Description
Hello, my name is Miguel and I am from Spain.
Due to family reasons, I had to remain at home for many years. Now that I can make again decisions thinking only about myself, I have decided to live my dream life and experience what I couldn't before. I want to develop myself and find a deeper approach to life. I am deeply involved in this search.
I have lived in the amazonian Colombia and in Mexico City. From january 2018 to april 2021 I was in Italy, searching to experience this country and to learn the language.
Now I'd like to enjoy the french culture as much as I have enjoyed the italian. I am eager to know by myself what I have already explored in books. My level of french is intermediate at the moment, but I am working hard to improve my knowledge.
For me, as a volontary, it is very important the "professional" relation with my host. I like helping people with daily duties and their personal projects. I work very well in a free and autonomous way. I like doing my tasks well and I would like to do things I have never done before, and to learn new abilities and capacities.
To me, it's very important too to connect on a personal level: interesting conversations, to get to know different ways to face up life, to learn from your experiences... Both private time and time to stay together. To share good moments and, when leaving your home, to take with me something good and to leave to you something good.
I love writing and I did a course in screen writing in Rome in 2021-2022.

It's been more than 5 years that I do workaway in Europe. During this time I have faced many different host's profiles and voluntary works. I think that this variaty has given me a great flexibility and adaptability to diverse characters and envirenments (high mountain, religious communities, yoga centers, people living on their own, aged people, young couples...)
I can cope as well with many different tasks, from gardening to horses care, from grape harvest to cider making, from arranging theatrical decorations to house-sitting, repairs, wood chopping, orchards, cutting hedges, dog-sitting, greenhouse assembly ... What I most value from all these experiences is that I have learnt to arrive to a place and cope with what needs to be done with care and dedication.
What I have most enjoyed during these years it's been carpentry and I'd love to learn from an expert on the subject.
As a trade, I have been for many years receptionist in a four star hotel. I speak very well english (one year in Ireland in 2001) In italian, I have the C2 diploma, native level. In french, I have now an intermediate level and I'd like to get, at least, the C1 diploma.
I think that if you like doing things well and you are not afraid of hard working, you can face up everything in life. I would like to learn new things from your experiences, capacities and abilities

I had a very good experience at Jervis. The rifugio is in the Gran Paradiso National Park. The landscape is amazing. You will be sorrounded by big mountains and lakes with plenty of paths for hiking all arround.
