  • Description

It is always hard to describe oneself, isn't it?
So, I found myself an animal I like to refer to: the Axolotl.
Besides this adorable name, it is often mistaken to be a ‘walking fish’.
A ‘walking fish’ as incredibly happy in or close to water, like me. As the Axolotl is a salamander I also feels like a social salamander in the way of tending to fit into most social settings and being with different people, languages and cultures.
The Axolotl (seriously google this animal!) has astonishing regenerative capabilities. I cannot grow myself a new limb, as Axolotls can, but in my life span I was able to take hurt, pain but also laughter and love as precious experience to grow new skills and learn more about myself and people around. Maybe that’s why I decided to study special education as a mixture of psychology, sociology and pedagogy - and put a masters in educational neursciences on top, as learning and the brain fascinate me.
If I don't google Axolotl’s characteristics I like to play with fire, literally speaking. And if I don't play with my hula hoop and poi, I like to travel, engage myself into too long talks with old or make new friends from all over this blue planet. Once in a while I manage to have some precious time on my own to read or listen to music and smile about the gift of life!

The world fascinates me and I can get interested in pretty much everything and everyone, this indeed can be boon and bane at the same time, but we tend to more and more understand it as boon.
For a real impression and to get an idea of wether my description fits who I acutally are, there’s just one way-let’s meet. (:

I would love to learn Sinhala! I am trying, but I need someone really practising pronunciation and repeating vocabulary over and over with me. (; In return, I am happy to teach English or German, if interested.

Besides smiling we are good in putting up decorations - make a shabby place a cozy one, create coffee with nice foam on it - and serve it, chopping everything from garlic to papaya as it is needed, teaching languages like german and english while learning other languages by just being in the country chatting with locals, do sports and guide others in doing so, taking care of dogs and other animals, playing around with kids and teach them whatever we may find in our mind.
Laura likes that social media and computer stuff and takes enviable fotos with her beloved camera.
We love cooking and sharing food. Being surrounded by people, eating breakfast for hours and hours while talking about life is our secret passion.
Especially fruits are more than just an healthy option to sweets. Sitting at the beach, cutting fruits, eating them with our hands and watching the ocean, the waves makes us happy. Enjoying sunlight, sociallife and being grateful for this planet full of wonder.
We love to be curious about every single new moment, new people we meet, new challenges waiting for us without being picky about which kind of work should be done.
And mostly we would be happy about sharing our life lessons, experiences and skills with others.

  • What else ...

As far as our previous experiences in work showed, we are pretty fast in picking up new things and proceedings, never had a hard time fitting into a new environment but rather enjoyed the challenge and excitement of attaching to new settings and surroundings, getting to know new people and their different approaches to life and by that questioning our beliefs.
We feel like we are curious about learning something new pretty much every day and developing new skills to constantly improve ourself.
And besides enjoying to live life to the fullest, willing to spend all power and passion into new challenges.
