Description

I am an easygoing and friendly girl from England, 25 years old. I love to explore new places and get involved in different communities. I generally prefer to stay a while and really get to know a place and so long term commitments to a project would be no problem. I am especially interested in charity projects, I have volunteered for a few NGOs before and love to get involved in a community and help to make a difference. I am also very interested in learning more about sustainability & construction, I have some previous knowledge but would love to gain more! I would also be interested in hostel work I am well organised and always keen to meet new people so feel I would be well-suited to that. Really I am happy to be anywhere I feel i can help and have a positive impact, hopefully learn some new skills, and make some new friends :)
I am currently in Medellin and looking for more exchanges during my time here in Colombia!

I have previously volunteered for with a disaster response charity so have some knowledge of (very traditional) building techniques, in carpentry and groundwork, as well as some basic gardening skills and knowledge of permaculture (through previous workaways!). I have also worked on a women's empowerment project in Uganda teaching girls to make traditional crafts, so I have skills in craft work and some experience in teaching. In terms of less hands on activities i have office experience & admin and computer skills, and would be well-suited to a hospitality role. I also have some experience of online marketing, and social media advertising.

I love meeting new people, learning new things and sharing experiences with people from around the world.

I'm currently in Spain looking for a place to stay and project to get involved with for a week or so.

I'm an engineering consultant specialising in sustainability so interested in any eco projects / communities! I have some permaculture / gardening / construction experience from previous volunteering. I love to paint so any artistic projects going I will absolutely love. I'm a water baby, diver and amateur enthusiast of any water sports, I love to hike and be in nature so will be very happy anywhere beautiful out in the wilderness and within reaching distance of some water 🙂
