I was so happy to have Maya and Manish around, they worked so hard and took all the initiatives, which I really appreciated at that moment as I was very taken by other things! Everything was impeccable, they never left a job unfinished and they got along beautifully with the other volunteers! Maya is calm and composed, she listens carefully to everything and then doesn't forget a thing. She is gentle and kind and so is Manish, I am very grateful for having had them around, I warmly reommend Maya to any other host!

I had a special time during my stay. I had never seen such a beautiful view in this place. I was really moved when I saw the sky and the forest from the window. Maarten is a great chef. I was always looking forward to having supper every day. Also thanks to Maarten, Karen and their daughters, I enjoyed exciting holidays. Spending time with their daughters, such as dancing, cycling and skating, was precious time for me. I am happy to have such a wonderful friends in Sweden. I am really happy to meet you!!

This company is the most unique and special project I have come across. Working with them not only taught me so much about accessibility in Medellin but it also welcomed me into a family. I will be forever grateful for this opportunity and recommend it to anyone that has a lot of love to give but doesn’t know where to put it. You won’t regret it and I’m sure you will struggle to leave like me.

Mauro, il apprend vite, mais vraiment vite, vous lui montrez une fois comment faire, comment ça marche, et le temps de le laisser prendre ses marques, il passe de débutant à expert comme s’il l’avait toujours fait. L’horloge a vécu une cure de jeunesse entre ses mains. Mauro, il est attentif, soigneux, minutieux, vous pouvez lui confier vos outils, il va les utiliser les nettoyer les ranger mieux que vous, le tracteur tondeuse fut manié avec dextérité et précision, pas de casse, pas de fleurs abimées. Mauro, il a conservé de son ancien métier (ressource humaine) un savoir-faire pour parler aux poules « Les poules vous vivez dans de bonnes conditions, paille propre, bonne nourriture, eau fraîche, vous êtes 3, je veux 3 œufs tous les jours …si non…. Mauro aime la vie par tous les sens, c’est un nez, un palais, il s’extasie sur une odeur euh pardon un parfum, un gout, non ! une saveur, mais aussi un paysage, une ambiance, une énergie. Il est curieux et a une grande soif d’apprendre, c’est un plaisir que de lui transmettre le peu que l’on connaisse Mauro, il s’adapte à tout, il s’adapte à vous, plus vous partagez, plus il va donner ; il est incroyablement riche de ses aventures de pays en pays, d’expérience en expérience, de rencontre en rencontre. Mauro c’est ici est maintenant, il partage tout ce qui se présente, les bons moments, les belles discussions, les doutes, les questionnements… Mauro c’est un cadeau de la vie. Il est resté chez nous presque un mois, bien trop peu mais suffisamment pour découvrir une belle personne et tisser un lien fort

We hard a great time with Sofia at our children school for almost two weeks where she helping with teaching, childcare and school arrangements. She is a proactive and supportive person to be hosted by any future host who is in need of assistance with the school children and community. Was very pleasure to host her.

I had such a wonderful time staying with Siri! She is an excellent host — incredibly kind, generous, and always looking out for her volunteers. She constantly made sure we had way too much food and even took us out for meals, to a local temple, and to the hot springs. The work itself is very relaxed and enjoyable. We taught children aged roughly 4–10 years old. Siri noticed that I especially loved working with the youngest kids, so she mostly had me teach them. I also ran a cupcake-baking class, which the kids absolutely loved, and we did lots of fun arts and crafts together. It’s best to come with a flexible, go-with-the-flow attitude since class sizes and ages can vary each day, but that’s part of what makes it so fun. The town where Siri lives is great — quiet, safe, and very relaxed. There’s plenty of free time to explore, visit cafes, get a massage, or do a little shopping (everything is really affordable, including transport). The accommodation is clean and comfortable, and I always felt at home. Overall, I highly recommend this Workaway! Siri is one of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet, and I’m so grateful for my time with her. I wish her all the best in everything she does.

Miriam is very fun loving and outgoing. She really worked hard to open herself to new experiences, possibilities and ways of thinking. my children enjoyed her banter, and she helped me to hold them to their growth and responsibilities as well. Miriam was high energy and a huge help around the house, which enabled me to get caught up on a lot of work myself. Whenever she saw me doing something she was eager to lend a hand. We also enjoyed a some really good meals she made. My teenage boy was all over her cuisine, it was such a Trea for me to take a break in the kitchen, and I know my kids were grateful to get some variety. Thank You Miriam!

after reading Stephan’s profile, we reached him out … He came at home …and he was the So good surprise of the Automn !! .. His personality is really pleasant : friendly, he was interested by our situation and thanks to a long experience, he shared good and practical advises.. Our place, style and back grounds weren’t surely his , but he adapted so easily.. even to make a tough job for 2 days .. and really autonomus and volunteer , he saw tasks we didn’t expect him to do .. and thanks to his skills , he solved practical problems that were on since many weeks … So yes , you can host him with «  Closed eyes » - from thé french expression - … and you will be lucky to have him at home !!… So long Stephan ..🌞

Karin took loving care of our dogs and kids for many weeks. She was flexible, available and has a caring and positive attitude. She also took great care of our home and helped with all the back and forth of family life. I would trust Karin again with my home and children and she is welcome back in our family any time.

Sarah stayed for a few weeks in Spring time and made preparing for summer a breeze. She is smart, keen, and very kind. She got along with everybody here and chipped in diligently with all manner of tasks. She even cooked a couple of sublime meals for everyone. I had some great chats with Sarah and find it hard to believe she's only 20 years old. She has wisdom far beyond her years. I can't recommend her highly enough ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🏆

Before Arjen’s arrival, I explained that the main tasks would be digging for tree planting and creating a new vegetable bed, which would be hard physical work. Although he said he enjoyed this kind of work, he didn’t begin these tasks and spent the majority of his time weeding. There was also some misunderstanding over days off, as the work done wasn’t quite what I had expected, I hadn’t realised the week had already passed. The surprise tidy he gave the kitchen was much appreciated, as were the meals he cooked as part of his contribution towards the communal living with the other volunteer and myself. The stay ended a little early due to an uneasy atmosphere, but I wish Arjen the best in finding placements that suit him well.

Hosting Junko has been a fantastic experience for Toni and I. Junko is a lovely person with great work ethics. Toni and I had a wonderful time with Junko and she cooked us some amazing Japanese food 😊. Toni and I highly recommend Junko and we are looking forward to hosting Junko again in the future, we sincerely thank you Junko for all the work you did for us it is very much appreciated 😊.

It was my first workaway in Peru and I could not have wished for a better place to stay. The first contact I had was with Nikkie and it was super easy to talk with her. She was reactive, clear, and nice. Then, in Urubamba Emily, Angus and Charol are here to make everyone confortable. The place is nice, there is everything you need to live with comfort. The dogs are adorable, it was hard to leave without taking one with me. My time at the shelter made me meet so many incredible people and learnt new skills like making bread, haha ! I am grateful for the time that I spend there. Thank you for everything guys !!

I spend 10 wonderful days with Roberto! He was always there for me and is such a wonderful person. I got a lot time for myself and enjoying the nature around. I had a beautiful stay! Would definitely recommend!!🌞

Carolain & Brayan were great workawayers and lovely guests. I was very happy with their work and enjoyed their company. We shared cooking so I got to to try some of their favourite Chilean dishes including picarones - pumpkin donuts that are then soaked in a syrup, and beef empanadas.

I have no words to describe my time here. I spent 1 month volunteering and I met so many amazing people who really care about making a difference to people's lives! The work that it provides on camp (water points, hot showers, charging, food) is so essential and helps restore some dignity to people in an unjust and difficult situation. I couldn't imagine the camp without the services they provide, and I'm so grateful for my time there - I will definitely be back. I cannot recommend volunteering here enough !!

Gaetano and Celeste are a lovely pair and we are very sad to see them go! From the moment they arrived, they rolled up their sleeves and cooked beautiful meals for us, connected with the family and got stuck into a range of jobs – decluttering, gardening, irrigation, dog care/walking, deep cleaning, playing games with the children, helping with online selling – honestly, just about everything! We have accomplished A LOT with their huge contribution in a fairly short period of time. Most importantly, they are kind, good hearted, relaxed and caring people with a genuine desire to help, to do good work and leave things in A1 condition when they leave. Incredible work ethic and a pleasure to host. Thank you so much Celeste and Gaetano, we wish you a safe and exciting time for the next chapter of your adventure and you are welcome to come and stay again if you pass through Melbourne! Bastian and Diana were amazing hosts during my travels in Germany this summer. I spent about 2 weeks with them and felt immediately welcomed in every way. They graciously accommodated my needs regarding heavy lifting and personal preferences and allowed me plenty of time to work online and have my personal space. My work for them was mainly communicating with the family in English and cooking a family meal five days a week, normally at mid day. I introduced them to American foods and a bit of Mexican cuisine, easy on the spices, LOL. They graciously met me at the train station and immediately ordered Doner for dinner. I always felt part of the family and very welcomed in their beautiful home. I was always invited to village activities and we had many wonderful conversations together. I had a private bedroom, full access to their beautiful kitchen, and was even taken to the supermarket to get things that I enjoyed. I have to say that is a kind and generous family and I highly recommend them as hosts. They were always willing to include me in things or to allow me to have my own time if I needed it and I really appreciated that. I enjoyed cooking for them every day and their pantry is amazing! Thank you so much for hosting me and picking me up and dropping me off to the train station. You are truly kind lovely people. Sorry for the late review -- I was here in Summer of 2025.

Leonie was a gift for us at just the right time. She stayed with us for 2 months and was hard working and happy to pitch in and help with anything we asked of her and was always keen to learn and experience new things. Leonie was a terrific house guest and went over and above to help and contribute to our day to day farm and family tasks. She became like family and we would welcome her back any time!
