I love to learn new things! I am curiously open-minded and love finding beauty in the world. I have a bachelor's degree and have been working part time and raising my kids the past many years. I am looking to combine travel with learning new skills to be more self sufficient and meeting more great people from around the world.

Quais são suas habilidades?

I am a native English speaker, and I have many skills around the house--cleaning, organizing, planning, creativity...basic cooking:-) I have owned a horse most of my life, and took English riding lessons, competing in Equestrian and Hunter classes... so I know my way around a horse and stable. I've had chickens and farmed with my dad when I was younger. In high school I took horticulture and floral design classes. I have worked at a family retail business, restaurants, hospital, hotel, public schools, nursing home, and an e-bay business. I get along with all ages. I am currently working at a historical museum.

I like to make people laugh...I like to stay busy...I'm easygoing and independent. I love to hike or take walks or just be outside. I'm not addicted to my phone or the internet (though they do come in handy), or anything else. I like to paint and make soap, and once...I wrote the FINAL chapter for a community novel hosted by the local library. My most exciting travel adventure has been white water rafting on the Arkansas River in Colorado. My (so far) once in a lifetime trip was 5 weeks in Europe in 2019 going to England, Wales, Ireland, Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, and Germany. I love all the great people I met in those countries. I've also traveled around the USA and hosted students from Brazil and Belgium. I have 4 children--ages 29, 26, 22 and 19; I home schooled them for 16 years. I am ready to get back out in the world... meet new people, find new places and make a positive impact with my workaway hosts.
