Description
I'm a published poet, translator, publisher, currently based in my native Istanbul. Three poetry collections of mine have been published between 2016 and 2021, and my English translations of Turkish poets have appeared in such journals as Chicago Review and Mantis (Stanford University). I've sung in western classical music choirs for many years, including the BBC Symphony Chorus. I can teach Turkish and English (all levels), and help beginner- and intermediate-level students of German improve their German. I'm a nonsmoker and nondrinker. I've been vegan since 2012. I studied both Materials Science & Engineering and Musicology--master's degrees in both fields. I'm also an amateur pianist and oboist. I consume organic food to the extent that I can--not always possible while traveling. I greatly enjoy teaching languages and music, as well as working on (organic) farms as part of a team.
