We are so thankful that Zane came to stay with us. We have had many people helping with home renovations, but none were as hard-working as Zane. During her time with us, she built a solid, professional-quality retaining wall, set up a building layout, and poured pier footings for a new shed. We are confident that she could tackle any project given to her. Beyond working hours, Zane was a genuine pleasure to have around, and her presence brought great energy to our space. Our kids love her. We can’t recommend her highly enough!

My experience started at the Jaisalmer train station where Manish came to receive me so I wouldn’t be lost and scared in and unfamiliar place in the middle of the night. As a female traveling alone, that meant the world to me and made me feel really safe and taken care of. The villa itself is absolutely divine- the heavenly scent of lemongrass and stunning details poured into every inch…the cleanliness the vibes.. everything feels so so good. The room is spacious, large and private and both Deepak and Manish are truly beautiful human beings. The amount of times that I cried from gratitude for following my heart and finding myself here! My work mainly focused on preparing for the season- organizing, cleaning, planning and basically moving with the flow of needs as they came up. Manish and Deepak were super flexible and we worked very well together- there would be tasks that needed to get done and I was trusted to complete them. Everything always felt fair and like we were family working together to make this place a beautiful sanctuary for our guests. I had breakfast and lunch provided for me everyday which was tasty and nutritious and had access to a kitchen that I could use to make anything my heart desired. Coming here was a huge blessing and I will forever be thankful for the kindness, experience, and genuine connections I was able to make with both the hosts and the people in the neighborhood. Thank you !!! Pure magic.

I stayed with Marie for 5 days in her beautiful home and it was a truly delightful experience. This was my first time staying with a workaway host and I’m so glad it was with Marie, she has set the standard very high! From the moment I arrived, Marie welcomed me with open arms and made a delicious lunch. Throughout my stay we practiced yoga and Metta meditation, cooked for each other and connected over music, travelling and telling each other about our families. Marie’s calm, caring and curious nature made it very easy to strike up a conversation and I felt a genuine connection to her and the idyllic lifestyle she leads. We walked around the co-housing community Marie is a part of and in that short walk you could feel the sense of togetherness and care from both Marie and her neighbours. It has made me want to join a co-housing community asap! Each day had a very clear structure of completing some cleaning jobs around the house and then having down time in the afternoon to relax. Marie would very kindly offer to go on walks, go apple picking or take me to the neighbouring towns Volksdorf and Ahrensburg where we would go shopping together and enjoy an ice cream! This experience has instilled confidence, happiness and a sense of peace I haven’t felt in a long time and that is thanks to Marie. She radiates so much warmth, kindness and stability and I hope she knows how grateful I am for her hospitality. Thank you for the stories, beautiful German food and for inviting me into your home!

It was my first experience with Workaway, and it couldn’t have gone better. The hostel is welcoming, clean, and well-organized, and the work is simple and enjoyable. The owners are always available, ready to help, and happy to give you tips about the area. I immediately felt like part of the family. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and enriching experience.

This is a bit of a late review for Levken but we really wanted to take the time to still write it as it was so nice to have her stay with us during the summer. We loved how Levken was always up for adventure and good conversations! She was always respectful of our home and she fit right in quickly. Levken is gentle and kind, the way that she continues to work on her personal growth is encouraging! Levken was very flexible and willing to do a large variety of tasks within the garden and home. We appreciated how she was very good at communicating with us about her work hours and what she was able to accomplish as we were not always available to be around during this time. Thank you so much for all that you contributed. We would very much recommend Levken to anyone considering her as a work-away! You are missed Levken, we wish you the absolute best in your next life adventures!

You guys were amazing!!!! I enjoyed showing you around and going for a long drive one day. Will not forget Lucas struggling to get through his double scoop ice cream. Lots of people are commenting on how lovely the Tulips, along the road, are. You both put in some time weeding along there and I will be forever grateful. It was good to have you in the house as you kept things clean and I had fun playing the French card game with you. Enjoy the rest of your stay in NZ and have fun.

We were so blessed to get to visit this little slice of Heaven in Norway. Upon arrival we realized that it would be a beautiful and chill place to be, work, learn and live together. Anna and Alberto are loving, grounded and just fantastic people that were quite busy but still made sure we had what we needed and felt welcome. There were a few others there with us (sometimes two, sometimes many more!) that just made the whole experience amazing. The beautiful land, tipi, nearby lake all surrounded by forests- its just a paradise. We helped however we could (cooking, cleaning, taking down the bell tents, some building and prep for an event) in a relaxed (like, super chill) environment. There were other kids around, which we loved. Spirituality. Music. Nature. Community. We miss the place already. And really feel like we've made connections that have changed our lives for the better and we would love to come back one day.

Jean-Luc is an incredibly kind and thoughtful host. He is focused on creating a genuine community and a slower pace of life in Corréze and you have the opportunity to truly become a part of this when you come stay with him. In the morning, we go to the village together and buy breakfast at the boulangerie and cafe. Here, you can meet Jean-Luc's friends and the other townsfolk and have some good conversation while enjoying the morning together. When we return home, we prepare lunch together, usually a simple vegetarian meal with local, organic produce. The afternoon tasks vary, we've done all sort of things here from chopping and storing firewood, to planting trees and placing mulch around young trees, to gathering chestnuts at a friend's farm, to working on renovations on the old farmhouse. Jean-Luc is great at explaining how and why things work, especially when it comes to subjects like biodiversity. It's good to have a sense of purpose behind what you are doing and leaves us with a sense of accomplishment. On the weekends, we usually visit one of the beautiful nearby villages or maybe a local festival together, or you are free to spend time alone and rest however much you need. If you receive an invitation from Jean-Luc, don't hesitate to say yes! This is a true cultural exchange with the opportunity to become a part of a local community and do some meaningful and impactful work in one of the most beautiful areas of France. Merci beaucoup, Jean-Luc!!

Hey! it was a great time with Elios at the villa! a beautiful piece of paradise just a few minutes from the sea) Elios can show and tell a lot about local entertainment, so this experience was unforgettable! I was happy to join in. We were mainly engaged in repairs and construction of new structures (including building a fence) and took care of the animals a little. it was a great time in great company! thank you, see you 😉

I had a great time with Tonje and the fluffybutts. I was staying over the month of September- and I can guarantee that it is a great month if you desire to experience moose with all of your 5 senses... haha Tonje is one of a kind, and her place is awesome. And the Fluffybutts.. well, you'll get to know them, and each one is special. They all got right to my heart. It was truly sad to leave and I'm already missing :-)

It was truly an incredible experience, without a doubt one of my best volunteer stays. Michèle is a fair, passionate and admirable woman, with an immense love for animals — both cats and dogs. She gives her heart and soul to them every single day, never counting the hours. She doesn’t have a real day off, yet she’s always there — morning to evening — caring for every animal with patience, courage and tenderness. I’m honestly in awe of this woman. Her strength, kindness and dedication really touched me. Even though my English isn’t perfect, Michèle always took the time to help me, explain things, and even brought someone to translate for me when needed. She has this rare ability to make everyone feel included, no matter the language. The animals are all adorable, affectionate and full of personality. You get attached to them so quickly! They’re all amazing and deserve so much love. You can truly feel that Michèle gives them what’s most precious — attention, respect and a lot of heart. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Michèle, for your warm welcome, your energy, and for letting me live this beautiful experience with you and your animals — even with my little English. I’m leaving with a full heart, and I sincerely hope to come back next year. 🐾

We were so lucky to stay with Inga, Raggi and their nice family for a month. They are really friendly and make you feel at home from day one. We got to experience the life of an icelandic farm, and even got to see the tradional sheep herding - which was something we really wanted to. It can be hard work, but they let you help with anything and are very open! You don't have to be experienced because they will teach you everything you need to know! We got an experience for a life time and we are truely greatfull for all the things we got to do: We had a day with the local community and the sheep's, we learned a lot about the country and farm life, and we even got to cuddle with some cute cows and dogs. If you want to experience the life of an icelandic farm family, we really recommend these sweet people!!

Tomas is an excellent host with a very warm heart, he has built a house in the mountains far far away from civilization where you can slow down your pace and really enjoy your time. The conversations we had were often deeply spiritual but there was also laughter and healing through sharing our life stories. Waking up every morning to the spectacular views, you feel totally free from life's obligations. It is a calm and peaceful environment where you can meditate for hours. The work we did was physical however we never did more than a few hours and Tomas is very easy going allowing us to work as much or as little as we desired, furthermore Tomas is always in the kitchen cooking up incredible Dominican dishes which he makes with love. He is a passionate and talented cook with Italian level hospitality! We made strong friendships together, along with all of his animals... Nino Bueno & Sombra fell completely in love with me and I will miss them deeply! It is a completely unique and special place where I hope to return. Thank you Tomas for everything, it has been a highlight of my trip to the Dominican Republic and one of the best workaway experiences ever! P.S That dance performance from George! How fortunate we both are to have witnessed something so transandentally spectacular! This is a top 5 life moment for sure and a memory I will keep forever. I am glad to have shared this with you. So special. Much love!!

my time on the farm with Sebastian was incredible. He did everything possible to help myself and my friend feel comfortable and welcome. The property itself is beautiful, with many nice walks and rivers to explore on days off. Thr house has an area seperate for volunteers meaning that I could have my own space to relax and work when I wanted. The work itself was very interesting and the hours not too demanding. I learn a lot about the process of making coffee and Sebastian also taught me lots of Spanish along the way. could not recommend this experience highly enough for other volunteers. Thank you again Sebastian for such an amazing experience, I hope I can come back one day.

Dennis spent a week in the village and proved to be a truely warmhearted easygoing person. He´s got a positive spirit and never hesitated to help me with the things I needed help with, for instance digging up and moving plants. The absolutely biggest heroic deed though was that he managed to put in an immense quantity of firewood to the shed. Wiii-hooo, now we can safely wait for winter to arrive :) Both of Dennis two dogs are nice and friendly personalities and are well taken care of. What more to add? Since this little "team" is moving on for future experiences I wish them the best of luck. Thanks for considering staying a period in Näsåker - I hope you´ll get a wonderful winter further north!

I really enjoyed my time with Linda, Fraya, Vali and Angus and felt very comfortable there. I lived with them for over a month and was welcomed into their family like one of their own. They told me a lot about Australia and its culture, and in return I helped them with household chores and tasks around the house and their farm. I especially enjoyed painting, doing crafts and playing ball games with Fraya and Vali. We often went to the farm, which was very nice and gave me a different impression. The division of tasks was really fair and I was always able to do the things I enjoyed most, such as baking. Linda and her family are very warm hearted and open minded people and I am very grateful for my time in Bairnsdale. I gained a lot of experience which I will keep forever. :)
