Hola, soy Tanja, vivo desde hace cuatro años en Halle, una pequeña ciudad cerca de Leipzig/Berlín. Aquí estoy estudiando trabajo social y empecé algunos proyectos propios. Como un taller gratuito de reparación de bicicletas en el que organizo talleres de soldadura para mujeres y queers. En Halle tambien estoy involucrada en la organizacion de un escenario cultural en un festival llamado TARMAC y un Colectivo Soundsystem.

Aparte de los últimos años, paso mucho tiempo viajando. Por ejemplo, viajando en bicicleta por el Mediterráneo y el norte de África o navegando por los mares, ayudando en las tareas de mantenimiento de los barcos.
Mientras recorría el Mediterráneo en bicicleta, he participado en varios proyectos sociales. Por ejemplo, en un proyecto de viviendas para refugiados en Atenas. Allí cociné, arreglé bicicletas y enseñé a los niños y ninas a hacer pequeñas reparaciones por su cuenta. También me encantó ser voluntaria en proyectos agrículturales, como una vez en una granja en Túnez, donde ayudé terminar una estructura de arcilla y con la cosecha de safran. La mayoría de los proyectos en los que trabajé los conocí viajando o a través de amigos, pero también algunos aquí en workaway.

Además de viajar, he trabajado en varios sitios, lo que me ha aportado muchas habilidades y experiencias útiles. Sea mi trabajo anual en una obra de construcción para un festival en Munich, donde me metí en la electricidad y la colocación de tuberías de aguas residuales. O en un taller de bicicletas, donde trabajé los tres últimos años. O enseñando a los jóvenes de una escuela a construir un horno de barro o trabajando hasta el salida del sol en un bar.

En cuanto a mi personalidad, soy una persona positiva. Muy curiosa y abierta a nuevas experiencias y personas. Me encanta estar rodeada de naturaleza. Me hace sentir más conectada con mi misma y me despeja la cabeza. Por eso practico muchas actividades al aire libre, como escalada, slacklining, senderismo y ciclismo de montaña.Pero tambien tengo interessa en el arte, el cine y el teatro. Además me gusta mucho vivir ein communidad ..

Hey there, Im Tanja, Ive been living now since four years in Halle, a small city near Leipzig/Berlin. Here Im studying socail work and started out a few projects of my own. Like a DIY Bicylce repair shop where I organize beginners welding workshops for women and queers for example. In Halle Im also involved in the organization of a culture-stage at a festival called TARMAC and a Soundsystem Collective.

Apart form the last years, I spend a lot of time travelling in my life. For example, cycling around the Mediterranean and North Africa or sailing across the seas, helping out with mantaince work on boats. While biking around the Meds I’ve been engaged in various social projects. For example, in a housing-project for refugees in Athens. Where I cooked, fixed bikes and showed the kids how to do little repairs on their own. I also loved volunteering at agricultural projects like once on a farm in Tunisia finishing a clay structure and helping with the Safran harvest. Most of the projects I worked on I got engaged while travelling past or hearing form friends but also some here on workaway.

Besides travelling Ive been also working a bunch of different jobs which gave me a lot of handy skills and experiences. Let it be my every year job on a construction site for a festival in Munich, were I got into electrics and laying sewage pipes. Or in a bicycle workshop where I worked the last three years. Or be it by teaching youngsters in a school how to build an clay oven or working late-night shifts at the bar.

Concerning my personality, I’m a pretty positive person. Very curious and open minded to new experiences and people. I really love to be surrounded by nature. makes me feel more connected to myself and clears my head. Therefore I got into a lot of outdoor activities such as climbing, slacklining, hiking and mountainbiking.

What else ...

Voy a viajar a Girona / Barcelona y su alrededor con mi bicicleta en agosto. Pero tengo la intención de hacer mis licencias de conducir allí, en caso de que necesites a alguien que te lleve o cosas así. Voy a vivir en el alrededor de Griona / Barcelona durante medio año tal vez más. En ese tiempo voy a asistir a la universitidad solo por un día en la semana en Griona. Pero necesitas conocer que los lunes no puedo ayudar. Pero tambien no tengo que ir cada semana.

Ill be travelling to Girona / Barcelona and surroundings with my bike. But I intend to do my drivers licenes there. Ill be staying around Griona / Barcelona for half a year as Im for one day at the week in the Universitat de Griona.
