Hey there!

My name is Anna, an active and outgoing German girl, who mostly lived outside of Germany over the past 6 years. I just finished my job World Fair Trade Organization in the Netherlands, to start a master. But before that, I'd like to explore Spain (and more of Europe) by supporting some fun and interesting volunteering projects.

I am specifically looking for something more connected to gardening and nature & permaculture, but I am also interested in yoga, looking after kids and guest or other tasks.

Below is what I wrote when I just got my account 6 years ago but I actually think it is still quite accurate :)

I'm an outgoing person with a good sense of humor and very communicative. In my opinion a good work basis can only be achieved through honesty and trust combined with responsibility so these character attributes are very important to me. Additionally I am quick of comprehension and love to learn new things. Being autonomous is really important to me and I love helping others as much and wherever I can.

I am interested in almost everything, which makes me a bit of an allrounder. Let me try to outline a few things I am quite good at:
- planning and organising (that is what I do in my job but also often in my free time with small events etc)
- working with kids (I have worked as an Au Pair, did lots of babysitting and private teaching, volunteering in an orphanage and really love the energy which kids have)
- gardening and DYI tasks (I have a garden at home which I try to maintain but I am certainly still learning a lot, that is also why I am here and looking for people who can teach me more)

I'm an creative person so I love to do my sketch diary book, small DIY projects, read, get to know new languages and cultures and foods.
I am a decent cook, I mostly enjoy throwing together fresh vegetables and create some nice dish out of them or try to use up leftovers so that no food is thrown out.

Besides I'm a hard working and fast learning person, so give me a task and a short introduction and I will do my best! :)

The experience we had with Anna truly exceeded any and all high hopes we had for taking in a workawayer. She arrived in a flurry of positive energy and hands-on working spirit, and we were amazed to see that this was not just an effect of being excited but rather the basis of her larger-than-life character.
We can honestly say that our camp would… read more have had a different energy without Anna. She joined last minute as an addition but quite frankly became our most valuable team member and the one we would turn to first in case of ANY issue whatsoever, be it a question of organisation & planning, entertainment, cooking, moral support, needy kids, sad kids, overexcited kids, injured kids, homesick kids, angry kids, bored kids, stubborn kids or any other state a kid can be in ;) Anna was amazing with the kids, they absolutely adored her. She's always in a good mood and full of energy, and extremely good at identifying and catering to individual needs. She goes from wrestling and shouting with the "badass kids" to silly dancing in the kitchen with the youngest girls, and from telling personalised goodnight stories straight to rappelling down a cliff. And whatever she does, she does it with her full body and soul in it.
Anna has to be pulled away from the tasks with both hands to stop working. She's a proactive go-getter who effortlessly identifies what needs to be done and jumps right in without any hesitation. Her hands-on approach and efficiency make her a delight to have on a team, and there doesn't seem to be anything she's not good at.
But even so, it is not Anna's productivity that we will remember best. More than any tasks successfully completed (which is many), it is her character that made an impact on us as much as on the kids. Anna is simply a joy to be around. She is open and outgoing, full of positivity and love for nature, kids and exploration. She's an amazing conversation partner with many interesting stories that speak of the wonderful life experiences she built for herself. Anna felt like a real friend after only days of working together, sharing our values and interests. I know that we will meet again and go on many more adventures together, no matter the setting as long as in involves nature and good vibes – and as you carry the latter with you and we live in a beautiful world, we have many options. :) <3
