Kylian is a nice young man. He is courteous, polite and friendly. Happy to help out when needed. He is also very quiet and enjoys his time alone. He helped move heavy equipment, launch boats and aid customers with their luggage. It was a pleasure to host him.

Our experience on Galiano was nothing short of wonderful, a magical place with lots to learn from Brenda and Fritz. The work was diverse and mostly a lot of fun, and having flexible hours meant got to experience the island. Don't hesitate to go and experience the beauty of Galiano and the generosity of these two wonderful people

I had an unforgettable stay with Béa and Marc in Saint-Paul-lès-Romans 🌻. Them both, their family and their friends integrated me and made me feel completely at home instantly. Their kindness, humor, and generosity created the perfect environment for a genuine cultural exchange and meaningful connection. During my stay, I took part in a variety of activities: restoring an antique wooden clock cabinet, deep cleaning cupboards, furniture, and shared spaces, painting walls and openings in the guest house, and helping with daily cooking and household tasks. Outdoors, I helped mow the lawn, weed, clean the henhouse, work on the compost, and cut firewood among many other activities. The work was never heavy or hard — just enjoyable and satisfying, especially with good weather and great company. Beyond the work itself, this experience was full of learning and discovery. I learned how to make rhubarb crumble, jam, and brioche bread 🍞 (and so, so, so many other tasty recipes together with Bea!). We shared and cooked delicious French meals together, always full of flavor and fragrances. If you’re looking for true immersion in the French language and culture, this is the place — you’ll speak, eat, and live like a local. Life at Béa and Marc’s is filled with curiosity and creativity: we listened to beautiful French music while working, filling the house with musical vibes every day. I even learned my first steps in machine sewing with Béa and made a lovely souvenir to take with me 🪡. We cycled through La Drôme des Collines 🚲, visited local fairs and markets, and even attended a sheep shearing performed by a friend of the family (thanks Jessi!) — such a unique experience! Béa became a real friend! Funny, spontaneous, and full of energy, with a great sense of humor and so much to teach. Marc is wise, calm, and incredibly knowledgeable about agriculture, society, building, and many other topics. They will include you in their friends’ and family’s plans, giving you the chance to meet wonderful people and share unforgettable moments together. You’ll eat incredibly well, feel part of their circle, and discover the charm of Saint-Paul-lès-Romans and nearby towns. A bicycle is available for your own adventures around the area. Thank you, Béa and Marc, for the laughter, the lessons, and the unforgettable moments. You’re truly special people ❤️. P.S. : Je penserai toujours à mettre le « pull » dans la machine à laver, mais les « poules ». Et j’espère que tu ne trouveras plus de crevettes dans la cuisine 😬

I felt like La Palma changed me and my outlook on life. Stephan was a big part of that because he gave me so much input. He inspired me with his personality, in permaculture, in self sufficiency and many more things imaginable. I was able to take a lot from our conversations. The work was fun and varied. Stephan took me seriously and dealt with me openly and honestly. His finca evoked absolute peace in me and is a treasure on Isla Bonita. Untouched nature and a beautiful view of the sunset. Thank you, Stephan.

Suri stayed with us for a month and brought a very appreciated amount of calm and creativity to our family and our cocreation farm! Throughout her stay she invited for a series of creative and culinary korean workshops for families, and they were all very valuable! The workshops were well prepared and her background in art, education and mindfulness shone through in all of them! I personally really appreciated the intriguing mix of playfulness, creativity and intercultural exchange! And all of the participants really enjoyed them! I can whole-heartedly recommend Suri, both as a creative facilitator, and as a kind kind and courageous human! We are very thankful for all that Suri contributed, and hope to welcome her back one day for a new round of Suri-infused workshops!

Milania and Mason stayed from September 10 to September 27. They were a big help in the garden. Mason trimmed all the trees and bushes exactly as I asked him to. Milania collected and shredded the branches. It was a real team work. They were respectful, precise, and cheerful. We were able to discuss many topics After this Workaway, they wanted to go to Thailand and Japan. I would be delighted to welcome them again and highly recommend them.

Simon was a delight to host. At first we weren't sure how he would work out. Simply due to his age. Boy were we surprised. He turned out to be an excellent worker. He was ready to help with any job and took pride in his accomplishments. He was a real asset around the lodge. Friendly with guests and staff alike. He was also quite entertaining with his stories. We wish him well!

Melinda came to me on 02.09-25 for workaway tasks and from the beginning we got on very well. She was a great help to me. Together we cleaned the yard and inside she cleaned the weekly cleaning so meticulously that it reminded me of Christmas cleaning every time. We started already at breakfast by singing old schlagers that were played every day. Melinda knew everything about music and movies. I didn't have to google she was a complete knowledge bank. I took care of the food and Melinda took care of the other household tasks. #redacted# We agreed with Melinda that she would come to me again next spring for workaway tasks. We still had so much to experience together in our free time. I can warmly recommend her for these tasks.

Sorry for the late feedback! Caitlin and Pedro are great hosts, I really enjoyed my stay there! The work wasn't really hard as I mostly had to go walk the dogs 🐕 It's a bit difficult to earn there trust the first days but with a bit of patience and lot of galletas, we became good friends! It is the perfect place for nature and animals lovers ❤️ The place is usually quiet and peaceful, and I had a lot of free time to enjoy the river, go hiking ( I could even bring the dogs to have company ☺️), and go on different activities ( Vilcabamba is small but there is always a lot happening!) Caitlin and Pedro always made sure I had everything I needed, I'm grateful I could met this two beautiful souls ❤️ Thank you for having me at your place, un abrazo fuerte! ❤️🤗

We spent 3 weeks with Keltie, Paul, Nancy and Doug and it was a nice experience! There was a great mix of hard work, good food, and good company. We had our a private room with a bathroom and we all ate lunch and dinner together. This gave us a nice opportunity to share life experiences. The meals were delicious: homemade and often straight from their own garden. The tasks were varied, ranging from helping to build the greenhouse to cleaning around the house, so it never felt repetitive. They kindly lent us bikes and it only took about 10 minutes to reach downtown Victoria. We also had access to a rowboat, a paddleboard and canoes. It was fun, as there was direct access to the gorge right from their backyard!

Tom and Jakob join us for several weeks near the end of our season. They are both very strong and in excellent physical shape. They worked very hard without complaining when it came to heavy jobs such as discarding shingles from a new roof and cutting firewood. Their IT knowledge was very helpful in properly setting up our internet system. We are very grateful for their assistance and wish them well.

We had a really enjoyable stay here house sitting for Nadini and her little dog Shake. Nadini is a great host she communicated well and always answered any of our questions. When we arrived she had bought us some lunch already prepared so its safe to say we felt very at home. Their apartment is in an amazing location less than a 10 minute walk into the downtown and close to all the main tourist attractions. Looking after Shake was also a lot of fun as he is a very sweet little doggie. When they returned from their trip we shared a lovely meal together and they are all so extremely friendly! We wish we could have stayed longer to have gotten to know Nadini and her family better but we are so grateful for the experience nonetheless and we would recommend for anyone to stay here!

This experience changed my life. Vicky and Jacky were perfect hosts, they took care of me and made me feel extremely welcome in their home. Arusha is a really cool town and I had a great time exploring with Vicky. The school is wonderful, such happy, sweet children who just want to play together non stop. and are keen to learn. The other staff at school are very welcoming and happy for help. There are wild chameleons (kinyonga) in the hedges and they're really cool. I can't wait to see how the school improves under Vicky's leadership and I will DEFINITELY be back.
