    Description

Hello! I'm Yenny, and I live just an hour outside of Bogotá in the mountains of La Calera. My cabin is shared with two adorable cats who are a joy to be around. If you appreciate nature, you'll feel right at home here. I enjoy meditating, yoga, leisurely walks, and simply resting in the midst of the farm. It is a very safe place.

I am a Spanish teacher and teach online, so I have the best office! Do you need to work online too?

While assisting with the care of my cats during my absence, you'll have the chance to enjoy scenic walks by the lake and mountains, discover great spots for meditation and relaxation, and even visit nearby spas. In return for ensuring the safety and happiness of my feline friends, you can savor a cup of excellent Colombian coffee with a breathtaking view. This opportunity offers a perfect escape from the city hustle and bustle or a peaceful rest during your travels, providing a delightful retreat in nature.

I'm reaching out because I have upcoming travel plans and am looking for a kind soul (or souls if you are a couple) to stay with my cats while I'm away. In return, you'll get to enjoy a cup of excellent Colombian coffee with a breathtaking view, all while ensuring the safety and happiness of my feline friends. It's a perfect opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of the city or rest while traveling and have a little retreat in nature. Everyone is welcome to help regardless of age, gender or orientation.

The cats are independent and will sleep inside the cabin when you're there. Feel free to leave the door open if you're inside, and if they venture outdoors, they enjoy nibbling on grass and chasing insects. They're familiar with their surroundings and will navigate them confidently.

Your responsibilities will include ensuring the cats remain indoors when you leave the cabin, changing their water daily, cleaning their litter box, and taking out the trash (a pleasant walk down the farm). We have 2 friendly dogs in one of the other cabins and in the main house, so please be cautious about leaving doors open when the cats are outside to provide a safe hiding place for them if the dogs are around. Feel free to enjoy the peaceful surroundings and rest assured the dogs have plenty of food, so there's no need to feed them.

Thank you for considering helping me with my cats!

If this sounds like a peaceful getaway you'd enjoy, please get in touch! I'd love to chat and see if we are a good match.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon!

In my cabin, you'll find a comfortable queen bed with clean sheets, right where I also sleep. Feel free to bring your own food and use the provided kitchen facilities. There are cereals (rice, lentils, beans) available, along with some fruits, vegetables, spices, a fridge, stove, and other appliances for your cooking needs. La Calera offers delivery services (perfect for a pizza night!), and there are local restaurants just minutes away where you can enjoy local cuisine during your stay.

Transportation to La Calera is straightforward, with frequent buses departing from Calle 72 and 13 (near a transmilenio station in Bogotá) every 15-20 minutes via Transportes Teusaca for $5,500 COP. From there, you can take a taxi or rural bus (although less reliable with timing) to the farm where the cabin is located. You can also enjoy a scenic 20-minute walk to La Calera. Uber can take you here (check on the app for fares) and I can provide numbers of people who can transport you Bogotá. During your time off, consider day trips to nearby towns like Guasca or take a refreshing walk in the Páramo de Chingaza. Embrace the tranquility of La Calera and its beautiful surroundings during your stay!
