Description

Buntu & Samantha From South Africa, travelling with our two kids Siba (4yrs) & Khanya (2yrs).

We are travelling from South Africa through Zimbabwe, Zambia and finally Malawi.

The purpose of our travel is to research ancient sites and historical places along our route sharing the indigenous narrative of Africa.

Together we operate Ivanya Yethu Heritage Foundation which aims to preserve our natural and cultural resources with a focus on instilling these values in our youth through arts and cultural activities. Check out our work here: www.ivanyayethu.org

Together we are musicians, cultural ambassadors, promoting environmental stewardship, heritage preservation, eco-cultural toursim and our most important purpose as parents.

Samantha’s mission is to harmonize modernity with indigenous wisdom, fostering a deeper environmental appreciation. She has a background in graphic design and event management familiar with Wordpress and a Canva wiz. She has also completed a permaculture design course and trainers certificate along with a 200hr Yoga Teacher Training.

Buntu’s journey in the Arts spans over 11 years of dedicated performances on stages across the country. His commitment to the Arts is not only a testament to his artistic talent but also a reflection of his deep-rooted belief in its power to inspire and uplift communities. He is an all round handiman, having grown up in a rural village has experience with livestock, gardening and DIY building. He is a telented musician, storyteller and writer.

We are eager to experience Africa beyond the borders of our own country, sharing the stories of inspirational communities and people living a sustainable way of life while, doing our own research into the local historical narrative. We enjoy sightseeing and being in nature, learning from different cultures, immersing ourselves into music & art, meeting new people and sharing stories, reading & photography, fascinated by history and hopeful for the future.
