We are a couple from France, in our fifties, and we took two years off to improve our English, meet people and travel. After raising 4 children, we want to spend some time for ourselves. We have already travelled on our own to a few countries (Ecuador, Madagascar, Europe). We spent last year (2021) in Ireland with workaway, met a lot of interesting people and enjoyed it. So, after a couple months with our family, we've decided to come back in Ireland for a new trip. FULL VACCINATE.

Coming from farming families, we like to be in the nature, to be outside, to garden, DIY and appreciate the simplicity, the exchanges, to meet around a good meal.... Above all, we want to get to know the Irish people and the culture of this country better.

We see this mode of travel as an exchange between the host and ourselves. It has to be pleasant for everyone.

In addition to arms, we can also share with you our knowledge, our know-how, teach you some French recipes, and if you wish, help you in learning French.

We like hiking (we live in the Northern Alps), cycling, having a good time with our family (we have 4 adult children and a granddaughter) and with friends.

I feel very lucky to have hosted Nadine and Serge for the last 3 weeks! They really know how to get on and just get things done! Many thanks to Catherine, Jim and James for their warm Irish welcome. We tended to the garden, the flower beds and cooked in an amazing kitchen. We enjoyed talking to them about their farming activities, tasting a typical Irish dish and going mackerel fishing. The latter will remain an unforgettable memory. We recommend this family.

Staying with Colm was a positive experience. There were many small DIY jobs waiting for us in his house. Our French cooking was appreciated. Just a stone's throw from the beach, we enjoyed the ocean. We also enjoyed the city of Galway. Colm likes to exchange a lot and we learned a lot about the Irish. Thank you for this stay.
