We're looking to travel through Central America between February - August 2024, looking to learn more and offer our skills in gardening, art, building, cooking and more :-)

Description

Hello! We are Rosie and Al, leaving from Scotland on our travels to Central America for six months, hoping to travel from Costa Rica to Mexico. Rosie is an artist and Al is an architect and aspiring potter.

We're looking to stay with some lovely people during our trip, we're particularly interested in sharing and developing our skills in art, construction, gardening and cooking during our stay. We also have skills and some experience in furniture making and woodworking, mural painting and teaching/leading workshops.

We'd love to spend time practising yoga and meditation, and exploring outdoors, and connecting with other people who are also interested in this. We're both really interested in sustainability, particularly in construction and farming, and would like to learn from those we work with during our trip. We have been growing our own produce for the last three years and Rosie has learnt more around sustainable farming from working on a bio dynamic vegetable farm this summer. We are interested in living communally in community with others.

In our previous workaway, we stayed at a nature commune where we really enjoyed signwriting, building herb garden structures, building a wood store and other wooden structures, looking after animals and gardening.

Overall in our lives, we enjoy making art, singing, swimming, hiking, foraging and laughing with friends :-)
