buena energia y comida deliciosa. Sus lugar son marivilloso en la montaña rodeado por naturaleza muy bonito y pensamos la plataforma de yoga es la mejor el mundo con un muy buena vista, para hacer yoga o relajando. ¡Nosotros llegamos con muy poco español, pero no es un problema, y tambien aprendemos mucho! ¡Muchas muchas gracias a todo! Te extrañamos!

I really enjoyed my stay with Kate and her family! They are fun to be around, adventurous, and always cooking something exciting. Kate has lots of interesting stories from traveling and making documentaries. They are generous and inclusive and the animals are very sweet. Marin is a beautiful area to explore, especially on bike! Thank you so much, Kate, for welcoming me and Lentil!

Agnete is a warm person and welcomed me from the start. She has a great sense of humour and a lot of knowledge to share. I learnt a lot from her, for example about healthy eating, beekeeping and how to repair a greenhouse. Communication was always at eye level and I always felt taken seriously. Agnete also took me on many outings, i went on a snowshoehike for the first time. We visited flea markets, went hiking and tried ice bathing. The work was manageable and varied. I really enjoyed my time with Agnete and it went by far too quickly. I highly recommend her as a host! :)

You were a pleasure to host, keen to learn and experience new things and always smiling. Though it was only a few days your contribution was really appreciated. I hope we see you again one day.

You were an absolute pleasure to have around. The place feels kind of empty without you. You became part of the family and you are always welcome back here any time. Not only were you great at the work you were a great chef and amazing company. I hope you have a brilliant summer on your adventures.

I stayed with Adriana and Hans for 3,5 months (January-April 2024) and had an amazing time. The family is absolutely lovely, warm, welcoming and fun. Adriana always made sure that I had everything I needed and cooked amazing food for me and the family. The kids were super nice, and both fun and easy to be around. We spoke German, although my language skills weren't super sharp when I arrived, we made it work. I have now developed my German a lot, thanks to the boys who always kept talking. In the house my job was to keep the space clean and keep the kids company after school. I also had some English lessons with the kids which was really fun for us both. Since the kids were in school all day I had that time free. I chose to spend my time discovering Munich but you could absolutely take courses, in person or online, or have a part time job in that time. Munich it self is wonderful, and the public transport is excellent and keeps you connected to the city. I loved my time in Munich and would recommend it to anyone with interest in German day to day life. Thank you Adriana and the boys for a amazing winter.

È stata il mio primo Workaway e non sarei mai potuta essere più fortunata. Tutte le persone che la abitano sono entrate nel mio cuore. Ho potuto partecipare alla raccolta delle olive, al laboratorio di serigrafia, all'organizzazione degli eventi. È un ambiente dinamico, se vi piace essere sempre in movimento e in mezzo alle persone non rimarrete delusi! La casa è in un posto meraviglioso, che emoziona a qualsiasi ora del giorno e della notte. Non vedo l'ora di tornare! Ciao amici <3

This was a great experience that I enjoyed immensely. The family is very welcoming, and very willing to go the extra mile to help out the volunteers. I was very lucky to have two great groups of students in my classes, and I hope they learned as much from me as I did from them. You will have plenty of time to prepare for these classes, giving you space to explore the area, or take care of mundane tasks like getting groceries. You can easily make a day trip to Villavicencio, or spend a weekend in Bogotá; there are also several scenic spots within a day's journey. Staying with a family for a lengthy period of time gives you a unique view on the country, and I will always remember my time here. I have fond memories of both the family and the volunteers I worked with!

What a delightful experience. Christian is such a kind, easy-going host. He is generous with his time and always enthusiastically sharing ideas for off the beaten path adventures. The property is a short walk to a wonderful vegetable stand and weekly organic market. It's beautiful and filled with towering palm trees, hammocks, and excellent hot showers. I found it easy to get engaged in new projects there. It's a new enough property that there are ample opportunities to improve things and my input felt super valued. Painting new signs, organizing things, or inventing little improvements for the dorms.

Dionne was a wonderful help to me.we enjoyed working together, she is such an experienced help,trimming shrubs, pulling weeds, getting my perrenial garden in shape, she was so knowlegeable and very willing to to what I ask of her. Yes she is always welcome back. She took care of her personal space,cooked,and we shared some adventures together to see the area. She would be an asset to anyones home and garden.

How to tell you how was Silvia and Giacomo during the tree week they stay at les Coquelicots. They are a fantastic couple so kind for me, doing great meals and working together for everything. Silvia helping Giacomo for all he did . . . And he did a lot of skills very, very well ! He makes a fantastic gate for the garden, arches for the roses tree and many other small things in the house. She was doing work on the wood, very precise and painting, seating on the floor. We talk together about our house, compared the different way of living, and many other things. I miss them a lot and I hope they can come back very soon. My house is there house. They are, for me, lovely and they are always welcome. Thank you so much Silvia for you kindness; thank you Giacomo for all you did and, by the way, can you tell me what are the skills you aren't able to do ? You are alway welcome. It was a pleasure having Marc with us for quite a few months. We are a very busy place and Marc always showed independence, responsibility and reliability. He was very eager to learn new things as well as teaching us other stuff! It's been a great asset to our hostel and we wish him all the best, until next time! Yann

I cannot say enough good things about Michaela! What a treat it was to host her and to get to spend some time with her. She approaches every task with a can-do attitude and an eagerness to go above and beyond expectations. Her warm personality and genuine desire to help others make her an invaluable asset to any project. Beyond being a talented cook, she helped me out doing research on plants and trees, and with building a fence from scratch, and what a great job she did! I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to meet her, and I can wholeheartedly recommend her to other workaway hosts looking for a friendly, reliable, responsible, trustworthy, and wonderful person all around. Thank you sister for coming over to visit your Latino bother, for all the help you provided, and for making our short time together such a delightful experience.

We had Tom and Heath join our team for the Winter 2023/2024 season as "all-around" team members. They worked alongside us as bartenders, servers, cleaners, tour operators, and as all around guest experience experts. They have an infectious positive attitude, they are kind, funny, hard working, and diligent. They are committed to making guests feel welcome and valued and we wouldn't have had a successful season without them! We are so grateful for them and can't wait to work together again! Highly recommend the both of them!
