Hey! My name is Roland, i'm 23 years old and i'm from Germany.
I visited 11 years a Waldorf School where i had a lot of practical classes like gardening, working with wood, knitting, working, taking care of animals... so i have some basics in how to work in the garden, with animals or work with materials like wood, clay, iron...

After finishing high school i went 2 years on a nursing school so I'm also common to interact with people in all different ages, prepare meals etc. and also to care and take responsibility.

At the moment i´m travelling to learn new skills, develope my social and gardening skills and to discover other cultures, nature and make friends around the world :)

Some facts about me:

- I´m a nature lover. Nature is my second home. I love to hike, camp or do other activities into the nature.
- I´m an uncomplicated vegan :) All i need are vegetabels, fruits, basics like bread, rice, noodles, beans, lentils and some spices. Sometimes also dark choclate :D
- i don´t have a driving licence. But i´m fast by bicycle or in hiking boots ;)
- I love to get outside my comfortzone :) Let´s adventure after working or at the weekend!

I worked many holidays on a organic goat farm so i'm used to work in the barn and with animals
-I worked in two holidays in a bakery
-good gardening skills and some building skills
-Cooking (vegan and non-vegan)
-Experience in Child- and Animalcare
-any other kind of physical work (I have experience in fencing, milking, renovating)
-Interested in permaculture

Anyways i can help wherever help is needed. I'm open-minded for new challenges and i'm learning fast! :)

Ich war zusammen mit Rebecca für vier Wochen bei Sandra, Christoph und den Tieren und hatte eine sehr schöne Zeit.

Jeden Tag haben wir Mittags die Tiere versorgt (gefüttert, ausgemistet, medizinisch versorgt etc.) und hatten währendessen genug Zeit die Tiere kennen zu lernen und eine Beziehung aufzubauen. Alle Tiere sind freundlich gegenüber… read more

I spend two nice weeks at Ankes place.
The daily tasks were almost everyday the same, beginning with cleaning the animal area and stables followed by dog walks and cleaning. In the afternoon we also walked with the blind dog for 2 hours.
During the day we had a lot of breaks and freetime which i used to explore the forest and the village.

Roland is a strong young man. We constantly mixed up his name. He didn't hold that against us ;-) He was very hardworking. Learned very quickly to think independently and prudently. I had 3 amazing weeks with Elin and Thomas. We worked on the roof, around the house and with the animals. I could mostly choose which project I will continue and had also a lot of flexibility when I work.

Roland stayed with us for 3 weeks on our farm here in Sweden. We truly enjoyed having him here and he was super helpful on all of the tasks. He help us fix the roof on the main house, help with general farm maintanance and he cooked really tasty food! :) He worked hard and was always willing to learn something new.

It was a great Workaway Experience with Heike, Martin and the whole family. I stayed 4 weeks in July and enjoyed every day. The communication before I arrive was very easy and fast.
