Hey ! I am Laurène a 23 years old speechtherapist student living in the south of France, in Toulouse. I'm a moutain lover as I grew up next to the Pyrenées and I almost learned to walk there. I also have travelled a lot with my parents and my brother and I wish to continue having new kinds of experiences and making new kinds of memories by being a Workawayer. I really enjoy singing, dancing, playing and listening to music. I also love hiking and discovering breathtaking lanscapes or tiny and secret places. When I have free time, I like sewing, embroidering or even knitting, and to a wider extent I really like building or reparing stuffs with my own hands. I am always happy to discover new things from the most elementary ones to the most unusual ones, even more when it's told by passionate folk.
People usually remember me as a smiling and joyful person and I like to describe myself like this too.

My name is Romain Felix. Born in 2000 in Amponville, a tiny country village in the Ile de
France region, my childhood was spent walking in the fields and woods with my friends,
my family and my dogs. As you would have understood it, this undoubtedly has an
influence on my favourite subject in photography: birds and nature landscapes. Photographing these small wild animals is a moment of meeting and sharing. Taking an
interest in what surrounds us, trying to make others more aware of nature, photography is a great way to get away from it all. I'm often accompanied by friends and family, some of them curious, others seasoned ornithologists. I don't make a living from photography, but with time I hope to be able to share my work with others. I'm also in my 6th year of medicine at the Faculty of Toulouse. This is my last year before choosing my speciality. The one I'm most interested in is anesthesia and intensive care. Another of my hobbies is swimming, which I now do purely as a hobby after having competed extensively in my teens. As you'll have understood by now, I'm a bon vivant who enjoys hiking, bivouacking and spending quality time with friends and family.

Quais são suas habilidades?

Laurène : I've discovered the amazing world of workawaying in summer 2022 in Norway with some friends for 1.5 months in two different farms. I had another beautiful experience in Switzerland last summer in a moutain hut for 1 month, working in catering and householding. The times I had there were life changing and I'm wishing to experience this again and again.
Apart from that, I have a small experience in gardening in my mom's garden and woodworking or painting in my dad's shed but I'd be happy to learn new techniques in any field. I can cook, I sometimes sew and generally I love using my hands to create new things or reparing old ones and give them a new life. I have worked a lot with children on summer camps and I always enjoyed it even though it was very tiring.

Romain :
Because of my initial formation, taking care of people, young or old is one of my major skills.
I was a member of an association which aim was tutoring for medical courses.
I worked 2,5 month in a perfume factory where I assembled bottles and packaging and 3 month in a book factory where I filled the racks and prepare the commands.
I also worked as a gardener for several years, where I took care of plantations, mowed the lawns, stored wood, painted the house, and did houseold.
I love cooking, either salted or sweet meals.
I've always had dogs and cats at home so I know how to take care of them.
