Kitti and Lazslo were ehre for just one week. In that time they managed a lot of different tasks, including weeding, clearing the garden, planting lavender and cleaning bee hives. Their attitude was always excellent and they were very keen to learn new things. Polite, respectful and punctual. Just an amazing couple to host. Anyone will be lucky to receive them in their house as they are the perfect workawayers. Please come back soon. Thank you for your hard work. It is really appreciated.

I spent reaaly nice six days at this place. 🥰 It was a great compromise for discovering La Paz and having time to myself: just two hours of work per day in exchange for three delicious meals and a private room for 90 bolivianos. Having my own space was a real bonus. It was also great to share this week with another volunteer from Venezuela. Please note: If you are traveling alone and there are no other volunteers, be prepared to spend a lot of time on your own. 😊 Many thanks to Rosa and Gori for their generosity and for sharing! 🙏

Meg stayed with us for a week at our small public school in the middle of nowhere – and what a wonderful week it was! From the moment she arrived, Megan was punctual, independent, and well-prepared for every lesson. She managed the classroom confidently, even when things got a bit noisy or students got distracted — a true teacher's skill! She connected especially well with our older students, who really appreciated her clear pronunciation and natural, fluent English. Some of them may have even developed a little crush! 😊 For our youngest learners, Megan did a great job adjusting her language and taught the kids a very cool autumn song. Megan created a positive and welcoming atmosphere in every class. Her friendly attitude, constant smile, and ability to keep students engaged made her a hit with everyone. After each lesson, the kids were full of excitement and always asked when she’d be coming back. This has been one of our best experience with international cooperation so far, and we’d wholeheartedly recommend Megan to any future hosts. She’s a sweet young lady with a natural gift for teaching and truly lovely to be around. Thank you, Meg – you’re welcome back anytime!

our stay at the farm was short, but very intense and enriching. ju and jaques are lovely people and great hosts. they run a big farm, a beautiful family, many projects at the same time and still find time and energy to be welcoming, comprehensible and kind. besides the great accommodation, they provided delicious homemade bacon, fresh eggs, milk, yogurt and cheese, all from the farm. we helped in bio construction, building a cob house, and cleaning the kitchen where they produce delicious farm to table food. also, we were entrusted with their dearest treasure while babysitting sweet benji. working with them was pleasant and fun, we learned a lot. in our free time, we enjoyed the house and ourselves chilling, reading, cooking, watching the sky and the birds. with an amazing sunrise to start the day, the view from our terrace was beautiful. our days were filled with nature and stillness. grateful for this experience and for the people we met. this project was quite special, we learned a lot from it. happy to be part of it and ready to come back and stay in the house we helped building!

this project was a beautiful gift, a truly hidden gem. we never thought that we'd find so much happiness and peace in the end of the world. only a few steps from the beach, we had the pleasure of being welcomed by manja and norbert, such generous and kind-hearted people. they're unique and made our stay unforgettable with absolutely delicious homemade food, fun conversations, great music and memorable life lessons. working never felt like work, it was always pleasant and enjoyable. our job was mainly maintaining their huge garden, cleaning and preparing the rooms for guests. hours were always respected and we appreciated the freedom and trust while we did our tasks. we got busy working in the mornings, but had the rest of the day to enjoy ourselves. followed by the breakfast, the highlight of our days was being walked at the the beach by Momo and Klaus, the ultimate best guides you can get in costa dourada. and the weekends couldn't be better with the best pizzas ever for dinner! being part of this magical place was an invitation for grounding, contemplation and connection, we definitely felt close to ourselves after our time there and inspired by the moments we lived. grateful for the learnings and for the memories we'll cherish for a life time, we were already thinking about coming back even before leaving. can't recommend this experience enough!

Dear Nina and Patrick! I absolutely loveeeed my time at your cozy place! I felt comfortable from the first moment, fell in love with the baby ducks and the songs of singing birds you can listen to during day and nighttime. This is the perfect place to find inner peace and connect with people, who are likeminded in various ways. I am so grateful that I was allowed to join the workshops and help with things around the house and taking care of the animals. 🐤🐈 You can see and feel the love for details, Nina and Patrick put into their work and the GARDEN!! 🌸 So many things to learn, see, smell, taste, hear and feel. Time for finetuning all of your senses. Living WITH nature because we are a part of it- one thing I learned to experience here. The "work" does not even feel like work, sometimes you can combine it with a silent meditation while plugging weed. 🌱 Thank you for every chat we had and for giving me the feeling to be heard and understood. Jennifer is a beautiful and friendly young lady who was always willing to help and did a fantastic job with every task I needed done. She’s energetic, proactive, and made the most of her free time exploring the Gold Coast! I truly enjoyed her company and appreciated her help immensely 🩷

I volunteered at the farm for a week in October and had a wonderful, immersive experience. Although the harvest season had ended, there was still plenty to do, like weeding, planting, and general farm maintenance. The atmosphere was warm and social among the volunteers, local women, and Mayoor, who generously shared his knowledge of sustainable farming and processing. Mukunth, the volunteer coordinator, was also great at recommending local spots and activities such as visiting the nearby temple or exploring Mulky and Mangalore for surfing or kayaking. Additionally, the food was fantastic, with a variety of South Indian dishes. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to learn, connect, and experience authentic farm life in south India.

I spent over two months volunteering at this surf camp, and I 100% recommend it. It was my first Workaway experience, and I don’t regret going for a single second. The hostel is a great place to live, and you meet so many amazing people there. Jason and Kiera make you feel comfortable right away — it quickly starts to feel like home. JBay is an awesome town, a great place to stay, and of course, the surf never disappoints. Whether you want to learn or improve your skills, it’s the perfect spot. Thank you again for the warm welcome I received here. If the chance comes up, I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to come back.

This was my first workaway and I'm glad Silvia is very accommodating and is sure to include me in everything. As an international student, eating homecooked meals is something I really missed and Silvia managed to bring back that feeling. Every night, we would eat dinners with guests. It was a new and interesting experience for me. Yop and pip are also very energetic. The tasks are not that difficult and I liked the schedule. Thank you for showing me around Workum and Sneek!

What wonderful people Julia and Stefan are! I contacted them quite spontaneously during my bikepacking trip. Even though they already had a Workawayer and were on vacation at the time, they still offered me the chance to stay in their beautiful home for a week and take care of their lovely cat, Antoine. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to meet them in person, but I was honestly overwhelmed by their kindness. Their hospitality speaks for itself. I can only recommend doing a Workaway with them and I’m sure anyone will have an amazing time. A huge thank you, and hopefully see you sometime in the future!

This was my first workaway stay and I had amazing 14 days with Valérie and Lionel and their other coworkers. I had my own apartment and worked on renovating other apartments/ house, quite independently, but at the same time with a lot of support by Valerie and enjoyed working in a team with the other coworkers, Lionel, depsite being very busy is helpful withe xperience and (sometimes crazy) ideas and fun talking to, when he finds time. Valérie is very caring and prepares meals according to indiviidual needs and is willing to explain and show the surroundings. Having a coffee each day after work in the beach coffees of Ile Rousse and enjoying Corsica by motorbike was a great gift. Looking forward to coming back in spring for a week or two.

We stayed at this farm for a few weeks and enjoyed this quintessential Australian coastal property, sitting high amongst bushland looking east over the sea. Bill is a colourful character who warmly hosted us, along with his motley crew of goats, alapacas, geese, chickens, guinea fowl and peacocks. It was physical work and expected for the upkeep of a few dwellings over a rural acerage with vege gardens. Evenings were lively over shared meals and we all took turns to cook dinner and clean up. We thank Bill and Skye for having us in their home and recommend this to anyone who wants to explore the south coast.

Kevin is a centered, peaceful person and a focused hard worker. We’re still in the middle of helping our land, apiary, and future growing areas recover from a wildfire, and Kevin showed a lot of dedication with the work. We always had a good time playing basketball after dinner, then staying up and sharing travel stories, trading rap lyrics, hearing about the new perspectives he’s gotten from his long journeys by motorcycle everywhere from Vietnam to Texas.

Carole was a great help at our retreat center. She was here for a week helping out with anything we needed help with. Mostly kitchen cleanup work but she was up for doing anything. Carole is open-minded, hard working and super friendly. She isn’t afraid of taking initiative and asking questions. Always a smile on her face, Carole was a great addition to our team every day. The guests really enjoyed her calm and joyous presence as well. We highly recommend hiring Carole!

My experience at Bjarni's was super: Selfoss is an amazing small town, the work was easy and interesting, if you love books it's paradise. Bjarni is the best possible host, I don't think you could find a better one. I was unlucky and got sick while I was there, and he took care of me taking me to the hospital and making sure I had everything I needed, I'm extremely grateful for that. Every day was a new experience and it was so interesting to listen to his stories and get to meet his friends and family, everyone was so welcoming and kind with me and the other volunteers. It was also a perfect chance to try and learn icelandic, which is an amazing language. Takk fyrir Bjarni, ég vona að sjá þig fljótlega! :)

I spent 9 days with Yael and it was a wonderful first Workaway experience. She’s a strong, wise, and fascinating woman — I loved our conversations and learned a lot from her. The food she cooked was absolutely amazing, and the work was pleasant and varied: weeding, painting, helping with the Open Tables by making salads, doing dishes, setting tables — some days quieter, others busier, always enjoyable. I shared a room with another Workawayer, which worked out great, and there were two others staying at the same time, which made the experience even nicer. The house is large, surrounded by a beautiful garden with three friendly cats. Almoradí is close by and has everything you might need; you can borrow a bike to get there. Thank you, Yael, for hosting me — I’ll definitely be back!

I spent some wonderful weeks here in September and October. What James, Teddy, and Muhd have created there is truly inspiring — a space where children not only learn but also feel safe, seen, and loved. You can feel their joy the moment they arrive, eager to read, write, or join the daily learning sessions in basic digital skills. Two days stood out in particular. The first was when the children wrote letters about their dreams — who they want to become, what skills they hope to learn, and what inspires them. These weren’t just letters; they were windows into their hearts, filled with honesty and hope. We were honored to take them along on our journey to find “pen friends” who will write back. The second was a hands-on baking day — “How to bake a cake without an oven.” Under Jenifer’s guidance, the children watched in awe as a pot filled with sand on charcoal became an oven. A smaller pot with the batter was placed inside, and soon the air was filled with the smell of success — the cake came out perfect and disappeared fast! Teddy and Muhd were fantastic hosts: kind, communicative, and attentive to every detail. They showed us around the area — from the nearby fishing village by Lake Victoria to the local markets, the modern mall, and the park — always making sure we felt welcome and safe. I wholeheartedly recommend this host — a place of purpose, learning, and love, held by deeply skilled and caring spaceholders.
