Hello everyone, my name is Ryan.

I am an adventurous, enthusiastic, loyal, honest, compassionate and hard working person.

I give it my all in everything thing that I do

I am the type of person that you can teach something once and I will be able to complete the task.

I have been a chef all my life. I am passionate about all kinds of cuisine. I want to learn as much as I possibly can about food from around the world. I would also like to share my knowledge and passion for global cuisine with like minded people. I love to garden and grow my own food. There is nothing more satisfying to me, then to be able to enjoy the organic vegetables that I have cared for, harvested and have them nourish my mind, body and soul. I have been gardening and growing outside and in green houses my whole life.

I am also very passionate about photography. I love to capture different landscapes and landmarks from around the globe, as well as all the beautiful people, different cultures and traditions from around the world. I love to experience and learn about the unique ways we live our lives. I am a very artistic person, I love to paint, draw and be creative in what ever way I can.

I am a very outdoors type of person. I enjoy mountain climbing, hiking, camping, kayaking, fishing and snowboarding. My favourite thing of all time is surfing! There is nothing like the feeling of catching a big wave on a beautiful sunset evening.

The most important things to me are friends and family. One of the most rewarding experiences in my life is having the opportunity to share knowledge, culture, experiences, the places you have travelled, the amazing souls you have met along the way and the delicious meals you have shared. I believe the dinner table is a very special place. A place where friends and family can come together as one and share the days experiences. It is something that was taught to me at a very young age, the dinner table has the ability to bring a family and community together and create learning opportunities and lifelong memories.

To be apart of something like Workaway is very rewarding to me. To be able to learn, grow, experience first hand different cultural traditions, practices, religion, language and general way of life is priceless to me. For me this is what travelling is all about.
