We had a great time at Cressey's. The hours were flexible, and the work wasn't too hard. We removed a lot of nails from floorboards, cleaned a few gutters, and mowed the lawn. We had a granny flat that had everything we needed for the four days, including food, which Cressey provided. Cressey was very nice and accommodating—thanks for hosting us so spontaneously.

Verena was the most wonderful worker, so skilled in countless ways, building, gardening, cooking, housework but best of all she was a wonderful therapist (professional) who helped me greatly with my serious health issues. I always left the massage table after a session with V feeling rejuvenated and with far less pain. Thank you so much V for all your help in so many ways.

I had such a wonderful time with everyone involved here. It is a beautiful opportunity with many active projects open for volunteer support as well as helping at the school. All the team are so kind, welcoming and friendly and the children are too and so happy working and playing with the many changing volunteers. An intermediate level of spanish at least is definitely a must for ease with the children and organisers. The project was very accommodating to making sure my volunteering time matched up with my own working schedule. They are very open to you sharing your own skillsets and ideas for activities and classes which is such an invaluable opportunity. I worked in the afternoons where the atmosphere was more of an after-school club where we played games together, sports, and I helped with their homework and extra english classes. Be prepared for the responsibility of managing your own classes if you wish to, another experience I’m so grateful to have been able to do. I will miss the joy that each and everyone brought every day I was there and I hope to return again <3 Ericka’s family are very special and even though I didn’t stay with them they always welcomed me for dinners and celebrations together, they are all so dedicated to this amazing project and it just wouldn’t be the same without their beautiful caring hearts, mucho amor y muchas gracias por todo xxx

My 2-week volunteer experience at Boley, Django, and Teal’s farm was great. My chores were laborious and fun since I was the only volunteer at that time. I stayed at the reception area, and I love it, especially at night when I am working with all the stars, crickets, and a few fireflies around. It was a great experience as Boley shared tips on permaculture, farming, and making tea. I shared my all-time favorite pastry, the "red pie," and some Bisaya words. Also, my 2-week stay had me meet new friends, roam other parts of the Island, and I experienced strong earthquakes while on my hammock. Travelling 6 hours back and forth on my motorbike from home to Siargao was definitely worth it! Sadly, on my last day on the Island, I have to leave very early (3 am) cause that's the only ferry/cargo schedule to Surigao that day. Thank you, Boley, Django, and Teal! See you soon, guys! -Andrew aka Red Pie Guy

I struggle to find the right words to describe how wonderful a person and Workawayer Luca was. From the moment she stepped foot onto my property (and met Maple, her new best friend!), she shined in every way possible :) Her warm and bright personality along with her willingness to get into whatever work was asked of her and her natural abilities to complete tasks with ease made her, by far, one of the best Workawayers I've had over the years :) Luca helped out on various projects while she was here - from work in the garden and around the property, to helping process food in the kitchen, landscaping projects, and more. Her attention to detail and ability to understand and complete tasks was great. Socially, Luca was warm and friendly, and got along well with the other people in the house. She was positive and engaging, but was aware of both her own and others' need for personal time and space. Most memorable for me, however, was the bond that Luca created with my dog Maple. The two of them were almost inseparable, and Luca loved Maple as if she was her own. While I don't ever intend to give her up, Luca made an offer to take Maple from me if I ever find myself in a position to be unable to care for her myself, and I would not hesitate to take her up on that offer- I know Maple would be well loved and cared for :) I would welcome Luca back to my property anytime :)

Miriam and Cosimo are such wonderful examples of the best that Italian culture can offer! Everyone in the team of staff and family are super friendly and always willing to teach new skills. As I was fresh out of wine school and wanted to learn about Enology I got the chance to work in the cellar as well as at the end of my time experience the bottling of the wine. I can't wait to return one day to do the grape harvest and see everyone again. Thanks so much for welcoming me to your way of life in Tuscany!

Thank you to Caralyn and Glen for hosting our family for 3 weeks. They were warm and welcoming and our family (with children 7 and 5) really enjoyed learning about goat farming, caring for the kids and feeding the animals. We even got included in attending the Kojonup agricultural show at the end of the stay. We worked hard here, with early mornings and late afternoons, but were grateful for the time we were allowed to homeschool our children and also to go and explore the Albany region on days off and in the middle of the day. The local area is fantastic. What an interesting and beautiful town, with so much going on for anyone. The beaches are some of the finest in Aus and the museums were great. We had a very comfortable caravan for the family, which was great, and useful to live separately and have our own space as a family, especially when here for a longer term. But we were grateful for the mealtimes we shared and use of all their facilities. Overall, we had such an experience with you, thank you for everything.

This was a lovely experience near Margaret River. Phil and Mel were great hosts, although they live some distance away. This is simple living and the family were very gracious in allowing us to use the donga for our family. We enjoyed working on the permaculture farm, doing helpful jobs and supporting the use of organics. There was lots of fresh produce for us to use in cooking, too. We are very grateful to Mel and Phil for the experiences. The farm is superbly situated for the local area, which was fantastic to explore with children; caves, beaches and parks. And the town itself is lovely, with lots of culture and nice shops and eateries. The twice weekly 'soupie' is not to be missed! Thank you both so much.

Espero regresar pronto.

Judith and Simon are the warmest, most generous hosts you could wish for. They bravely took on our family (inc children, 7 and 5)! The house, and cultural mixing and sharing of stories was wonderful. They also had a beautiful french couple working locally and staying with them and the atmosphere amongst us all was so memorable and homely. We were very sad to leave. The work was fun and fair and it was nice to do something for the family, and they were accepting of the fact that both of us could not work at the same time due to homeschooling our children. We were introduced to the wider family and even took a trips out to see more of the countryside and surrounding area. They were ever thoughtful, understanding, fun and we will be forever grateful.

It was a real pleasure hosting Tim here at our ecological coffee farm. He’s a very strong, positive, and hard-working person with great energy and a genuine willingness to learn. During his stay, he helped with many different tasks. from gardening and coffee related work to general maintenance and physical projects. always with great attitude and curiosity. He quickly adapted to the rhythm of the farm and to the team, showing respect, kindness, and initiative every day. We really appreciated his company and contribution to the project. Also loved to practice english with him. Highly recommended volunteer. You’ll be lucky to have him on your project.

Mouna and Lucas, two people who embody the true definition of workwayers, very helpful and easy to host. They helped me with English and German, and in return I helped them with Wolof. Whenever they can help, they jump in with energy. It was very easy for them to integrate into the family and the village. Their love for people and animals is truly commendable... Thank you for coming and helping. I miss our open discussions (haha) and the whole family missed you. As I told you, you are always welcome in our home... nekkine bi nekhonena lol *das Zusammenleben war toll*😂

It has been a couple of weeks now and I haven't stopped reflecting on how much of a good time and education I had while in Mayo. If you want to experience real Canada you should do a workaway here. I went to Mayo for 6 weeks to nanny Kai and sometimes Nara when daycare wasn't on. Kai is the sweetest little outdoorsy girl ever and I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her. It was wonderful to see life through her eyes. The all round experience was excellent. The other workawayers that were there at the time felt like a little family and we were constantly finding new things to do and explore. The town of Mayo was fascinating. What initially seems like a sleepy town with not much going is not the case. There were so many community events which meant I was constantly learning about peoples stories, the nature, the lifestyles. It is a village with such a strong sense of community. I'm grateful to have experienced it. While here I went on a 2-day canoe trip, a trip to Dawson/Tombstone, to the gun-range, a fiddle lesson, fishing, visiting Norma, coffees at Idizi, karoake in Keno. And my goodness some incredible auroras! To Gabby and Roman I am thankful for the opportunity to get off the beaten path and explore the beauty that is the Yukon. And also for being great workaway hosts for my first one!

Memorable enriching experience staying at Helen's. Despite her ongoing health challenges during my stay, Helen shines with her generosity, positivity, and strengths with zest for life. I'd miss the shared meals and time with Helen & friends. I'd reminisce beautiful paths walked through with my sweet Pepa. I'd smile imagining myself still collecting fresh eggs for our breakfast time. I thank the universe that our paths crossed. Till we meet again ... Gute Besserung, Helen.

Makenna is an extremely good friend to spend time with. She is very precise, punctual and ready to undertake tasks that are new to her, and she does them very well thanks to her good will and brightness, which also surfaces with creative advises. Quick learner, good hands, strong and resistant. Interesting conversation and altogether a very lovely presence with a nice disposition to cheerfulness. Clean and orderly. Highly recommended.

I spent three weeks at Noah’s Ark as my first Workaway experience. It was a wonderful time full of fun and helping Ola and Jeremy prepare the hostel for the upcoming season!Work was fair and enjoyable. The old hostel has a unique, very welcoming and friendly spirit. If you ever come to the Greymouth and West Coast, I totally recommend spending some time at this place. I felt there like at home:)

I stayed with Jimmy for two weeks and had a really good time. Jimmy is an excellent cook but also a very kind and interesting person to be around. Don’t miss this opportunity! Karla and her family are truly amazing — kind, generous, and full of warmth. You’ll be living in an enchanted cedar forest, waking up to the sound of birds, and enjoying peaceful morning walks along the creek with your coffee in hand. If you love DIY projects or want to learn more about gardening, this is absolutely the right place for you! There’s a beautiful sense of sharing and caring on this farm — don’t miss the chance to be part of it. Karla is an incredible host, and we already miss our time in her magical world. We can’t thank you enough for everything — 10 stars out of 5! With love, Fred, Alexia, and Philippe xxxxxx

I had a really great time staying with Frank! The three weeks were full of nice experiences. I learned a lot, met wonderful people, and felt welcome from the very beginning. I also learned a lot from his friend Dave, who was always willing to share his knowledge. It was a pleasure spending time and working with both of them!
