Hello
I have spent most of my life renovating properties and have plenty of practical experience. I am British, but lived in SW France from 1995-2009. I have a diploma in Ecological Architecture and Energy Studies. In 2015 I went to Tenerife to pass a Permaculture Design Certificate. From there I went to Portugal and Spain to work on farms practising permaculture. I spent an amazing year studying horticulture and permaculture at Kinsale College, Ireland. I returned to live in SW France from 2017-2022. Last year I decided on my latest adventure; I sold up and bought some land in Brittany to build a house. The project has had some setbacks so with winter here I thought maybe it would be fun to do a Workaway for a few weeks and meet some new faces. I am interested in developing new skills that will help me live minimally and healthily, and would love to meet people with whom I can exchange ideas.

Sally was a really great volunteer to have. In terms of work she was competent, enthusiastic and productive she had obviously learnt lots of great skills renovating during her time in France. On the sociable side a very easy and enjoyable person to have staying. I can definitely recommend her to any host.

I spent an amazing two weeks with Chris and Jo. I felt very privileged to share their lives and loved our mealtime/evening conversations around the fire. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and can highly recommend them both as hosts. They live surrounded by outstandingly beautiful countryside and I will definitely be returning to the area.

Great Experience - I was made to feel very welcome. I loved every minute working with Daniel in the almond groves surrounded by amazing views. Guillermo is a very kind and genuine person and I cannot recommend him more highly as a host. I wish him all the best in his project.

Andrea and Jeroen are great hosts and live in a stunningly beautiful part of Portugal. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with them and would certainly recommend this for any permaculture enthusiast. Loved the camaraderie and exchange of knowledge between hosts and other Workawayers.

I had an amazing time with Steve and Frances. They were both very welcoming, kind and fun to be with. Another huge plus was having the opportunity to visit different places of interest and friends of theirs who were also living the permaculture dream off-grid.

We had an urgent timescale to complete our new chicken house and run, so that we could accommodate the newborn chicks that we were expecting.
