Hey there :)
My name is Nelli and I am a Swiss University student looking to meet new people around the world ! I’m very sociable and open-minded, so I love being in contact with people with various backgrounds and views. I really enjoy engaging in conversations on various topics but also know when to focus on my assigned work ;)

My friends would describe me as a positive, easy going and creative person. Here are a few facts to get to know me better:

Firstly, I study Business and Marketing in St Gallen, Switzerland and I would love to put my knowledge to good use (social media marketing, customer acquisition processes, brand development etc.)
To finance my studies, I work as a photographer :) Most of my work revolves around taking pictures for brands (jewellery, sustainable clothing brands etc.), events (weddings, birthdays, hotels, club events...) and sports competitions (mostly surfing). I would be thrilled to put my photography and editing skills to your disposition :)

Regarding my other creative skills, I also love writing, making music and I‘m passionate about painting, logo design and doing all sorts of crafts and diy’s

It’s also worth mentioning that I cook a lot at home (especially healthy twists on Italian and French cuisine). Additionally, I’ve already worked in a hotel and restaurant as a waitress/receptionist, so surely that can come in handy ! All in all, I always love to share a good meal and would be more than happy to help with cooking !

I’m detail oriented and good at keeping spaces clean. If I notice the kitchen has some crumbs on the floor for example, I’ll give it a sweep or I’ll put dishes back where they belong.

Another thing to know about me, is that I really enjoy being around children and playing with them or teaching them new skills (such as playing the piano, the guitar, drawing, reading, sports etc.) When I’m around them, I make sure to give them my full attention, be attentive to their needs and make them feel loved and safe. I’m responsible and polyvalent and I can provide excellent references (whether it be teaching or babysitting kids from
various ages) if needed :)

I have worked as a language and sciences teacher throughout my studies and have also taught abroad. I'm experienced with teaching kids aged 2 to 18 as well as adults.
I can teach german, french, english as well as maths or physics.
I have babysat children of various ages and character. I also watched over siblings and even animated children birthdays, so taking care of multiple children at a time is no problem for me :) I have also been an au-pair in Norway and the Netherlands and have done an internship at a nursery back in 2017 in my hometown in Switzerland.

I’ve already volunteered at a few Swiss NGOs (such as Partage, which is a non-profit organisation that focuses on improving the life conditions of the homeless) and have workawayed in the past.

I live and study in Switzerland but I’ve happily spent most of my summers and winters with my mother’s family in Austria, on the countryside. I love animals and feel very concerned about their wellbeing. I am quite familiar with the farm life, especially with horses and dogs.

That being said, I’m a quick learner, so even if there’s a task that needs to be done, that I’m not quite familiar with, a simple explanation will be enough to get me going :) Throughout the years, I have gathered lots of interesting experiences in different domains and would love to expand my knowledge !

I’m a polite and tidy person and think it’s particularly important to leave a place as it was (or even cleaner :p)

NB: One thing you’ll notice if you get to know me, is my collection of ridiculously colored socks - I can’t help it, I’m a sucker for artsy socks (my current favorite is a pair with cute cactuses that wear tiny hats).
