Hello everyone!

I'm Johanna from Finland. I'm very keen on travelling and learning from new cultures and new people. I've already had 11 amazing Workaway experiences and I'm sure there will be much more in the future!

I have lots of international experience as I've worked, studied and volunteered abroad. In my previous Workaway places I have done various tasks, for example animal care (dogs, cats, horses, donkeys, mini pigs, ponies, chickens..), gardening, pruning, mowing the lawn, painting, general maintenace, clearing spaces, cleaning and helping around the house. I have also done house and pet sitting.

I'm cheerful, responsible, curious, flexible and get along well with new people. I'm hoping to find Workaway places where I can surround myself with nature, animals, nice people. It's important to me that there is mutual respect towards one another, and things can be communicated openly. I love spending time with good people, but I also value alone time, to be able to rest and recharge my batteries. Therefore, I'm looking for places where it's possible to have a bedroom for oneself, and it's not asked to be shared with other people. Sharing a bathroom etc. is no problem.

I'm a big animal lover, so I would be more than happy if you have pets and other animals around to take care of. I also love nature, so I'm mainly looking for Workaway places (house and pet sitting included) away from big cities. Especially mountains are close to my heart, so if you are living somewhere near mountains and have animals, I would be extra happy to hear from you! :)

In my previous places I have enjoyed especially doing variety of jobs outside (e.g. gardening, some simple DIY, taking care of animals, basically whatever is needed at that time of the year). I also have very much experience on customer service and teaching if that could be useful.

Johanna stayed almost 2 months during summer and became a dear friend to all of us!
She is a quiet, reliable, empathic and caring person willing to take any responsibility when by herself with my animal zoo.
We spend wonderful days hiking and laughing together! She is such good company!

I stayed two months at Lika's place, and it has been a wonderful experience! Lika is extremely hospitable, easygoing and nice, and she has a good sense of humor. I spent 10 days with Dee, Ian and the animals. If I didn’t have to come back home, I would have wanted to stay even longer!
