We had the wonderful opportunity to host Aki for around three weeks, and it was truly an amazing experience. He was a huge help with coaching the older boys, who absolutely loved him and enjoyed every part of their soccer training sessions with him. I never had to worry whenever I was away I was confident that everything was in good hands. Aki was always punctual and dedicated during training, and the boys really appreciated the new techniques and skills he introduced. The girls also loved having him around! He has such a warm personality and a great voice, and we all enjoyed the Kiwi games and fun evenings we shared together. Beyond coaching, Aki was always willing to lend a hand with household chores like cooking chapati and helping around the house such a kind and thoughtful person. The boys already miss him and keep asking when he’s coming back. They can’t wait to have him again to continue with the training. We were so sad when he left and even tried to come up with reasons to make him extend his stay! But we’re happy that he accepted our request to join us again around December and continue with the coaching. We also miss his Kenyan dancing moves and the boys can’t stop laughing about his funny but caring technique of serving food to everyone, making sure there was always enough for all of us. Aki, you’ll always have a family here, your home away from home. You’re welcome back anytime! 🌍⚽💛

Johnny showed good intentions and did some valuable work. His comunication skills and showing up for scheduled meetings should improve though in order to guarantee a harmonious living together. I wish him the best of luck in the future.

Yuri has been a fantastic helper , precise, proactive, independent and reliable, very good company, curious and clever person. he helped a lot with the garden maintenance and other related chores around the house. Pity it has been a short stay but that was because of my schedule. Thank you Yuri, you know you are always welcome here, also your house :-)

Marina has been with us at home for 10 days, and she has been a fantastic match for our family. She showed genuine care for our daughters and took great responsibility around the house. Her independence is something we truly appreciated, and she was also flexible and accommodating to our family's needs with ease and grace. Friendly, smart, resourceful, observant, helpful, and careful—what more could we ask for? If you have the opportunity to host her, don’t hesitate for a moment. She will be an excellent fit.

Yuka was a very easy guest to have around. She is discreet, thoughtful and helpful. Her work was to help in the garden, plenty was achieved, we are pleased and she seemed to enjoy it. Yuka is a professional photographer and took excellent photos for our future use and also taught us basic principles of digital photography. She doesn't really speak English but ably manages with the help of AI! However, Yuka should improve her English before future travel to fully enjoy its benefits. Alana is a kind hearted & a happy-go-lucky soul. We all felt elated by hosting her. She stayed with us for two weeks and kids were too happy to have her company as a volunteer. Her jolly nature also made her popular in our neighborhood and people and other children too became her friends. She is a hard worker and a good planner. She along with another volunteer put great efforts for learning of students through creative activities and other sports. We are still in touch with her and hope she comes again one day for another enriching experience :)

We stayed with Nicole for 10 days and the experience was overall really good. Its a bit of a challenge getting to Portsea if you don't have a car, but the area is really worth is, with amazing beaches and coastal landscapes. From the moment we arrived Nicole made us feel very welcoming and trusted, and the room we had was very comfortable. Unfortunatly, because of personal reasons, she wasn't around that much, but her cuddly cat, Mila, and the kookaburras in the garden were able to keep us company! The work was relatively laid back (mostly weeding and cleaning) and we had a lot of freedom to choose when we worked. We would very much recommend this host if you're looking for a chill beachside address away from the big city of Melbourne!

My stay with the lovely family of Marylis was a truly sublime experience! From the warm and genuine welcome to the family meals, the beautiful animals, and the trips to the beach — everything was simply wonderful. The property is unique and a joy to explore, and working with the cows, horses, and goats (my favorites! :D ) was especially rewarding. Marylis also has a very kind dog and a beautiful cat with the perfect name, Ninja. The whole family was kind, welcoming, and supportive from the very beginning. The two kids are full of energy and always eager to play — and to challenge my French skills even more than usual! The parents, Marylis and her husband Jean-Christophe, are very skilled in their crafts and were always happy to share their knowledge and involve me in their daily work and weekend activities. They made sure I always felt comfortable and part of the family. The work itself was interesting and varied — I learned how to use new tools and even learned to drive a tractor! I had a lot of freedom in organizing my working hours, and the workload was always fair and manageable. Even though there was a small language barrier at times, both speak English, and whenever my French wasn’t enough, we always managed to communicate just fine. Overall, I had a fantastic time and can only recommend this place to anyone who enjoys family life, nature, and animals. Staying here truly feels like becoming part of a new family — every one of the four family members is absolutely wonderful. Special thanks to Marylis and Jean-Christophe for the amazing experience, their endless generosity and for their patience with my French! :)

Ansh was very helpful during his staying, he’s very good at cooking he adapts quickly about the environment and the task. We are so grateful and also we learned so much from him and his culture.

Welcoming Enzo was a real pleasure. He's not only reliable, polite, clean, easy to communicate with and respectful, but also very friendly and passionate. In fact, we ended up becoming friends. Also, if you give him recommendations, it will probably not be useless as he will surely make a good use of it :) Enzo, you are definitely welcome the next times you come to Tokyo, where you still have much to discover. As for now, all the best for your next adventures in Japan!

Cezar is a very quiet but also sociable person. He helped us with all kind of gardening tasks, construction, cooking and cleaning. We do recommend him.

Lili has been an execellent co-worker for us. She always followed the rules and quickly built a good relationship with the rest of the staff. She was always cheerful and kind to everyone and proved to be a hard worker. Thank you Lili.

We loved our Workaway at Ivor's house! He is the most welcoming host with a big heart and goes out of his way to make you feel at home and introduce this beautiful part of Croatia. Taking us on wonderful sea swims, mountain climbs and city visits we gained so many unique experiences within a short time. The work was arranged well and together we achieved a lot, with plenty of time off, lovely meals shared taking turns cooking, with lots of talk and laughter. Ivor's house is an exciting and unique project, and we feel proud to be a small part of helping him with this. We are really sad having to continue our travels but so happy to have gained new friends, and to have experienced such generous hospitality and beautiful landscape. 200% recommend!

We had a wonderful two-week stay with this lovely family. From day one they made us feel welcome and at home in their beautifully home and their converted school bus, which was cozy, clean, and surprisingly spacious. The work was very pleasant and well organized mostly looking after their sweet son, Felix, and cooking meals for everyone. Communication was easy, expectations were clear, and we always felt trusted and appreciated. In our free time we explored the gorgeous nature all around -perfect for walks, day trips. We highly recommend having a car, as there is no public Transport in the area. All in all, a warm, genuine Workaway experience with a kind family, would happily return and definitely recommend!

What a joy it was to host these two lovely people! They are hardworking, honest, and always ready to help with love and care. They listen attentively, are very respectful of the space, and bring calm, positive energy wherever they go. We shared so much time together — full of laughter, deep conversations, and fun moments! They arrived without a set plan for how long to stay and ended up spending a month and a half with us. They mainly helped with building a dry-stone wall and renovating an old camper, and everything they did was carried out with dedication and great spirit. Above all, we didn’t just have amazing volunteers — we gained two dear friends. We’re sure our paths will cross again! If they reach out to you — don’t hesitate, just say yes! 🌿

Piotr and Yo welcomed me with such warmth and kindness. I was their first Workaway guest, but everything was very well organized, and they made me feel completely at home. My main task was gardening — planting bulbs, weeding, and enjoying the garden together. Piotr taught me a lot about plants and often shared both jokes and kind words of appreciation. Living with such a thoughtful and loving couple made every day feel peaceful. Yo and Piotr’s homemade meals were delicious — healthy, full of love, and truly comforting. I also learned some simple pilates exercises from Yo, who is a former ballerina and now a pilates instructor. The house was spotless, cozy, and beautifully kept. I also appreciated their help with my Warsaw trip and many other things — they were always generous and caring. I truly recommend them to anyone interested in mindful living, plants, and healthy food. It was an inspiring and heartwarming stay! 🌿

I had a wonderful week with Jane in her beautiful home. I really enjoyed her cooking, her stories, and hearing about her philosophy on life. I appreciated the schedule of three 8-hour workdays followed by four full days off — it allowed me to focus fully on work and then have time for all-day adventures during my days off. I’d definitely recommend staying with Jane, and I’d be happy to stay again myself!

I stayed here from September 12th to October 12th, 2025, and it was an unforgettable experience. The school is located on a beautiful island surrounded by calm nature and the sea. During my stay, I joined various school activities and events together with students and teachers. Every day was different — sometimes helping in classes, other times joining trips or creative workshops. It was a wonderful way to experience the unique after school culture in Denmark. What impressed me the most was the island’s beauty, the warmth of the local people, and the honesty and openness of the students. I also met amazing fellow Workawayers, and we shared so many fun and meaningful moments together. The teachers and staff were incredibly kind and welcoming from the very first day. Thank you so much to everyone for making me feel part of the community — your kindness truly touched my heart. I highly recommend this Workaway to anyone interested in education, youth culture, or slow island life. This is not just a place to work — it’s a place to connect, learn, and grow.
