Hi there!

I'm Nienke, 28yrs, and a solo cyclist. I'm cycling around the islands of Sardinia and Corsica in Spring 2022, and I hope to spend some weeks at a workaway place during my travels.

Earlier, I cycled for 11 months with my partner from the Netherlands to India. I love how close I get to the land and people from my bike.

Slow travel for me means to be flexible and to allow time for getting to know a place. Workaway is a perfect way to do so. Since my average day at home back in the Netherlands is mostly spend behind a laptop screen, I am happy to do anything that is physical, outside, and in connection with nature/humans/animals. I'm a amateur gardener who has experience in organic gardening. I would love to help out in gardening, tending animals, and building projects.

My personality is calm, observant, curious, kind and creative. I am very adaptive and will do my best to fit in to your place. I am used to living simple.

I'm mostly a quick learner, and hard worker. What I have experience with:

- (Organic) gardening
- Fruitpicking/processing
- Laying terraces
- Simple DIY things such as painting and basic carpenting skills
- Vegetarian/vegan cooking
