I am a 20 year old male, travelling alone through Europe for a year. I am kind, friendly, outgoing, hard-working and interested in seeing new places and meeting new people. I am happy to work long hours, in positions that require hard manual labour, artistic direction, effective problem-solving, or general maintenance. I worked in Australia as a professional house painter for three years, before then I worked as a conductor on the oldest steam train in Australia, talking to tourists, greeting people, dealing with complaints, checking tickets, and informing passengers aboard the train of historical locations, landmarks, and backgrounds of the nearby areas. I worked very briefly as an apprentice to the head Patisserie chef at a restaurant named "Hawk & Hunter" as work experience. I love to cook, write, act, sing, paint and create art. I have acted in several stage productions, and am interested in beginning a career as an actor in the immediate future. I love comedy and am very humorous, I'm a very good cook, I'm interested in writing, both creatively and biographically, and I enjoy making art when I can, both painting and sculpting. I am a hardworker, and put effort into everything I do, and I'm very passionate about travelling to new places, admiring architecture, and historical discoveries.

I have travelled alone through Europe already last year, when I finished my high school education at the age of 18. I worked in a hostel in Italy as a cleaner, builder, painter, plasterer, gardener, receptionist, bartender, cook and local guide. After then, I worked as a farmer on a farm in the Spanish countryside, herding goats, feeding and giving water to chickens and rabbits each day, planting tomato plants, and laying down an irrigation system for the tomato plants and olive trees. Following that I worked on an eco project in the German countryside, painting walls and window frames, plastering, installing pipes for heating, laying insulation, cleaning the houses, cooking meals for the workers, maintaining the gardens and field, performing tasks involving heavy lifting, and repairing old bikes. I also did some paid work for the HostelGeeks website, writing a detailed review for a hostel I had stayed and worked at.

I have worked as a house painter for three years in Australia, because of this I can plaster and paint, as well as repair broken furniture and find resourceful, efficient and practical solutions to issues. I can clean rooms, windows, mirrors, sheets and clothing, but I am also good with tasks that require very heavy lifting. I have an interest in food and art, and I'm a very capable cook, artist, singer, writer, gardener, and actor.

I am a confident, friendly person who can work well with people in any situation. I am outgoing, hard-working and happy to meet new people. I don't mind performing hard manual labour, I'm good in positions involving hospitality, and I can learn new skills very quickly.

What else ...

I enjoy learning more of new cultures and lifestyles I encounter on my travels, I believe this will be a wonderful experience for me and I prefer to help people where I can regardless of whether there is a benefit to me in doing so, so volunteer work is something I appreciate greatly.
I love cooking for people and really enjoy making new friends wherever I can; this also means that I love to organise card games, group dinners, hikes and travel with new people. I enjoy singing and music in general very much and try to involve myself in art projects; on top of this I have a passion for writing and would be trying to work on a couple of books while I travel and work.

In a professional capacity; I have worked professionally as a house painter and plasterer, as well as in a deli, in hostel reception and room cleaning, in hands on physical labor on farms, on eco-projects installing heating to buildings and making artworks, as an English teacher in Africa, a tour guide in Pompeii, and in cooking within each workplace I've had overseas in the past seven years. Most recently my work was in house painting, which I did independently in Australia, as well as work in a deli, behind a register, and as a manager in a retail store in Australia also. My work has been both in the area of hospitality and physical manual labor.
