Hello, its the end of 2023 and its been 4 years since i was last active on Workaway.
In that time i have settled down in the Yukon, Canada. Gone from a wide eyed traveler that believed in an endless horizon, to a person who is more than happy to bear the responsibility of a full time job, a cabin to maintain and relationships to nurture.
I am an artist, in the sense that i write songs and poetry, draw things and use those creations to connect with the world and humanity.
Outside of that, I work in construction (18 months thus far) and host a radio show.
I have some goals over the next few years; to purchase a sailboat, to go back home (UK) and do some walking with my brother-in-law, to deepen my writing capabilities and to learn Spanish.
Workaway for me is all about the exchange. The exchange of ideas, cultures, hardwork, kindness, knowledge, insights and obviously accommodation! (Maybe food..)Languages

Since being on Workaway, i have worked in a variety of settings;
- Permaculture farms
- Backpacker hostels
- Cottage holidays
- Handy man
My skills include videography, gardening, cleaning, housekeeping, photography, song writing and I am beginning on a woodworking journey.
I am a great listener and learner.
My main path though is videography. I'm aiming, initially, to go into the promotional/travel industry. But would love to make a living from making and editing videos highlighting sustainability and the natural world.
I was also street fundraiser for three years back in my sedentary life, which massively increased my people skills; being able to empathise with the other person, listening to understand not just waiting to talk and being able to keep calm under target pressure whilst working in all types of weather (scottish winters)Age
