Hello!
My name is Ana and I come from a small town in Brazil. I'm a calm and sensible person. Friends usually describe me as friendly, funny (sometimes a little bit shy) and thoughtful.
My intention is discovering, learning about the world and myself, trying to live meaningfully. I'd like to have hands on experience with sustainability, work with natural buildings and permaculture to maybe somewhere and somehow help to spread a more sustainable way of life. Also, I'm really interested in learning more about alternative therapies, like shamanism, ayurveda, meditation, budhism, yoga. I'd worked in many different things, I learn very quickly as long as you show me what and how to do, you can leave me by my own soon, if you want so.
I wish to have a life with more focus on community and cooperation. I can say that I'm very spiritual, but not religious although I do respect ways people think.
Some infos about myself:
I worked as architect, from 2010 to 2018, designing buildings and supervising the building process;
I've got a master degree in civil engineering: sustainable communities and buildings in 2010 and I have been researching and learning at natural building workshops between Brasil and Uruguay since then;
I've been building natural buildings since March, 2018 and I’m a meditation instructor and human development student.;
Since COVID I discovered a new passion: I worked for two years at a travel agent and tourist guide at a Travel Agency, making travel itineraries and taking groups around Brasil and South America. I really liked it and I keep doing it online to people who have special interest in intentional travels. While at the agency, I also used to take care of their social medias and I still work at travel content creator for myself.
I speak Spanish, English, Portuguese (off course) and I understand a little bit of German.

I've been building with cob, adobe or mud bricks as well as earth plastering, lime washing, oiling and painting, building stone walls.
Also I'm not a computer specialist, but I'm a good searcher and I work with social media, as travel content creator.
I can draw and design plans with AutoCad.
I'm a meditation instructor.
I'm a tourist guide and I do customized travel itineraries.

I am a very reliable person, honest, and responsible.
In 2006 (I was 24), I spent three months working at a Mac Donald's restaurant in Latham Farms (New York, USA). I started doing everything: cleaning tables, dishes and bathrooms, making sandwiches, being cashier and drive thru attendant and ended up being manager after the first month.
I spent four months before doing some volunteer job with a cob specialist in Devon (England), where I've been doing cob, earth plastering, stone walls, lime washing, oiling as soon as cleaning when necessary.
After I was volunteering ( not through workaway) in Ireland at a centre for sustainability doing some earth plastering and working in the garden growing food and selling them at the local market.
It's been 6 years now that I'm a nomad and I've done a lot of volunteer and other works that I find as I go at the place where I am, that's the reason I don't have many reviews here. But I can provide more reviews and contact numbers if necessary, thanks God I always had good experiences and very nive relationships with all my previews hosts and pears.
I'm just looking for a place with friendly people where I could be helpful in exchange for accommodation and food to keep this desire of travel the world, sharing culture, spiritual descoverings, healing therapies and travel experiences.
It would be an honour to learn from you and then hopefully spread to other people everything that could make sense to their lives when asked to do so.

I feel in love with Morocco after this amazing workaway experience, the small village of Tnine Sidi El Yamani is a very charming and friendly place. You can understand a lot about moroccan people just walking around there and going to the local souk and hamam.
There are a lot of very interesting places to visit in the surrounding area, like the… read more Mzoura Stone Circle, Paradise Beach, Larache, Kzar el Kebir.
The ecovillage is on top of a hill with amazing views of the valley, the sunset on the green roof is outstanding and even the train crosses the valley at that moment.
The job is hardworking but it worth because you learn a lot about natural building and you get amazing food at breakfast, break, lunch and dinner. You can get Indian, thai, moroccan, Italian food... always a good surprise.
Bushier is a local builder that knows a lot, he is very nice and helpful and he always find a solution to everything just recycling anything which is around.
The permanent residents of the village besides Linsey, are very funny animals. Layla is the princess of the house, she's like a child and can do everything, she'll lay on your legs and kiss you a lot if you give her a chance. Cats are also there coming and going, and climbing everywhere. The chickens started a revolution and decided to be free, now they fly out of the chicken's place and just lay their eggs at the most curious places, like above some clothes in the laundry room or at some plants pot in the kitchen. But my favorite one is Cusco, a street dog that was brought to Linsey's place and she accepted to take care of him, he's very cute, he's quite, on his own, very behaved and his eyes are always asking for some love.
Talking about Linsey... a lot to say and I'll probably forget something. She really gives back what you give to her, if you're honest and hard worker, she'll give you the world :blush:
I spent there almost two months and still think it wasn't enough. She introduced me to her family and to her best friends, I was very lucky because they're very special people.
She took me to a lot of souks, Tnine, Ksar el Kebir, another after the Mzoura Circle and we also went to the Hamam together.
We had very deep conversations and also funny moments, we shared our history, she is the one that put on my mind to live the moment without concerns about the future that might not happen. She also shared her family motto with me 'you can do whatever you like", she has a nice musical taste and like to be quiet as myself, we were also a good team in the kitchen. She was my accomplice to have deserters at dinner sometimes.
Linsey knows how to entertain people, building a fire, playing fives or watching amazing movies from her magical box. I'd say that she also knows how to choose her volunteers, just amazing people around. That's also why people were coming and going and I was still there, even the pomegranate ran out of season and I was still there, as we used to say. I truly recommend to spend as much time as you can, you'll learn a lot with Linsey about Moroccan culture, life, natural buildings, cooking...
Linsey, I wanna tell you that I admire a lot everything that you did in your village and that you still are doing. You're very creative and also a model of very strong woman. I'm very proud to see that an English woman with a very comfortable life just decided to move to Morocco and build all of this, in the years, apparently the sky is the limit for you. Also, the way you deal with man in a community where woman don't have their space is admirable, you earned the respect of everyone and put yourself in a position that nobody wants to cheat or disrespect you. You built your own oasis, proving that woman can do whatever they want to do, even in a culture where there isn't yet much space for woman.
