I'm from Costa Rica, I'm 28, looking for new experiences in Europe, currently in Montenegro. I'm an outdoor person, always looking to visit new places. I love to walk, work out, do yoga and meditate, I'm very active and energetic. I'm a dog lover, I love art, painting, decorating, everything that has to do with creating with my hands.
The pandemic made me start working from home in Costa Rica, so I started moving to places I always wanted to live that I didn't before because of work, this opened my mind to a different way of living. In Costa Rica I was living at a beautiful beach, full of turists from everywhere, so I was always meeting new people with different nationalities, I saw how most of them being so young left their homes so they could travel, and this gave me motivation to do it as well. So I decided to leave my job, my country and all my stuff to travel to Europe in 2021, in the search of reaching my dream, traveling to Europe, and hopefuly around the world. Meeting new people and their different cultures gives one a different perspective on life, it opens your mind in a way you can't go back to the same before. Traveling has made me enjoy life more in a healthy way, be more present, appreciate more little things.
After traveling a while, I found some jobs on the way that kept me going, but I believe workaway is the best way to absorb the culture and meet more people. So I'm starting to look for Workaway experiences again, after having only 2, the second one was so good that I stayed longer than expected and came back twice, it's been a long crazy journey after that, I've been so blessed to have found lovely people that helped me on the way to achieve my dream.

Quais são suas habilidades?

After working several years in an office as a Data Analyst, I decided to start working on my own business, I rented a big house to turn it into a Hostel in a place called Manuel Antonio. My sister and I did all the repairs, from painting the walls, beds, fixing the doors, adding ac's in all the rooms, creating a deck from pallets, creating a closet, tables, chairs, working in the garden, decorating the whole place so it could look like a hostel. After that, I did almost all the tasks needed in a hostel along with my sister, as the place was small, so I didnt need to hire anybody, just a couple of times, I was in charge of managing the budgets, financial plans, creating and applying a marketing strategy to promote the hostel’s services and amenities. I had the Front-of-house responsabilities (reception, concierge, and reservations), I needed to welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms, deal with external parties...

Basically, I'm good at:
Repairs, painting, decorating, cleaning, working with clients, cooking, I have a dog and I love them, so I can take care of dogs too. Taking care of elderly, kids.
I also worked in a restaurant as a waitress, saleswoman, and as an administrative assistant in pfizer.

I have done workaway in a farm, helping with the cattle, sheeps, chickens, the garden, cleaning and cooking in a cafe they had.
Then on my other workaway experience, I helped in the kitchen of a pub, doing pizzas, burgers, and with the cleaning of the whole place. I also did some work in a latin bar as a waitress. After that I worked in a restaurant in Spain, also in the kitchen.

I love to meditate, practice yoga, be sorrounded by nature and everything that could feed my soul, I know the importance of teaching others about this so we could have a better world , that's why I would love to gain more knowledge. Right now I'm taking a yoga certification.
