I'm Carlos from NYC. On my last birthday, I made a list of "30 things I wanna do before I turn 30" and the top one is to spend time living and learning something new in another country. Right now feels like the perfect time to do that. I have traveled quite a bit and have also been fortunate to volunteer with different organizations and people before and I want to continue doing that. I absolutely love meeting new friends and I'll say "YES" to any new adventures.
I love volunteering and using my skills and energy to make the world slightly better. When I think of all the volunteer experiences I've had, all that comes to my mind is pure joy -- from meeting amazing new people, challenging myself, working with others to achieve something for the good of the environment and community. This is what's motivating me to want to get out and help as much as possible.

I am currently working in software engineering so I am more than happy to share my skills in anything related to computers.
I have some experience with farm work, gardening, cleaning, food donations, working with people in need of immediate help, cooking, and honestly anything manual. I love animals (except snakes) so I can work with them as well. I am very comfortable with new people so I would not mind work that involves working directly with people.

Generally, I am an outdoorsy person. I love to hike, go on walks and spend time outside in nature because of the peace it gives me. If I love also going out to culture events like music performances, trying new foods, exploring new cities and the list goes on. I do not smoke, do drugs, or anything intoxicating. I do not use social media or even understand it.
